I assume the kit refers to being in a retail box, usually with some kind of software, mounting rails (for mounting in a 5 1/4" drive bay) and screws. At least that is what they usually refer to.

I think they are both comparable. They both have the same resolution, which is why I upgraded from my 3-year-old 17" to the 2001FP instead of a 19" since it would have had the same resolution.

BenQ is an above-average manufacturer. Better than those SVA/Sceptre/Sylvania models that have been available lately. No, you should be able to get that deal several times per month for the forseeable future. Most likely prices will slowly come down and you will be able to get it even cheaper in a few months.

Yes it was $119.99 pre-rebate and is now $139.99 pre-rebate (from Amazon). The rebate link was listed with the deal on the main site. For some reason on Amazon's site, it doesn't show the rebate when Amazon isn't the "default" seller for an item, which is why it doesn't show up now.

Same explanation. If we bump a previous deal to the top of the home page, it gets a new ID#, so we can choose to either delete the old one or keep it in the archive. Usually if a deal is less than 4-5 days old, we'll delete the old one. Otherwise we keep it in there in case Google or Yahoo have already spidered the old page. That way people coming to the site get less 404 errors from deals that were deleted. It also keeps Google and Yahoo happy, and we need them happy to get new people to the site :)
