  1. Dany, Those links have our affiliate link in them, so they might be blocked by a program on your computer. If you can't get them to work on your home computer, then try these direct links: http://www.computers4sure.com/product.asp?productid=1857727 http://www.computers4sure.com/product.asp?productid=1817830
  2. As for the wireless adapter, there are 2 main choices. Here is the cheapest prices I could find for each: Linksys Wireless-B Game Adapter - $52.64 shipped at Amazon Microsoft Wireless-G Xbox Adapter - $78.24 shipped at Amazon If you have a 802.11g adapter, the MS one might be worth the extra cost, otherwise I've heard great things about the Linksys one. Computers4Sure carries the Linksys model for a few bucks more (search for WGA11B), so you could add it to your existing order or place a separate order from Amazon to save a few bucks.
  3. Dany, Here is the best I could do: This is through Computers4Sure, which is owned by OfficeDepot, so it's a legit company. First add the XBox Console for $149.99. Next add this Network Cable for $1.95 to get your order total over $150. On the screen with your shopping cart, on the right column in really tiny print you will see a link to enter a coupon code. Click that link and enter coupon code LSC994 to save $15 off a $150 order. You also get free shipping. The total should end up being $136.94 shipped. No tax for GA residents either :) Hope this helps.
  4. If anyone would like a $25 bonus for being referred by a current account holder, just enter your e-mail address in the form on the site's home page. Or just PM RossMAN or me and we'll hook you up.
  5. Seriously, this is a great account to have. I've been holding off until now because I'm poor, but I think I am finally going to sign up.
  6. The $30 exclusive discount expired on Monday. There is a new $20 coupon available - see here: http://www.gottadeal.com/coupons-store-overstock.html
  7. There are a lot of products with free shipping available on the site. I was just browsing and there are TVs, MP3 players, DVD players, PDAs and more - and that's just in the electronics section. Plus plenty of dorm room "essentials". Remember the 10% coupon is only good a few more days, and a lot of the really hot deals are selling out quickly.
  8. Nice deal as they have many items that aren't available in stores, and even if the items are available, you pay sales tax either way, so the new coupon makes ordering online cheaper than buying in store.
  9. another day, another coupon. $30 off $400. 2001fp is once again $719.25 shipped. maybe we'll get lucky and dell will have a $50 off coupon tomorrow to put this thing under $700 shipped.
  10. http://www.coldstonecreamery.com/secondary/calendar.asp
  11. another day, another coupon - this time $35 off $450, so the LCD is $5 cheaper than yesterday. for those of you who don't know, dell's fiscal quarter ends this week, which is the reason they are offering all these coupons. don't wait until next week because you won't see these prices on the 2001fp anytime soon.
  12. yet another coupon - this time $30 off - get it for $719 shipped today
  13. As a price comparison, HomeVisions carries the same model for $280 + $45 shipping = $325 AND it doesn't even include the mattress like the Overstock deal does. Here is another site that carries it for $449 with mattress: http://www.affordable-beds.com/abbey_futon.htm So the Overstock deal is extremely hot.
  14. From the site: "Assembly required. This item ships in three boxes." So I'd imagine you could just do one or two boxes at a time from MBE if you needed to. I think the furniture at Overstock is nice quality. When I was looking for a headboard a few months ago their prices were a little cheaper than any other place for the same items. The $30 discount, $20 coupon and free shipping make it a nice deal, and it will definitely be better quality than the cheap metal frame WalMart $99 special futons that break the first week you use them. Plus this one wouldn't look out of place in a non-dorm room or apartment setting because it looks like actual furniture instead of a bare metal frame.
  15. New $40 coupon makes it only $709.25 shipped. Now is the time, people!
  16. I knew I should have waited when I ordered it for $749 2 weeks ago, lol. Great deal, great price, especially if Dell Home doesn't charge tax for your state.
  17. anyone have any ideas for a good name for an off-topic forum? something original besides "Off Topic" or "The Lounge"?
  18. waggy - From what I saw, there aren't many options for satellite internet (mostly DirecWay) and therefore you won't find many deals, if any. All the places I saw also make you pay for equipment either up front or over time like your in-laws do. I'd maybe look into combining the internet and TV service - check out RapidSatellite.com to see if they have any combo deals. I'll keep looking and if I find anything else I'll let you know.
  19. Dell 2001FP is now only $749 shipped (plus tax) at Dell Small Business: http://www.gottadeal.com/deal-info-id-2777-store-dellsb.html
  20. Good deal. That's the one we bought a few years ago. With the coupon that's a great price.
  21. Hey mugs, Here are some options: 900MHz Uniden @ Amazon for $34.99 shipped (no answering machine): http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000WZWXI 5.8GHz VTech @ Amazon for $89.99 shipped: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0001MR140 I think most of the bundles at Sam's and Costco will be in the $130-150 range for 5.8GHz. The 5.8GHz model at Amazon that I linked above got a few nice reviews. Positives were that the 2 phones use a shared address book, and they use standard AAA NiMH batteries, so no fancy proprietary batteries that you can't find. One negative someone mentioned is that it only supports these 2 phones, so if you need to add more later, you're out of luck. Still seems like a nice deal in your price range. I think I am going to post it on the main site in case anyone else is looking for a similar deal.
  22. Here is a Planar 20" at eCost for $859 shipped (they offered me an additional $4 off when I placed it in my cart as well)
  23. Tim, You are right about that resolution only being on 20"+ models. I have a 17" with the 1280x1024 resolution and considered upgrading to a 19" until I realized they all had the same resolution. You have several options. One of the best options is always the almightly Dell 2001FP, but as you mentioned there aren't really any great deals on it going on at the moment. You could probably get it for around $869 after coupon, but nowhere near as good as the $749 it was a month or two ago. Some other options: Viewsonic VP201 @ eCost ($895) or $874 through TigerDirect Sony SDM-S204 @ Amazon Refurb 23" HP Model @ Overstock (bring price down with coupons) You might find some better deals browsing through Pricegrabber as well. Hopefully someone else can find something. Like I said, I am looking to upgrade myself, and there is really nothing out there that I would even consider getting right now (I'm still kicking myself for passing on the $749 Dell 20" deal)
  24. waggy, shipping is going to be a big factor. for example amazon and etoys carry quite a few but they all have shipping surcharges since they are so bulky and heavy. here are a few that you can look at: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000663PU http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00008X34T http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000067BIS http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000663PV http://www.etoys.com/genProduct.html/PID/1047270/ctid/17/INstock/Y/D/604/ls/default http://www.etoys.com/genProduct.html/PID/2682339/ctid/17/INstock/Y/D/636/ls/default we bought this one for a relative a few years ago and they got bored with it before it fell apart (a few years). walmart has it for around $90 with shipping included, but you might be able to find it at a local walmart for the $63 price. i'll keep looking and see if i can find anything better with free shipping. i was hoping overstock.com would have one since they have $2.95 shipping on everything, but they don't have a big toy section so no luck there.
