I'm probably going to keep it. If I already had a laptop I would consider selling it, but there are so many of these on eBay now since so many people bought them last week to sell, so I wouldn't make much on it anyway. Plus when I saw Dell's print ad in my Sunday paper, they had virtually the same configuration for $1499, so to get it for $799 (minus the tax deduction ), it's too hot of a deal not to keep it for myself, lol.

While we wait for the first ads... Does anyone have any good Black Friday "war stories" from previous years?
-
Agreed. The only 2 consoles I own are SNES and Dreamcast. Some great games for both of those systems.

I just posted a deal for the Elura 60 that Ross mentioned: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=2729 Not as hot as his "potential" deal, but still pretty good with 2 stackable coupons.

Lexar JumpDrive Secure 512MB USB Flash Drive - $27.99 Shipped - Buy.com
Brad replied to GottaDEAL's topic in Online Hot Deals
Another option is the 512MB Sandisk Cruzer for $29.88 AR at J&R: http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=3960826 -
I don't really see any really hot deals on those models now. ECost has an OK price on the 14 model, but nothing else that I can see right now. Give it another month and see what BF and the online stores have to offer. Dell usually has good deals on camcorders - many times 15-20% off plus $40 coupons, but they carry mostly Canon models.
-
There is a chance that there will be 2-3 really nice camcorder deals, but chances are any camcorder deal you'll see on BF will have been available online in the last few months. The "regular" prices are so high at places like BB that even the sale prices are not anything really hot. What particular model(s) are you looking for? Maybe we can find you a deal somewhere now.

Dell UltraSharp E173FP 17" LCD Monitor - $249.25
Brad replied to GottaDEAL's topic in Online Hot Deals
This is an amazing deal - a quality Dell LCD for $249.25 plus $13 shipping. No rebate hassle either. The $35 coupon expires after 1500 uses, so order soon if you want in. -
Due to overwhelming demand, Dell has notified it's affiliates that it is pulling the coupon around 3pm CST, so if you are on the fence, you better make your mind up soon. From their e-mail: "We have had amazing results, and we are running at over 5 times our projected run rate. We've never experimented with an offer this rich before, and this test has proven the strength and elasticity of the affiliate channel."

I thought about getting the bigger battery after reading reviews that said the standard battery only lasted around 2 hours, but the bigger one sticks out quite a bit on the back and makes it a little heavier, so considering I was getting it because it was so light and small, I didn't want to add more size and weight (but I can always get it later if battery life becomes a concern) Some reviews on the 700m: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.aspx?newsID=2022 http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1627592,00.asp http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=51&threadid=1388819&enterthread=y http://notebookforums.com/archive/index.php/t-42935.html http://forum.osnn.net/showthread.php?t=40520&page=1&pp=20

I was able to place an order for a 700m. My order confirmation does show the $200 rebate, so (at least when I ordered) they are stackable. Rumors are Dell is going to (if they haven't already) kill the rebates, so order soon if you want in. My final price should be $799 shipped after rebate. I took the standard 1.6GHz config and upgraded to the 60GB HD to get the total to $1499.

For anyone interested, here is a list of items we had in our Black Friday database last year: http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/black_friday_2003.txt

So let's kick off the forum with this question: What are you looking to get a great deal on during Black Friday this year? Last year was a big year for laptops and electronics (DVD players, TVs, etc...). What about this year?

Pioneer DEH-P4600MP CD/MP3/WMA Receiver - $131.99 - Etronics
Brad replied to GottaDEAL's topic in Online Hot Deals
There is an adapter for the Pioneer that converts their IPBUS input to a regular a/v input. You would connect that to the rear of the unit, then the XM output to the other end. I bought the adapter at crutchfield, but you might find it cheaper elsewhere -

I bought everything I needed at CircuitCity. I too have a weird dash size, but CC had the dash kit for around $12. What vehicle (model/year) do you have? -

I thought the same thing, but I was able to do it easily, and that included hooking up my XM to the aux. input and another adapter that I needed to keep my car's chime and retained accessory power working. As with any head unit, you might need other parts such as wiring harnesses or dash kits to make it look good, but the actual installation is easy, even for a car audio n00b like me, lol -

I have the non-premier version. Works great. -
There are some auctions on eBay with buy-it-now for $330 as well.
