I need a few movie ideas for a 30-year-old woman. Imagine you are snowed in - or just don't want to go out - what would you curl up on the couch and watch WITH your DH or boyfriend? I'm not sure what she has, so I was thinking more of a classic. All I have so far is The Princess Bride...

The Devil wears Prada, I am around that age and finally bought it for myself when it was on sale on BF, it was the first movie in a long time that I actually enjoyed watching by myself, guess I can relate I have had my share of "evil" bosses.......what is she interested in?

I enjoyed The Lakehouse with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves,

you have to watch it several time to figure it out.

I also liked Premonition with her in it/another one to watch again to understand.

I like that movie too. But what I really like was Keanu! The guy is in his 40's and he hasn't aged.

Well, my faves to watch (with OR w/out DH) are:

What Women Want

The Holiday

Serendipity (great romantic movie w/ John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale)

August Rush

Fever Pitch

50 First Dates

Anything in the 80's brat pack line - Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, St. Elmo's Fire

Head over Heels with Freddie Prinze Jr, its an oldie but it's so funny! It's a romance but dh laughed so hard that I had to take his drink away. We gave it to my brothers a couple of years ago.

Thanks for all the ideas! I got them Waking Ned Devine (hope it's good - I haven't seen it yet but the reviews are great) and Frequency. For better or worse, they are on their way.

All the above are perfect. Last year I did a book and the movie that came out after...

Deep end of the ocean(michelle pfieffer) book and movie

The notebook

Gotta put my two cents in...

Serendipity

Music of the Heart

Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio

Sweet Home Alabama

A Walk to Remember

Devil Wears Prada

Where the Heart Is

Bridges of Madison County

Oops.. just saw it had to be one to watch with my DH... okay, so he wouldn't watch any of those with me.

But we both like the movie "Deep Impact" with Morgan Freeman and Robert Duvall. It's got enough emotional stuff for a woman and the action/sci-fi stuff for a man. :)
