ReynoldsAssistant General Counsel andAssistant Corporate Secretary so... we may be unable to bring you the highly anticipated, extremely popular, loaded with deals... oh wait, we're talking about Big Lots. never mind, lol. They had a similar issue last year when their ad was posted, and nobody cared then either
freesia39 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Darn, I guess I can't go in and get... something that had a big lot.
SuperMommy Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 :gdcry:NOOOOOO!! WHY, WHY, WHY? That's it, BF is ruined, ruined I tell you! Seriously, I didn't even know that they were still in business in the first place. All the locations around here, that I know, of have been shut down.
amberjobryant Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 hey you would think they would want the publicity, last year we went there around 1pm and still got doorbusters!!!!!!!!
yuyi64 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Poor guy, maybe he can't help being such a scrooge! With a name like Chadwick he must have been beat up a lot in school.
sweetdiggity Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 "irreparable harm that Big Lots would suffer as a result of your violations of Big Lots’ rights" They cannot be serious!!! LMAO!! Who wants to go there anyways....
shopping mom Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 I don't think their name was mentioned in the want to see ads. I don't think I have ever gone there on BF either, so I guess I won't miss it.
PentiumMMX Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 It makes you wonder what Big Lots is going to have on sale...probably a bunch of crap nobody wants, hence why it's at Big Lots in the first place.
cre8kos4u Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Too funny. Like we really care what kind of crap they have. I really need the laugh. Thanks!!!
oldandintheway Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Oh, that is too funny. I always thought the purpose of the ads were to actually get people excited to come to your store and shop.... silly me .
bellastarr Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Big Lots has a black Friday ad? LOL... I didn't know people actually went there on Black Friday, or any day for that matter. The one here looks like a run down abandoned building in a run down section of town. I've never been into it.
DramaQueenLucy Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 LOL...dang I really wanted to see that ad...oh wait this is Big Lots Forget it! I have only gone there once on BF...it was around noon and yes there was still doorbusters!
amyers12345 Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 What?!?!?! How on earth can I be expected to figure out what discontinued items and nearly expired groceries to buy? --lying in the floor, shaking with withdrawals
yuyi64 Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 What?!?!?! How on earth can I be expected to figure out what discontinued items and nearly expired groceries to buy? --lying in the floor, shaking with withdrawalsDon't forget the"factory re-certified" items at pricing close to the new equivalent.
mysticmage Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 It's ruined. I can't believe it, I may not go shopping now.
elena_398 Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 and here I always race to Big Lots first. lol.
Doctor Gonzo Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Hey Chadwick, send me an email - I'll fix you up with this thing they call a "life" Oh, and maybe a date. With a name like that, you dont get out to often I'll bet. Seriously, shoot me an email...
Brad Posted October 11, 2008 Author Posted October 11, 2008 Hey Chadwick, send me an email - I'll fix you up with this thing they call a "life" Oh, and maybe a date. With a name like that, you dont get out to often I'll bet. Seriously, shoot me an email...When I replied to his e-mail (basically telling him we may or may not comply and he'd have to check the site every day to be sure), I made sure to refer to him as Chad instead of Chadwick, just to annoy him, lol.
2Broke2Shop Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 One time, maybe 4 or 5 years ago, we actually went to the Big Lots Black Friday sale. There was ONE thing in the ad we wanted, plus IIRC they were giving away a free clock. We went to ALL the other stores first, got there way after the store opened. Still got the door prize and the item on sale. Haven't been back since.
len_mullen Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 We lost our BL this spring. I miss it. It was my first stop coming out of Staples on BF and they always had something for free and a couple things for cheap.
dmintelsgt Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Big who ??? Their loss! Plenty of other stores in which to spend my $$$.
chrisjuvers Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 On a serious note *Chad is an idiot*. Does he really think we want to go to Big Lots and buy everyone's rejects? Maybe if they sue enought companies, Big Lots will get enough money to buy some inventory. Knock off products at above retail prices.
savanna Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 My mother in law works for big lots and a few years ago I posted the ad. Big waste of time shopping there. Every electronic item I have ever purchased there died within three months. The tv's didn't work out of the box and return policy is horrible. Out of 10 yrs the only item I ever purchased there that was worth it was (and mind you this is with an additional 20% employee discount) a $35 dirt devil and it is the only item still working. So as everyone is saying no big loss!!!!
BrotherFlounder Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 OH TEH NOES! Seriously, I don't think I've even seen a Big Lots in about 3 years.
racerfan Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 OH NO. This means I have to change my whole Black Friday strategy. I was planning on driving 1 hour to the Big Lots camping out there and getting all their "great" doorbusters then running to Best Buy/Circuit City to get their doorbuster (like a laptop and TV). My day is ruined and all the stuff BL has that I want I wont be able to get:no::no: I think NOT. I dont go to BL since there is none near me and they dont have things I want.:smart:
jkwier Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 This puzzles me. I would think that any store, especially Big Lots, would want all the free advertising they could get.
cassgurlie04 Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 blah blah blah yackedy smackedy, just another in the line of babies who dont want any of GottaDealers Money.
happysunshine28 Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 my favorite part 3. provide Big Lots with all of the details regarding how you or your company acquired the aforementioned advertisements.
