I am hoping their ad comes out again this year, early. But it is an even year. And looking back it has only come out in odd years. So:crossfing .

Yes, they have terrific deals and helpful employees standing in the aisles to tell you that bathrobes are in the wood trim department (for example)! Go early, stand in line - if you even think your store will be busy, do not attempt to drive into the parking lot at 15 minutes before opening time, or even 5 minutes after. Their deals are not all hammers and adhesives! I've bought a silky-sort-furry bathrobe, scented candles, really high-quality cotton sheet sets, a nice standing lamp (great for reading on a dark winter's night), fleece throw blankets and even a snow shovel.

Near Cincinatti? Chilicothe?

Sounds like it may open after Thanksgiving.

:yup:
and for most of the stuff they have tons of it in stock, they even re-stock some of the stuff when they run out, that's one place I never miss

Chillicothe? My dad's from there and I have so much family there! Sorry to hijack... I was reading because I love Menards, but never get to meet anyone who knows about Chillicothe.

Menards is very good to go - I'm there often enough for other projects that the folks working the week prior to BF will say, "if you're looking for this on Friday, check here" - really helpful folks.

I also like the way that the workers on BF stand at the end of each isle and are ready to help. We always ask where everything is.

Every employee knows where every item in that ad is, and if they can't remember then they find out for you. That plus them having a lot of stock of the sale items, I wish more stores would be like them. Now for the line outside, they need to follow what other stores do & get some type of system going outside before they open because of the amount of people that rush their doors when they open.

You will be surprised at the amount of Christmas presents that you end up getting from there! They will have toys & small electronics & things for your home and kitchen & blankets & candles & chocolates & wrapping paper & dvd's... There's a few things they will run out of that morning but a lot of the stuff they will have in stock for a couple days.

It usually takes about a month for them to get the store completely up and running. You should see a soft opening then.

We got tons of deals last year! We had to go to a neighboring town cause we do not have a super Menards yet...next year they say! But I was impressed with how many really great deals they had. I got tons of gifts last year and spent under 100.00 bucks!!

One other thing - at Menards, they stock their doorbusters and the like quite early - just look up higher on the racks and you'll see the pallets and the tell-tale marker writing telling you what's in the pallets.

Could Post when it is open. I live 60 Miles away and can not wait to be able to shop at Menard's Again on semi regular basis. I used to live 5 Miles from one and had 5 stores with 30 miles. I currently have to drive 120 Miles to get one.

Menards is great. I will for sure go there, and like another post said, you can get the deals and you don't have to be there when the doors open! I start very early, and usually end up there around 10 a.m. It's still a mad house then, and you can NEVER get a cart, but you can get some great stuff you wouldn't expect to see there. Big lines though, but worth the wait. This is one of my favorite ads, for sure.

Just saw an earlier post that said they are building a Menards at Northland? That's great. I haven't been up there in awhile--anyone know if it is under construction or just in the planning stages? It might be a little closer in distance, but with traffic it's probably shorter for us to go to the Lancaster store. But it would be nice to have one in that direction! If nothing else looks too exciting this BF, maybe we'll venture down to Lancaster to see what sort of trouble we can get into at Menards.

I am getting so anxious for this ad to come out. I know they will have the staple stuff. But what surprises do they hold this year. Did not like standing in the long line to check out, but man was it worth it. You know, I do believe that I spent 75% of my BF money at Menard's last year. Oh I can't wait.

Our Menards' line is sooo long on BF its insane! Its like the line from Target combined with half of Best Buys!! We never go to Menards on BF because by the time we get done with our usual stores (walmart, target, bb) Menards is soo packed!!

We were at menards this weekend and noticed large numbers of mixing bowl sets (stainless and ceramic), boot warmers, inflatable beds, steak knife sets, flatware sets, and boxes of crayola markers/coloring book sets. Also: there were pots/pans sets (aluminum type) as well as baking sets with cupcake pans and the like.

Last year I got the ad in the mail really early in my Sunday paper, I wonder if I'll get it early this year too?
