That but for the past two years I have become known to the store manager, district manager and the employees at BB that they will give me the WEP key to there secured network. Since I go to the same store every year the district manager and store manager have me in there phones and vice versa. They asked one year and I jokely said a internet connection and 10 minutes later they came out and gave me the WEP key. It pays to be loyal.

Oh Ok Thanks, that makes sense!!

I agree with everything BigJim has said. You really get to know the people around you. Last year, there was nowhere open in teh shopping center we were at, so we carpooled in groups to the gas station a block away. It was actually really cool. We didnt have a tent, but will this year. It was in the high 20's, but the wind was brutal. I brought an MP3 player, that I hardly used, my DS an a few games, also hardly used. Blankets, jackets, etc. And a nice lady who did have a tent shared a hand warmer with me, which I will DEFINATELY bring this year. DH stayed home with the kids, and a friend went with m. Just so happens he's a pretty big guy, so I wasn't worried even if things did get out of hand. But it was great. Everyone worked together to make it a fun time. And after tickets were passed out, thats when we all put our things away. By that point, you have been there 24 hrs or so, and there is no question as to who is where. The police officer did tell us tho that we had 30 mins, and if we were not in line by then, you would lose your spot. Best Buy is by far the most organized when it comes to camping out, and that is where I will be again!

Make sure it is something good like Mexican food.

1. Rent a Port-A-Potty to which you hold the key
2. Serve food that makes you go

I was at Wal Mart today and looked at there tents. You want a tent that does not require stakes since they are kinda hard to use on concrete.

Below is a good tent that I have been using that is easy to put up.

http://www.walmart.c...duct_id=5493340

And if you live in the cold you might want this as well. I used it last year and works great!

I don't wait in line in the morning but last year I waited for around 2 hours to check out at Kohl's. I'll be bringing a portable DVD player for us to pass the time.

The extent of my BF 'camping' expierences was last year at Kmart on TG to get a Wii. I got there at about 3am and was the second person (it was in a pretty small town). I only brought a chair, a bunch of blankets and a book. I just chatted with the woman who was before me and we had a great time! Besides that the only other waiting was done in previous BFs in Walmart (24hrs) and that was only about 2 hrs by the pallets of stuff. This year will probably be different since there are more 'hot' items that we want to try for, so all of this tips and lists are very useful!!

So true!

I think that is very funny BigJim, that they all bought the same tent you had. Whatever store they bought it from should give you commission. :yup:

WM tracks all the sales in real time and I would love to hear what they had to say when they sold out of the same tent and the same Coleman heater within a 2 hour time period.

As a good guy that I am I did help everyone put there tent up. After about the 3rd one I can put up the tent in 4 minutes. They are very easy tents and can be setup by one person.

I usually just stand in line in warm clothes. This year, though, if the pickins are good, I'll head out with a chair (I have two chairs I was going to throw out at the end of camping season) and my mp3/4 player (it plays movies).

A chair, portable dvd player & dvds, OJ, water, and a book. I wish I could bring a billy stick for the line cutters, but there's laws against that... Also of course my sale ads, list of items, and my plan of attack.

Definately hand and foot warmers! It's usually pretty cold here in Wisconsin in November, and those little heat packs can make the biggest difference.

I just dress warmly. I'll get to Target about 5am, and since most people will be at WalMart I get mighty close to the door. No one around here sets up tents. :(
When you're sad, don't fight it-accessorize it. Get some gin and cigarettes, then play Edith Piaf until the CD starts to skip.
