I agree with everything BigJim has said. You really get to know the people around you. Last year, there was nowhere open in teh shopping center we were at, so we carpooled in groups to the gas station a block away. It was actually really cool. We didnt have a tent, but will this year. It was in the high 20's, but the wind was brutal. I brought an MP3 player, that I hardly used, my DS an a few games, also hardly used. Blankets, jackets, etc. And a nice lady who did have a tent shared a hand warmer with me, which I will DEFINATELY bring this year. DH stayed home with the kids, and a friend went with m. Just so happens he's a pretty big guy, so I wasn't worried even if things did get out of hand. But it was great. Everyone worked together to make it a fun time. And after tickets were passed out, thats when we all put our things away. By that point, you have been there 24 hrs or so, and there is no question as to who is where. The police officer did tell us tho that we had 30 mins, and if we were not in line by then, you would lose your spot. Best Buy is by far the most organized when it comes to camping out, and that is where I will be again!
