  3. I never sleep Thanksgiving night. I'm way too excited.
  4. Let's see. I've been going to the Black Friday sales for about 25 years now. Wow. That makes me feel old.
  5. Old Fashioned Fudge Candy 3 cups granulated sugar 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa 1 1/2 cups milk 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup butter 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla 1 1/2 cups toasted chopped walnuts In a heavy 4-quart saucepan over medium heat combine sugar, cocoa, milk, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Continue cooking, not stirring, until mixture reaches 235° on a candy thermometer, or until it reaches soft ball stage**. Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla. Let stand to cool for about 1 hour, until mixture comes to room temperature. Wit a wooden spoon, beat until fudge thickens and loses its gloss. Stir in toasted walnuts and spoon into a buttered 8-inch square pan. Cool completely then cut into 1-inch squares. Makes about 64 pieces.
  6. 7. I am SO antsy! I have a whole plan to get organized and I'm still in the beginning stages for this year. I have to finish my lists!
  8. Oh wow! I first started going to Black Friday sales when i was about 12. My mom and my sisters and I always went together and still do. Mom brings the coffee, oldest sister brings mugs, 2nd sister brings doughnuts, I bring a map of the store and my other sister just brings her grumpy self. So fun!
  9. Last year, after hitting Walmart first thing, I hit Burlington Coat Factory for a Kitchenaid set of pots and pans that were on sale for $99. Well, I got there and found that there was only one set left and it was in my desired color of red but it was marked as 39.99. They gave it to me at that price!!! I was walking on sunshine after that. Black Friday is probably my favorite day of the year. Something amazing always happens!
