lisamag Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 YES MEEEEE! i went to bed at 3am my dd6 woke up (she slept in my bed last night) at 6:30 am to use the bathroom i carried her lol hoping that if she didn't see the presents she may go back to sleep, well we got back to my room and in bed for her to ask "isn't it time to open gifts yet?" so up we got along with her brother and they opened their presents. now i'm very tired . and ready for a nap!
snakeswiff Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 I dunno.....my kids must have been sedated....they didnt get up until 9. I was up at 8 wondering why they weren't up!
mmm40 Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 I was in bed somewhere between 2-3:30. The girls were up at 5:00. I permitted it because this is only the second Christmas the girls have ever had. Their first was last year. with me. Mandatory nap time starts in 7 minutes.
dereksmommy Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 finished everything up got to bed at 4am kids got me up at 7 am nap time for sure
ms_mckenna Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Went to bed at around 1 and slept till 9! :) So thankful my kids are older sometimes lol.
alimfp Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Kids woke at 10am. I didn't get much sleep but it's my own fault.
Shortness Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 I went to bed almost 1. Dh woke me up at 6, got back to sleep, then kids got up for stockings at 8. Can't complain about that. All good-the joy on the kids' face is great. Dh is sleeping now, and I'm tired, but caffeined up--and fighting a virus.... Not looking forward to travelling tomorrow.
DramaQueenLucy Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 I went to bed about 11:30 DS15 made me a cup of tea and put the casserol in the oven then woke me at 6:30...very sweet he is a good boy...:)
love a deal Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Went to bed at 11pm and was up at 6AM:tired:
floridasun5 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I always feel out of the loop nowadays since my dd is 14 so I dont need to stay up all night putting toys together LOL and I dont have the kids that come jumping into the bed early in the morning to wake us up. So, I was in bed about 10:30pm and dd woke me up by just banging around in the kitchen at 7am :)
beccas302 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 went to bed at 1am, DS got up at 430 and stayed in his room until 530ish. After opening presents, I took a nap until 930am when DH woke me up with breakfast!
vicmx1 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Although I do miss the joy of Santa, I don't miss the getting up at 6:00am now that both DS's are older (13 and 20). I went to bed at 11:30 and and got up at 8. Then spent the remainder of the day in the kitchen cooking!
teebee Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 2 hours sleep, got up at 5:30, still no sleep!!!!!!!!!!
pogiporkchop Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I went to bed at 1:30, DS got up sometime between 7:30 and 8 and curled up on the couch watching cartoons loudly. I asked him if Santa had been to our house and he said no so I told him he better look at the tree. Didn't take long for him to start begging to open presents :)
shanni Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I can never sleep on Christmas eve, I'm worse than the kids. I went to be about 2 and woke them up at 5:30
tiredmom214 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 We went to bed at 4:30. Kids woke us up at 8. We were some grumpy people!:)
tntsmomie Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 We went to bed around 1130-12, woke up at 7 wondering why the house was so quiet! DD was awake, but sitting in bed with a on her face. DS was kind of groggy, but ready to see if Santa brought his big tractor toy. I'm sure if I give it few years, they'll be getting up earlier! I remember negotiating alarm times with my mom & brothers when I was a kid...I think we did 5am or something one year!
zingerhil Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I slept in my niece's room this year (home for the holidays) and was expecting her to wake me up super early. I'm so glad that she slept in until 7
