buckwheat_jegc Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 These coupons were designed to give out as halloween treats. I love the new Vanilla frosty, so the ten frostys for a dollar will be split between my oldest son and I.
caramel Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Vanilla frosty...what is the world coming to. It's bad enough that they raised the prices of the Texas Double.
dajulkrin Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Are these the small size or is there an "extra small" for these?Last yr. our Wendy's had a kid's size for this coupon, but it really is a perfect size for little kids, I am making all the kids in my children's class a take home Halloween goodie bag and i am including one coupon in each, that's a pretty cheap treat.
Novac Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 It should be noted that, at least for mine, the coupons aren't good until 11/1. We don't do Halloween, but I bought a set to give to my son for rewards :)
mom2thegirls Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Most if not all Wendy's in St. Louis are shut down.
happyrat Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Vanilla frosty...what is the world coming to. It's bad enough that they raised the prices of the Texas Double. When did they in your area? I just ate one a month or so ago for 99cents. I know its now only at the "corporate stores" but I think they are still the same price. The did raise the price of fries, and soda though. I liked the 99cent biggie fries and drink.
arrowpolisher Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 We don't do Halloween either, but I always get these for my children. The older ones who don't qualify for the age limit I do buy the .99 one. So since our oldest is out of the home now, I can get all 7 of them a frosty for 1.99. That is a great deal.
MaddynAllysMom02 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Love the Cardinal eating that damn Cheetah, Mom.........lol.......... All of the Wendys that I ever knew of are gone, St Louis must have been a bad market for that.
schwoozer Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 I'm gonna have to pick some of these up. I know they start on 11/1...when do they expire?
Clickchrissyccc Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 They expire at the end of dec. ,also try the carl jrs oupon book from fund rasiers you can get two meals for under 5.00.
ccarson1972 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 I think I will go pick up some of these for my son's Halloween party tomorrow. Thanks!!

happyrat Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 That sounds right. I would ask that location where the nearest corporate owned store is. They should still have them at 99cents.
lindabacker Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 ok for us non-texans - What is a texas double??????????????????????
guardado4 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 ok for us non-texans - What is a texas double??????????????????????I was wondering the same thing. I have never seen one of those at Wendy's. Also, does anyone know if they have these in California?
Novac Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 I've never heard of a Texas Double either, but I found a blog entry with this description (and if it's on the internet, it must be true!): It is a quarter-pound double-cheeseburger, with mustard and onions and lettuce and tomato. One makes a great snack. Two make a great meal. It is, for all intents and purposes, perfect.
sigrist_2000 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Its a regional sandwich. Texas area has the Texas Burger Ohio has the Buckeye Burger Virginia/Carolina has the Carolina Burger Some stores accept the frosty coupons earlier! The stores in Marysville are SOLD OUT! They been sold out for almost a week now. Those stores are accepting them now. Wendy's will start having GIFT CARDS starting November 1st. Increments of $5, up to max $200. And they are rechargeable! (they will replace Gift Certificates (dont worry you can still use the certificates...they dont expire, you just wont be able to buy them then). Double Melts start around/on Nov. 24....Marysville has had them for a month now! Watch for a GIFT CARD PROMO with these on that date!
bugsette Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 wow thanks will have to go to Wendy's tomorrow
Josher5513 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Hmm.. I have no problem locating Wendy's in St. Louis...?
becca0884 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 This is what I found when searching for a St. Louis Wendy's: The Wendy's restaurant(s) closest to you: You Searched From:SAINT LOUIS MO 63110 US 1. EDWARDSVILLE6104 CENTER GROVE ROADEDWARDSVILLE, IL 62025 US(618) 692-816019.31 miles
Guest buddy72192 Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 good deal!, but they are Super small. I need 5 of them just to equal a regular.
Novac Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Some stores accept the frosty coupons earlier!I'm sure this must be a YMMV-type deal. I'll bet you could redeem McD's or BK coupons if you get the right employee Does the Wendy's that accepted your coupon advertise that they accept them, or did you just ask if you could use it?
mom2thegirls Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Hmm.. I have no problem locating Wendy's in St. Louis...?The one on Kingshighway by Chippewa is closed, as well as the one on Lindell up by SLU. The chairs and tables are still there but no one works there any more.
sigrist_2000 Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 I'm sure this must be a YMMV-type deal. I'll bet you could redeem McD's or BK coupons if you get the right employee Does the Wendy's that accepted your coupon advertise that they accept them, or did you just ask if you could use it?yes its a YMMV thing. And yes you could use a Mcd or BK coupon too..YMMV also...plus it wuld depend on who was taking your coupon...but generally if its something equalivant to an item Wendy's offer, they would generally accept it..."customers are always right; or 'Do the Right thing". The do this because they want your business...even if they have to give you something that upfront costs them..but theoritically hoping that you come back and spend $$ at Wendys and not the competitor... i would normally ask first or just play dumb and say that you didnt know that they werent usuable til Nov 1...(you can get away with this at franchises...company stores i wouldnt even try...lol)
denoli Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 hi new on gottadeal none of the wendy's i have called have these coupons....any ideas i need for kids halloween party thanks already know i love gottadeal
sigrist_2000 Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 hinew on gottadealnone of the wendy's i have called have these coupons....any ideas i need for kids halloween partythanks already know i love gottadealWelcome to the best site on the web!!! Your store might be sold out! Might have to try another one
Novac Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 The Wendy's I bought this for had the $1 going to a charity or some other sort of "cause". Does everyone have this connection, or are they just selling the coupons? "customers are always right; or 'Do the Right thing". The do this because they want your business...If it's that location's policy, yes. But at FF joints, usually it's a matter of "I'm a teenager getting paid minimum wage to work this lousy job that I don't care about, so if you want to use your silly coupon, go right ahead."
