  1. I was thinking foods from his past also:) My Fil has macular degeneration so cannot see well at all anymore( I think they have declared him legally blind) and he loves books on tape. They have some old series on mp3( they also have tapes, cds, dvd-r, and hard drive transfer) at www.dadsotr.com or www.originaloldradio.com.
  2. What about an ice cream sundae basket. I made one once for my dh's aunt and uncle. I bought pretty sundae glasses, a nice scooper, and toppings. I got hot fudge and caramel topping from See's Candies( yummy) but I am sure you find some at a candy store near you. You could add money for the ice cream or a gift card from their grocery store. I also have made rice pillows for my family. just a small bag of muslin filled with rice, then a " pillowcase" to go over it. Heat it in the microwave for 3-4 mins till heated through. It works as a heating pad. We love them and they are really cheap.
  3. I love this idea for my parents. I could fill it out then ship to 1 sis. She can put hers in and ship to the other sis who lives by our parents.
  4. www.nationalwildlife.org has a lot of wolf stuff( at least it did last time I was there) It may be expensive though, not sure. Be sure to check the clearance stuff.
  5. I agree with the exercise stuff and the sports stuff. Maybe a card of a favorite player. Does he like the outdoors at all( hiking, hunting, etc.), how about binoculars or a telescope. a good knife?
  6. I got my 7 yo magnetix this year. His older brother has some and the 7 yo loves them. Lego and Hot Wheels are always a hit. Mine also wants binoculars and loves things like the crystal growing stuff already mentioned. www.naturesworkshopplus.com has some good build it stuff and things like the crystal set.
  7. Glad you found somethings to get him. My dc love the fisher price Little People items. We have the Noah's Ark, 2 different trains, the play house, and something else. Almost all of them play with them from my 11 yo( playing with the littles) to the 2 year old. We got most of them as the younger ones turned 1 or 2.
  8. I sure hope the sewing/fabric thing is just a rumor. I buy most of mine there.
  9. I missed the $3.98 mixer and coffee pot but expected that since I got there around 6:15. I also missed the telescope at Wal-Greens but got a better one from Wally World for a little more. I ended up buying more than I had planned since I went to Target and Wegman's and had not planned to.
  10. I still am not even sure what I am going to buy. There are a few things still up in the air. The stores I know I want to go to are opposite directions from me, So I am not sure which to hit first. I am thinking Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Target, and K-Mart. HHmmm... decisions, decisions:)
