rbellville Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Both my 5 and 3 year olds want one. Mine disappeared when I was little...
laffnatu Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 All my youngest keeps asking for, for Christmas is the pooping baby. :lmao: :lmao: My neice is asking for this doll too.
Trish1298 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 My niece wants it, but my sister told her no way. If she wants to feed and change poopy diapers, she can take care of her sister. I might have to get it for her. That would make me the Favorite Aunt.
heavenlysshine Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Pretty gross, but to each his own, I guess!
blakes_mommy Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 That is one of the ugliest dolls I've ever seen! LOLMy 3 1/2 year old does not like it, either does my mother!!
hpowers Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I bought the Baby Alive for my youngest. I left it in the vehicle since she wasn't with me and it was out in the garage. Well, by mistake I asked my son to go pick the girls up and I forgot all about that doll being in the back. Well she found it so they are enjoying an early present!!! So I learned my lesson to hide things better in the future.
biomajor Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I think it's cute, but I bought my niece the Baby Annabelle last year for $9.98 when Target went 75% off the toys after christmas. It's the one that cries real tears, so she'll be happy with that. I spoil her I need to take this and a bunch of other stuff u for my sister to give her from Santa. I have another niece the same age that I don't spoil and so they are getting identical pixters from me for Christmas.
hardysofc5 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I believe that it will be HOT I subscribe to a yearly What toys will be hot this year and this is one of them. It is already selling for approx $20.00 then retail on Ebay.
jenna8110 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 The first time I saw this doll at Wal-mart I thought it was cute, till I squeezed it's hand or something and it started talking and blinking and I RAN! It was beyond CREEPY! Then I heard that it "messed" itself I was totally disgusted. Hopefully no one buys one for my daughter for X-Mas, cuz that thing is not coming into my house! P.S. - Sorry for the people that like it!!!
jls263 Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 I walked by one of those tonight at Wal-Mart and it said something to me. Creeped me out.LOL!!!!
ChrisKsAngel Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 From everything I have heard, this is the doll this year. I was born in the late 70s, so I don't remember this doll. So right now I am torn was to whether or not to get my daughter one. She has not seen the commerical or asked for one, so ww shall see closer to Christmas.
hpowers Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 My girls love this doll. I can say it's worth it. It has a switch to turn it off so when you get creeped out, you can shut it off.
jellybean051901 Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 I was at WM today and they were all sold out. They did have the food and diaper sets but that was all
JGaedtke Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 I am with you she kind of freaks me out too. I don't know...I have heard that they will be popular. I am giving in though and getting my little one the Amazing Amanda. She has asked for it two years in a row now and she doesn't ask for much so I figure I should. She has 3 things on her wishlist:Amanda, Hungary hippos, and a hide and seek care bear. I also plan to get her the FP camera but that will probably be about it besides the stocking. (that is me trying to justify the $100 for a doll)Our WalMart has the Amazing Amanda, and the other one, I can't remember her name, for 60.00 on an endcap, I just saw them the other day, so you might want to check yours. At least that would be a little savings for you.

momof5kiddos Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Trish1298 What kind of sadistic aunt are you to buy a doll for your niece that mom said no to because she has a real baby to feed and change. the last thing that mom needs is another thing to clean up after in her house. Just remember what comes around goes around. She is your kids aunt and wants to be the favorite to HAHA :)
Trish1298 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Oh I know. It's what we do. She has 6 kids and just had a new baby, she'll hate me, but her daughter will love me.
amez74 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 I'm with the crowd that thinks it's creepy, but my three year old gets excited every time she sees it. My ds (4 yrs old) keeps telling me that his sister wants it for Christmas. I'm not sure yet. I'm kindof wondering about what kindof "food" goes in its mouth. Amy

AmySince ours is already open... it's dried powder that you mix with water. I really don't think it's gross, it's not like it stinks or anything. I have found that regular newborn diapers work better than the special ones. I mostly let them just feed her water.
momof5kiddos Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Trish 1298 Ya but her mom will HATE you!!! I know she will, from experience :) Like what if she bought your kid a giant robot as big as you , how would you like that.
cheryle Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Sams Club has them but I don't know the price but I know it wasn't real high in price.
momof5kiddos Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 so does anyone know how easy this is to keep clean and how well they work. I would be mad to spend $50 and then it not work well
wyntyrose Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Saw these at Sam's today for 59.72 it was the doll and a chair and some outfits. My dd is only two so this is not a must have this year thank goodness.
hpowers Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 so does anyone know how easy this is to keep clean and how well they work. I would be mad to spend $50 and then it not work wellIt works fine. You spoon this baby food looking stuff in it's mouth and then it comes out the other end. I think it's just a tube that goes from the mouth to the hole in her butt. I just make sure they give her plenty of water afterwards. She's not annoying. Our biggest problem is they are always wanting to feed her and I won't let them do it but once a day so that we don't go through so many diapers. I would recommend regular diapers so that the water gets absorbed instead of running out of the pretend diapers.
Gloey Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 My WalMart still had these on Monday night when I was there. I think the replacement diapers are outrageous in price so a friend of mine whose mom works in a hospital is getting me some preemie ones. I did see some less expensive diapers for dolls at Meijers.

disneytati Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 But for really little girls, it would be too messy, right? I guess my daughter will only get one of those when she turns 6 or 7....
