Mp4
Yes, (there were two best buy employees in line ahead of me doing the same thing) and the ones handing out the tickets said it was okay to do. Later i saw someone get theirs taken away for doing it so im not exactly sure. My friends sold theirs for 40 and 50$ each.

Mp4
Selling . no they actually reserve a big item for you so its not just an all out rush, they hand them out before you get in the store.

chopsuey612
I was up front last year, and didnt want any of the ticketed items, but I was confused and got a ticket for a computer or something. Someone was asking 50 dollars for a ticket. I didnt feel like exploiting them so I gave it to them for free. I personally think its wrong to sell them. Just be generous and give it to someone who needs it.
Mp4
Personally I think that if you stand in line for 10 hours, you should be able to sell the ticket that you get for it.
chopsuey612
Well yea, 10 hours seems pretty extensive. What happened to me was a couple people just behind me didnt get them. If someone shows up who hasnt been there all night asks you to sell it, go for it. I guess I meant if people who were generally there around the same time you were. If someone was 10 people behind me and didnt get a ticket, I would just give it to em.
bigjimslade
Well yea, 10 hours seems pretty extensive.I dont think 10 hours is extensive. I was first in line and about an hour later 20 people showed up. I was there for 10 hours and they were there for 8 or 9.
he8765
No matter how good the deals are, I see no reason to get in line and wait for hours. Just my opinion.
leodragon
I had an experience with someone showing up to best buy on thankgiving afternoon and doing the same thing. There was a girl in front of me and my little brother who really wanted one and they were i will sell it to you for 250 dollars like way more than the thing cost to get. It was messed up and i was going to be first in line and set up like four tents and have all my friends show up right before they started handing them out and then go down to the end of the line and give them away so those idiots that tried to do that last year i am sure they are the same this year would not get the deals. psnarula
two years ago i got the ticket for the laptop at best buy and i sold it to the lady behind me in line for $200. she got a $100 discount off regular price and i got rid of the laptop without having to pay eBay fees... rgroves
That's Extortion. Plain and simple. Why charge someone $200 for a piece of paper??? If you were to say you didn't want the ticket and you said you'd sell it to me for $200, first I'd call you a [insert curse words here], then I'd yell for a BB employee, or call 911 and have you arrested for it.... If you get the ticket for the laptop, then you need to buy it, OR GIVE THE TICKET TO SOMEONE ELSE. Just because the person behind you showed up 1 hours AFTER you does not mean they should pay you for that ticket. I've passed up several things while waiting at CompUSA because I did not want them and someone else down the line might. I even talk to the people around me and we formulate a plan on who wants what and the people ahead of us in line will grab the tickets and then hand them back to us since we were friendly to them. Mp4
The piece of paper is worth the 300$ that you save with it. Just as a 100$ bill is not 100$ worth of material but that is it's value.
89MustangGX
Personally I think that if you stand in line for 10 hours, you should be able to sell the ticket that you get for it.Except that the only reason you stood in line for 10 hours was someone else was only willing to stand in line for 9 hours and you wanted to take their money. Falls into the same category as selling BF items if you ask me -- only reason you're doing it is to take advantage of other people. Adam

AdamI'm not sure what is the problem with doing either of these (selling tickets or selling BF items). This sounds like basic capitalism to me. The reason someone is doing it is to make money - just like a business.
rgroves
Taking advantage of people is not "business". It's just like taking your car in for a "warning light" and teh mechanic tells you you need new valves, piston rings, tires, shocks, head gasket, transmission, and air freshener (because you stink). When all you really needed was a quart of oil added. A $19 oil change would be the best way to handle it, but instead you get duped in to spending $5000 on nothing. That is why you should give up the ticket and not sell it. Because if you don't get rid of that piece of paper, it'll be Worthless later in the day because they will sell the item anyway for hte advertised price. The ticket is a RESERVATION, you miss your reservation at a restaraunt and you loose your table. Now if you want to actually buy the item and sell it on ebay, then that's another story. As long as you don't start the bidding way above what you paid BEFORE the rebates. I saw harddrives from CompUSA one year that were $150 before rebate and $89 after, starting on eBay for $175 and people were payign as much as $250 + shipping for them. That is just ignorant people that don't do any research.
BabyFu18
I can't imagine that people really will sell a free ticket, that's taking advantage of people (and the people who are willing to buy the ticket are just as bad). That's going to come back to hurt you, taking advantage of people by selling a ticket you didn't even want/need, you could have just given it to them and done a good deed. wnielsen1
Actually, I agree with most of this. If you take a ticket because you are going to use the item, give it as a gift, or even sell it on eBay, that is one thing. However, don't take tickets just to take them. I wouldn't even think of grabbing tickets and then walk around trying to shill them. However, if someone approached me and said "I'll give you $150 for this laptop ticket," and I was going to put the laptop on eBay and make $175, then I would just sell the ticket.
