elena_398 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I've been doing Black Friday by myself (yes in all those years no one would go out with me) since my son was born. So almost 12 years now
stationchief Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Been watching and hearing about it ever since I knew wife's family, who takes part in the aftermath shopping every year. They've hardly ever braved the line waiting and the initial onset of the madness. However, this marks my third year of BF shopping and my second year of BF lines. Think the men of the family are gonna join me this time.
sigrist_2000 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 over 20 years..i started when i was a kid..prolly even started when i was still in a baby carrier (minus the shopping of course lol)
lauralee Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 As long as I can recall Black Friday sales. I have just developed more refined strategies through the years!!!!
reportermomof3 Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I've been going for at least 10 years, maybe more. Kinda lost track.
BabyFu18 Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I think I've been BF shopping for about 6 years now, going every year.
mamapenguin Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 This will be my 10th year. Some times my daughter's birthday falls on BF. Not this year though, but we'll still enjoy shopping together.:)
ms_mckenna Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 As long as I can remember. Went with my mom before she died for a few years so I would say at least 15+ years.
aznsniper911 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Haha, this is my second year, last year i got the sony dvd burner, still great, silent and kicking in.
CrayZMama80 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I was going to say only 10 yrs for me..but then I started thinking, heck I did this before we bought this house. So it's been over 14 yrs. Oh man, we need to start a bf anonymous group here!
carheel Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 this will be my 4th year. i even got everything i went for.:)
phrogxix Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 As long as I can remember... Back when they used to give outright free stuff at the door. Like tins of cookies, etc. Toys R Us one year handed out free cini-mini coupons for Burger King. Mmmm.
firtbird Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 At least 14 - 15 years.......but who's counting.
lar0713 Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 OMG!!! I can't remember what year I started doing this I do know I didn't have any children and my daughter just turned 18. Can't wait for the ads this year to start my list even though I am almost done shopping for everyone except the 3 of us!!!
rsan33 Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 This will be my 2nd year. I would consider myself a noobie.
pmward725 Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 This will be my second year.... I braved SWalmart last year ALONE for my first BF experience. Lucky for me, I'm used to our WM being that packed, since it's the only in our county, so EVERYONE goes there.....
caramel Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Since I was 15 so about ten years! With my mom of course.
dmmiller Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 4 years for me... I always worked retail the years before that, and hated BF. Now I'm on the other side, and LOVE It. :)
BFShopper6226 Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 As a child, I used to go every year with my mom. Once I was an adult, I didn't go to often (school, friends, other such things). I started up again about 6 years ago.. Prior to that, I was on the other side of the counter (working retail). The first couple of years, I went out myself. Then in 2003, I finally talked my wife into going. She had never gone out. Now, it's a family affair. (me, wife and son). It works out real well. We stalk out the ads the day before and figure out what each person is going to get. We hit the store just like we are storming a beach, FRS radios in hand, each of us going in 3 directions and getting what we ordered. We meet in the front at the registers and then go to the next stop.
arrowpolisher Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I think over 15 years, but can't really remember when I started. I know I went to the one in Louisianna 15 years ago, but it was prob. really before that
