  1. I have severe right knee problems caused from total menisectomy when I was 17, (there is no cushion between the bones on my knee), and an ACL that has been torn for 32 years. Although I will need a total knee replacement sometime this year (trying to wait until I am at least 50 years old), I have staved it off for several years by taking glucosamine. It works for me!!
  2. Picked up two of those at my store (also in AZ) last Saturday. Also had Walgreen's brand men's and women's daily vitamins BOGO.
  3. I second the idea about Craigslist being a great place to pick up used buidling and landscaping materials. We are building an apartment for my mom onto our house and have found many deals on Craigslist.
  4. My Walmart is a 24 hour one, and the clerk said that at midnite, Sunday the 6th, they would bring out the ones for sale. Edited to say that would be Saturday nite/early Sunday morning.
  5. While in my local Walmart in the electronics department, I asked an associate when they might be expecting any Wiis in stock. She said that they were in Sunday's circular, but our store probably wouldn't have more than one or two. I haven't actually seen the new circular, it should be arriving in my mailbox in the next day or two.
  6. I just got back from Walgreens, and here is my deal. I got 1 package of the (2) lighted reindeer and 2 packages of the lighted trees, all three were regularly $19.99 reduced to $9.99 each and a small candy for 59 cents. So $30.56 minus $10 (off $30) makes $20.56. All three of these have a $5 MIR, which is in the envelope going out early a.m. along with the $40 in camera rebates. Total will then $5.56. With $55.00 in MIR add in 10% bonus for making it a Walgreen's gift card, total on gift card will be $60.50 (15.00 rebate adds $1.50). So with the added 10%, total out of pocket is $4.06 for 3 nice lighted yard decorations that I have been wanting to buy for awhile, but not at $19.99 apiece.
  7. I just tried ordering 4 certificates, and when I applied the discount code it said "error on page". Did I do something wrong?
  8. Got a lot of stuff online yesterday and during the wee hours today from BB, Kmart, Wal-mart and Staples --Most of what I wanted from Walmart I got online, the exception being the shop vac my sister wanted me to pick up for her SO. The short version is: 0530-JC Pennys for socks and snow globe. 0600-Radio Shack for battery charger, starwars flashlight, and 4gb sd 0630-Walgreens for keychain, tide, camera, I home speaker dock, Hannah Montana doll, and chocolate candy. 0710-Walmart for shop vac-only one left- and spinners. 0800-Big lots for sisters crock pot 0830-home!! No lines except at JC penney, the parking lot was full!! I had just found the Hannah Montana dolls at Walgreens when three ladies came in and took all of them but the two I had in my hands, trying to decide which one to get. We were also able to check out with BF prices before 0700 at Walgreens, it is a 24 hour one. DH got the digital picture frame from Ace on his way to work.
  9. Thanks, Brad, this list helps me plan my day a little better. I also appreciate your hard work and your dedication to this site. :)
  10. I put two in my shopping cart then immediately tried to check out. The site was so slow, it took almost ten minutes to get to checkout after several pages not available. When I got to checkout, MY CART WAS EMPTY!!!![/b How could that happen? When I tried to put them in my cart again, I got a message that said they were sold out!!! Grrrr, I am seeing a little red right now.
  11. Thanks, I just got DH Battlestar Gallactica 2.5 as I haven't been able to find it anywhere here!! The code worked for me!
  12. I ordered the 1gb sd cards (2), and 2 flash drives. I just recieved my flash drives yesterday, but the cards came within the week after I ordered them. I am happy with them, and would order from them again.
  13. Kinda funny that Walmart had Care Bears with a DVD as one of last years BF items!!!
  14. My small grandchildren all wear those, in fact I got some at Alco yesterday (Carters, 2 for $8.00), but I haven't seen any big kids sizes ever. Thanks for the info!!!
  15. I spent $400 and change at: Alco, Ace Hardware, Walmart, and Big Lots being the only B&M stores here, along with $35 at K-Mart on T-Day. Online, I spent aroung $50 at Office Max.
  16. WM is the biggest retailer in this small town, and is 27 miles from me. Down the street about a mile from WM is a Sears appliance outlet, JC Penney's, Radio Shack and Big Lots. Walgreens is right across the street, and K-mart is across town. That's about it for this town, the next closest for Target and mall stores is a two hour drive, and the closest BB, CC, and other stores is a three hour drive.
  17. I just smile a real big teeth-showing smile, and wave real big. I might even shout " Hi, ya'll!!" When I am walking out with my new laptop, I might even show it to em. That is, after I get through talking to my DH on the Walkie-Talkie as he is trying to find me. I have been known to be real generous and say to 'em, "ya'll have a nice day, now!"
  18. I know the $398 computers are at my store now, they were out, but my daughter who works there saw the electronics manager putting them under lock and key yesterday, he told her that they won't bring them out until the sale starts now.

    keeping warm...

Ear warmers with hats over, hand warmers with big gloves, layered shirts, layered pants, layered socks, foot warmers, and fur-lined boot houseshoes. Last year since we lined up at WM at 10:00 pm, we brought the camper for potty breaks and hot coffee or cocoa. We sat in camper chairs with sleeping bags layered around us, and one of us put everything in the camper about 15 minutes before the doors opened. With all the sock layers, I had to wear Dh's fur lined houseshoes, and had to run all the way to the electronics department in them. I was second in line, got ticket number 6, so they only slowed me down slightly.
  20. I know that last year me and DH divided and definitely conquered. We took walkie talkies with us, and went to different parts of the store gathering our stuff while talking to each other. It was definitely more efficient, and allowed us to circumvent the crowds somewhat. Many people commented that they wish they would have thought of walkie talkies!!
  21. i also used the lists last year, and it was a great timesaver!! Thank you!!!!!
  22. The favorite moment was running through Walmart to the electronics department and being handed the number 6 for my laptop. The whole experience was the best BF I've ever had. DH was totally involved through the whole thing, and we got everything on our list!!! The payback was not being able to sleep all day while watching the grandkids after I got home.
  23. As long as I can recall Black Friday sales. I have just developed more refined strategies through the years!!!!
