sky_scraper123 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 If WM does not have door busters on BF
VonnegutFan Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I vehemently oppose any form of "door-busting" sales so I would support Wal-Mart's decision.
Aaron Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Discussion of Doorbusters/Blitz items is going on in the following thread: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=48710
skettii Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I would still shop there if they are price matching so I can get all the deals without going to all the differenct stores.
misshayley Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I will still shop there because it's the only store within an hour of my house, and they will price match the other ads.
amez74 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 It really depends on what else they have for sale--I usually get some door buster items, but I just avoid the hot hot items that people fight over. I would rather pay more or go without then have to fight for something like some people do.
ssf Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I will only stop at Wal-Mart if they have something I really want at a great price...
conj Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 depends on what they have. My little walmart was totally unprepared last year, who puts 15 year olds in charge of handing our GBA? The adults ran right over him!
laffnatu Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 If they don't have doorbusters, I'll be somewhere that does have them.
Rebirth Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I don't go to Walmart. Where's the option for that? lol.
nansboys Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I will only shop Wal-Mart on BF,they always price match. why drive all over town and waste gas.
Kandy Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 if they dont have the doorbuster I will not go..I will hit up other stores and the px 1st and formost
bayhaysay Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 The doorbusters are one of the main reasons I go out on BF. If Walmart doesn't have them then I'll go take advantage of some of the other doorbusters at other stores. I really can't see walmart doing away with them though.
Tracy72 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 yep....that is the only store in the town we go to ......we might just hit another town this yr..who knows...that hr drive in the morning seems like it takes for ever to get there..lol
love2beurwifey Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 I will still shop there if they do price matching because it will save me the trip of having to go into other stores. I did that last year and didnt have to go in 4 other stores
elena_398 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 I won't go there if they won't price match. They cancelled everything else so I won't be surprised if they cancel that. Makes you wonder what Walmart is thinking!
H_Hancock Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 You forgot the option for "I wouldn't set foot in Wal-Mart on BF even if they paid me to do so......." After seeing, over the years, the complete lack of crowd control in so many of their stores and instead having something resembling a rugby scrum for the doorbuster items, I'd much rather spend my time at a store that uses some sort of control and ticket system, such as any of the CC and BB stores I've ever been to.
tootsieroll23 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Poop I voted wrong. I thought it said " I will not shop at Walmart on BF doorbutsters or not." Too many other places I would rather be shopping.
Morgsmom Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 All 5ft tall of me was almost trampled last BF at Wal-Mart with folks trying to get laptops... the most horrible act of humanity I'd ever seen (and it made CNN!!!)
mistral Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I just plainly wont go to WM on black Friday. Last yr there was a person shooting a weapon in the sporting goods section. That was my first and last time going. The store Roseville, Mich Linda
Edgemonster Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I only go into Walmart on BF if there is something that I really need. I didn't shop there at all last year.
artesian Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 The DB's are the only thing that could get me to go there on BF. So without them no thanks
kristablu28 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I did one BF at Walmart two years ago. Seven patrol cars, four of which were canine units and lines that wrapped around almost a 1/4 mile of shopping center parking lot convinced me NEVER AGAIN! Even with the cops there, people were pushing, fighting and shoving just for some stupid cheap brand TV. This past year it was worse from what my neighbor told me. Everyone wanted the $400 lap top computer and were out for blood to get it. As much as Black Friday is a part of my holiday experience, I think I'll go to a more subdued store while everyone else is fighting for their Walmart stuff.
oldandintheway Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I don't shop at Wal-Mart, so it doesn't make any difference to me either way. But I do know quite a few people that will be upset if they don't do the doorbuster deals.

peachysquirt21 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I dont buy much of the doorbusters. To me most of what they have like electronics/appliances are not worth buying. I always look for DVDs on sale. That's about it. Cept for last year I nearly got mauled over the Cabbage Patch newborns. I hope this year they dont have some special Cabbage Patch cause I have enough of last year. LOL
Turtle Mommy Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Nope. That would open up the door for ToysRUs for me and that is where I would head first.
darkkan Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 There are going to be a lot of dissapointed people if they don't get to trample someone on their way in to get a $5 Care Bear;) Seriously, I usually go later in the day because I hit the mall first. I went one year and was miserable, plus didn't get what I came for.
