So we are under 2 weeks away from Christmas. Eek.

Both my grown kids who live at or close to home took off work the week after Christmas, and my husband and I are off, so I'm excited to have us all 4 together. :)

Our district goes through Wednesday the 21st this year. They did that last year, and I decided then I would take off that partial week this year.

So I'm singing along, "One more week of work for 2022..."

One more week of work for 2022... sing along everyone...

Our last day is the 21st as well, if we make it till then. We had 100 kids out sick today and the sickness is spreading like wildfire.

Oh yikes! Hope everyone stays well and gets better!

Just watching a news report about soaring sickness and Covid numbers on the rise again.  Ugh

Same - our break starts the 21st, and I'm starting the 19th. We're back the 4th and I'll go back then, since it's quieter.

In the 50's tomorrow and Friday with 2-3 inches of rain, then dropping down into the 20's Friday, Saturday and Sunday with snow coming in at the end on Friday and flash freezing.

I hate the cold  :yuck:

On the bright side, I took off tomorrow and Friday so I won't have to be out in it

I don’t know how you Northerners and Midwesterners do it!  These single digit temperatures and minus zero windchills are for the birds.  This southern gal is not equipped for this.

in all seriousness I hope everyone stays safe and warm while Elliott carves it path eastward.

Am I the only one who totally misses the old Black Friday. I am watching Christmas Wars and seeing all the crazy and I am reminded of the the excitement involved and the adrenaline… it made me nostalgic for the good days.
