Elmck Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 On the thread about how big is your BF budget, I started wondering how many people that budget covers. My budget has to cover at least 26 people most of those I spend $50.00 apiece some a little more. I wish I could spend more per person especially the grandchildren. Oh if you are wondering about the Nintendo 2DS my parents are splitting the cost so the kids will be surprised to get them.
tn20 Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Our budget for Christmas this year is probably $1300. It has to cover my 4 boys (16,12,4,2), hubby and myself (we will probably only spend $25 each on a couple of little stocking stuffers), our parents, siblings, grandparents, nieces and nephews, a few of our aunts and uncles... Thankfully, the gifts we exchange with the adults are typically small and homemade (I usually spend $200 on baking supplies and it covers most of the extended family). So, about $1100 for 15 people (9 of them are children). 2
Bopeep Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 I have 34 on my list. That includes Secret Santa and Ornament Exchange here on GD, Dirty Santa with the family, employees, and grandkids' teachers. Without the extras, I have 21 family members. And of those, 7 are musts (kids and grandkids) 1
jesusluvu Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 I have to cover about 25. I have a little extra set aside for my DW and DD but they are included in the 25 as well
budgetsRsexy Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 This year is Christmas with my husband’s family so we will have 19 people (including something for each other) and 5 pets. Then I also have 3 coworkers and 4 bosses and the GD secret Santa. I’m hoping to keep our gift budget to $650. I’m hoping to keep all the holiday expenses (including travel, dog kenneling, hostess gifts and dishes to pass) to $1200. 1
jstluvem Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 This year I'm struggling to get in the mood After 33 years at his job my husband had to take two 25%pay cuts to keep his job and benefits. So my budget is gonna stretch really thin. We have 8 married children and 24 beautiful grandchildren so I'm planning on family gifts. I've got the 4 with really young children covered with FOTZ memberships . It's the other 4 who have teenagers and college age grandchildren I'm struggling with. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated They range from sports active to home bodies.... ugh 1
tgfathergoose Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Having to watch money this year. Had unexpected bills, and I'm looking at retirement in a few years, so need to make sure I'm ready for that. 1

Tara3117 Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 I count 32, which excludes any charity or Yankee Swap exchanges and technically counts my kids' teachers as one, even though there are like 10 of them between all the aides etc in both classrooms.
MariahA Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 16 people of my husband's family draws names from the siblings again. Budget is around $400-$500. I've been buying all year and don't keep super close track of how much I've spent aside from making sure it's not crazy so maybe a smidge more.
HanShotFirst Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 I buy for 8-12 people and that includes Senior Tree/Angel Tree and Secret Santa. I typically only budget for the big 3 that I have to buy for, and that’s $50-$60. I don’t budget for the Senior Tree/Angel Tree and Secret Santa because I would never stick to it. Lol 1
momlori Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 I typically do 14 stockings and at least that many people with a few more thrown in as I see fit. Budget is around 40-50 each
