Happy September, everyone! Brad, sent you a PM...

So I'm on the east coast, so it's already September 2nd, here, which means I now have TWO teenage sons, as my youngest son is now 13. My other son is 14, and my daughter is 9. Got my first legit Christmas gift for one of them the other day, a new Kindle Fire with using American Express rewards that made it $20 when you used at least 1 reward point. I only had $1.19 in points, so it made it $20 even...so an awesome gift, likely for my daughter, nice and cheap!

So how long til the first ad comes out? Not that I need anything from Harbor Freight anyway, LOL...have a great month, everyone!

Happy September! Labor Day weekend sales have been amazing for me, and it make me even more excited for the next few months!

Can I just add that I simply HATE Sears/ kenmore? Built a new home and moved in less than 2 years ago. I purchased all Kenmore elected appliances ...over 15k of appliances. My fridge died 3weeks ago, and after everything.....no warranty coverage due to no local sears repair techs in my area due to the down fall and closing of sears store in my area. Now I have to replace all of my kitchen appliances so they will match.......because I refuse to buy another kenmore or lg.

First day of my birthday month. Woke up this morning to all the emails with "It's your birthday month" points and specials. Yay.

I love those emails! My birthday is in December so double love them!

Good to know! I've been looking for a new washer. We bought a Maytag just over a year ago. We started having problems with it shortly after we bought it (several different things). All customer service would tell us was to schedule a service appointment. The tech could never find anything wrong with it. Asked for a refund and they told me they couldn't do that. Trouble, trouble, trouble. After a while they stopped responding to my complaints so I went to the BBB. Funny how those 3 little letters can make a company respond! Got a phone call right away offering me a refund on the washer. They told me 2-3 weeks...it' been 2 1/2 weeks now and I'm still waiting. I've been doing research on different brands of washers. Looking at the reviews, they all have mostly good reviews along with scattered bad reviews. We've had Maytag washers in the past and never had any trouble till this one. The thing is, there aren't any manufacturers now that make things to last and their customer service isn't what it should be. All the companies now just want to make the sale and be done with it.

Does anyone have a washer that they just love and would recommend? I prefer a top load.

I recommend buying appliances from Lowe's and buy the warranty they offer, they live up to it and now their policy is if you dont use the warranty after it expires you can request a partial refund of its cost.

Last Year our brand new 3 month old fridge stopped working they sent out a tech 3 times, yes each time they fixed it and it would break again.. they even sent us a check for the food we lost each time. Before you ask, it was anything that was wrong, Hurricane Irma had went thru that week, once we regained power a week later, the fridge worked and then all of a sudden stuff in the fridge section would freeze and stuff in the freezer would defrost.... talk about a mess.

September finds me returning from Ebeemee Township -- a locale which is envious of the Middle of Nowhere.  I was collecting data to build an antenna to pull in their NBC affiliate which happens to be on real channel 2.  Such an antenna would be 5m long to work best.  I'm going to build one out of twin lead antenna wire...

Before I left, I was on the verge of pulling the trigger on a kitchen of appliances.  Likely going to close the deal later tonight.  These appliances are the last thing on my BF2018 shopping list.

September:  Football! My Birthday! My son's birthday! 2 grandson's birthdays! And the start of the BER months which usher in more Black Friday discussion and my most favorite time of the year!

I’m so glad September is here!! Only a couple more 90 degree days and then the temps start to nosedive! Already had my first iced Pumpkin Spice Latte and ready to put the air conditioner into hibernation! The leaves are starting to change on this one big tree in town; they turn an amazing yellow/gold before they all fall off. The fuzzy worms are on the move big time. Yay fall!! :)

Grandson got to turn around in his carseat this weekend! He was excited. He reached the max rear facing weight for his seat, at 3 years 7 months. He and I discussed last weekend that he would be turning around soon, and he said he didn't want to, but he probably didn't even know facing front was an option. I'm just glad to not have to hear all the great grandparents complain about it anymore. ( now they will probably complain how his head flops when he sleeps or something...)

Happy September! My favorite orchard opened for the season on Saturday and I went straight out there for apples and fresh orchard doughnuts. I hit at just the right time, as the ones I got were STILL WARM! YUMMMMMM!!! Well worth saving my "cheat" for.

Update on my weight loss progress - I am down SIX pant sizes since I started in mid-January and I am halfway to what my doctor and I have agreed should be my goal weight. Feeling great and finding the longer I'm doing this, the easier it's getting (it's becoming routine) and the more ways I'm finding to make different things and truly enjoy my food even more than I did when I was eating all the junk I thought I loved. I'll post up a side by side set of pictures when I get a chance a little later. For now, off to a "Monday" morning meeting. :)

We actually loved our Maytag we bought when we built 3 years ago. We were going to go with Samsung but the one we liked (was their high end) the lady at Home Depot told us that we didn't want it they had a lot of issues with Samsung washers coming back and people complaining about them shredding clothes while washing. The Maytag set we ended up getting she said had no real issues (every appliance can have issues now and then) so we bought that set. Wife loved the steam fresh setting on the dryer. Would toss wrinkled clothes in there and a little bit later no wrinkles and no ironing (which we both avoid like the plague).

do NOT get a Samsung!!  They need to stick with what they know--TVs!!  However, we do have a Samsung fridge, and we really like that. But we made the mistake of switching the rest of our appliances to Samsungs as they wore out...BIG mistake. The washer didn't even make it 3 years, and that's with it being fixed while under warranty, then a friend fixed it and showed us how to do it, and then we'd have to do it nearly once a month, and we finally got rid of it. Then the dryer went shortly thereafter. Our previous dryer had outlasted like 3 washing machines, and the Samsung dryer barely outlived the washer. So we have an LG set now, top loader, as was the Samsung, and I hesitate to say I love them, out of fear that I may jinx myself. But we've had the washer for 2 years and the dryer for nearly a year, and they're both going strong, with no issues. Now our Samsung dishwasher, which we've had for probably 4 years, is on its way out...NEVER AGAIN!!

OK, exclusively for you club members (and anyone else who reads this thread :P), here's this year's BF shirt design. If you've been following this thread the design of this shirt won't be much of a surprise.

Front:

Back:

Many of you wanted to bring back the classic tagline on the back, so we did that along with a simple "15 years" design on the front.

Also, exclusively for club members, you'll also receive a pair of these matching zipper pouches:

Use them to store money, cards, tech accessories - whatever you can think of. You'll each get two of these and they won't be available anywhere else.

I'll open up orders if you want additional shirts on Monday.
