Kanyon71 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Awesome news. I'm sure Amazon will have some good deals on things we want and need so I will be taking advantage of this for things I will need right then vs waiting for prime shipments (yes 2 days is too long lol)
jamieva Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 I still would buy it from amazon and avoid the hassle of having to get them to price match 4
freesia39 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 I do it at Best Buy all the time if it's something I don't want to wait for, and it's relatively painless there. Staples too. Just takes a little time.
Deal Grabber Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Id prefer to buy B&M incase i need to return it.This is awesome.
Deal Grabber Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 So it makes me wonder if WM will PM other stores doorbusters. As other stores doorbusters are often online.Hmmmm. This could get interesting
Jenn_A Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 I am wondering if that will work for the Galaxy S5 too? It is free at best buy w/a 2 year but $99 at wal mart.Jenn
bribri25 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Will this apply even if it's sold out on Amazon (or other online retailers for that matter)? I'm just thinking about Lightning Deals that sell out so quickly. Everyone could see that item about to go on sale, head to WM and buy it on Tuesday for that price (it Amazon matched that) before the BF sale even hits the stores.
jamieva Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Im sure there will be a million exceptions to the policy for WM 2
sdn40 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Don't be surprised if on all the big ticket items, or even most items in general, Walmart will use the "its not the same product due to the part number" excuse. Best Buy does that. If you add an "a" at the end of the part # its no longer the same item, even though it is.
Kanyon71 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Yes I do the same thing at BestBuy all the time. I go in knowing what I want with the same sku already looked up and they match it.
Jenn_A Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Im sure there will be a million exceptions to the policy for WMI agree!Jenn
bribri25 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Even if they do for the big ticket items, I'm thinking more for the mid-level items that will need scrapping all around the store for in a mad rush.
bbyboo1323 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Actually its not too bad..Theres numerous ones they can price match to. I went last night and the managers at my store had no clue and had to go check since they had not been told. I did have a copy of the policy which helped Targetwalmart.com bestbuylowesstaplesamazonpetcodicksTRUkmartoffice depotacademysports authoritybass prohome depotcabelasauto zonepetsmartwalgreensdollar generalbed bath beyondbabies r usjc pennykohlstiger directnew eggfamily dollarmichaelso riellypep boys
Spotted1 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Oh now this could be useful. Normally our walmart will not price match places like Target because the nearest one is in the next state over. lol If they let us price match to the website's price, though, that opens up a lot of possibilities.

I get the feeling, since WM never applies a policy equally across all stores, is it'll be a huge YMMV. The problem is it depends on how they will verify. Usually when I PM at Best Buy or Staples, they will look on the website and check the price. If you cannot currently purchase it at that price, they will not PM. Also most stores won't PM if it's not in stock. But if you show up to WM with a print out of the website, would they even bother taking the time to check? That's the question. 1
pattycal1 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Will stores price match if you order online? Will Walmart- Toys R Us? etc.?

motoXmom Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I heard this on our news and squealed with delight! lol Hey I'm gettin older, it doesn't take much anymore 1
delphernina Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I still would buy it from amazon and avoid the hassle of having to get them to price match Yep - and sales tax. Id prefer to buy B&M incase i need to return it.This is awesome. Hmmm... hadn't thought of that. The few times I've had to return items to Amazon the customer service made it so simple it wasn't a problem. But waiting for the return item to come back was sort of a bummer.
ObiRich Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Went there today and had them pricematch something from Cabella's. No problem except it was over $20 difference so had to wait for a CSM to come and approve it. 2
Nurse4cure Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Be sure to use your Walmart savings catcher, hopefully if u miss seeing a lower price the catcher will find it! 1
ObiRich Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Be sure to use your Walmart savings catcher, hopefully if u miss seeing a lower price the catcher will find it! You need to read the fine print on the Savings Catcher. They check "ads" so I doubt they are going to include online prices. But it doesn't hurt to try.
smtowngrl Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 I bought a Lego set at Walmart yesterday-shelf price was 49.99 so i showed the Walmart.com price which was 34.99 and they honored that, no problem. 1
redspider61 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 it has to be for the exact same product.. ,size and all and it has to be in stock at the online site..20.00 difference a csm has to verify and at 50.00 a manager will have to verify it..we have handhelds that have links to all those sites and we're suppose to check for instock..basically all they've told us about it

DiamondGal Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I am thinking that Walmart will price match Amazon without even checking to see if it is in stock on Amazon. As long as it is the same product, size, etc. I prefer to order from Amazon if it is the same price because I don't want to lug packages around in the cold and I like getting the boxes delivered to my doorstep.
Brad Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 http://news.walmart.com/news-archive/2014/11/19/online-price-match-statement Update from Walmart. Changes due to fraud.
Kanyon71 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Some people have to try and ruin it for everyone
Deal Grabber Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 I wonder what happened? They will honor their own site and 30 others. I wonder who it is they are refering to that they wont honor.Any ideas?
