hope1976 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Has anyone used winkflash.com??? I ordered our 4x8 photo cards from them on 12/1 and recieved them today. They did state that they were about 4 days behind with the holidays (understandable). I got them today. So, 9 days from ordering, I didn't think was too bad - especially for the price. I got 30 of them for just under $12.00. I had heard that their photos were very dark compared to what you see on the computer, but mine were about the same. I think depending on what you have your settings at, it could be true. So anyway, I know this is pushing it, but I ordered 32 wallets of each of our 3 children (96 wallets in total) for $11.54. All these prices INCLUDE shipping I have to say, I'm definitely impressed! Now, the wallets will get here just before Christmas, but JUST in time for me to send out I just didn't want to order all the prints if I wasn't going to be happy, so I waited until I got the photo cards.
ebony0421 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I've never heard of them, but those prices sound pretty decent to me.
hope1976 Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 I've never heard of them, but those prices sound pretty decent to me.I think they're a new company? I'm not sure - but when you order prints, it's always the same price no matter how many you order (they're pretty cheap), and then shipping for photos is a flat rate of 99 cents per order. That is something that definitely hasn't been beat!
jedigirl21 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I think the online board has a post about 50 free prints from Winkflash w/a code. Lots of people I know use them and are very happy. I just stick w/Sams...
bizzyangel Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 This is actually my first post. I ordered approx 585 pictures from them for my first order and I got really lucky. The first 500 were 06 cents and the rest were like 12 cents so my order came to $40.20 then $41.19 with the shipping. I am pretty satisfied with my order and some pictures were a bit cropped but most of them were pretty ok. The didn't come out dark or anything. Jon'el
VonnegutFan Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 I love Winkflash. I have relied on them to develop my graduation pictures, my sister's wedding pictures, and now my new niece. I've been a Winkflash customer for a long time and I have never been let down!
cinnamon16201 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Hopefully they have improved in the past year. About a year ago I did a cross study with 6 different online photo developers: Snapfish, Shutterfly, Clark, York, Ofoto and Winkflash. I send each of them the exact same 10 photo files. Ofoto -- Best quality, but also the most expensive Snapfish -- Almost as good, best price for quality (I use them exclusively now) Shutterfly -- Quality same as Snapfish, higher price Clark -- OK quality York -- OK quality (I swear they and Clark are the same company!!) Winkflash -- Horrible quality! I had a picture of a cake with white icing and it came back as green! In fact, every picture had a green cast to it, including people's faces. I contacted their customer service to get reprinting done (or to refund my money) and never got so much as one word back from them. Like I said, maybe they have improved over the past year, but not only did I find unacceptable quality, but totally unacceptable customer service from them as well.
HeXeD Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I just received my 50 free prints from winkflash paid only 99cents for shipping and when i saw the postage they paid for the pics i was surprized to see $2.21 Pics are at par with costco and walgreen overall im happy with them
civicracinggirl7 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I took advantage of the 50 free prints coupon that was posted up on GD. My prints came in near the end of last week, and they came out great. I was very pleased with them. I imagine if there is a print or more that don't come out as they should, you could contact them about it. I would imagine they would do something about it.
shanni Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I've used Winkflash before and the quality is okay, but I didn't find it to be as good as pics from snapfish or dotphoto.
hope1976 Posted December 14, 2005 Author Posted December 14, 2005 Just got my confirmation from winkflash that my wallets have been shipped so they'll be here in a couple days

trob67 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 I use winkflash when I dont want to pay a lot for photo's, their quality is good....But I found a new place that has awesome quality but the price is much higher.I am also expecting photos from winkflash soon! I just got mine back and I would say they may be a little darker than on my monitor but overall good. I did however order some from Snapfish that I am waiting to compare.
all4linkae Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I love winkflash! Ive been using them for over a year now! Im happy with thier service, quality and shipping! Ive never found them to have crappy quality at all! Plus, with $.99 shipping! Can't beat that!
bovichtj Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 My order came yesterday... the pictures wee a hint dark, but I thought they were acceptable (especially for free :) . I also liked that you can add text to the back of the prints... not much, but my kids' names plus the image name. I also ordered mousepads... they were $6.95, plus $3 shipping for 3 pads. They came out great! The colors were very crisp and bright; I am very satisfied. They said shipping would be delayed, but I thought they came quite quickly!
hope1976 Posted December 16, 2005 Author Posted December 16, 2005 I should be getting my portraits tomorrow in the mail and I was worried I wouldn't have them here before Christmas, but took that risk myself. They were shipped Tuesday evening (so, Wednesday). I'm expecting them either Saturday or Monday and then I can send out my cards too
