Guest general41391 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I heard a rumor that BEST BUY plans to have another big sale (bigger than BLACK FRIDAY) the week of December 4, 2005 or December 11, 2005... Anyone else hear about this?
Gporter34 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Damn, my BBBs expire on the 5th. There's the "catch". LOL

saturnboy01 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 wow..thats a bummer, maybe they did that on purpose
mjmcca Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 wow..thats a bummer, maybe they did that on purposeI think that was part of the point.

pcsoon Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I heard a rumor that BEST BUY plans to have another big sale (bigger than BLACK FRIDAY) the week of December 6, 2005... Anyone else hear about this? Black Tuesday?? That is a wierd day to start a sale. :)
Guest lolwtfbbq Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 id wait in line again for another of those 150 dollar emachines... they are going for 400+ on ebay, and other sites.
ebony0421 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Damn, my BBBs expire on the 5th. Can you go ahead and purchase something before they expire and return it to the store later? If so, they'll probably give you a gift card and then you can use it for "the big sale".
scarface Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 where was this rumor reported at? A news site, forum, bb employee? Oh and also im seeing on the main news sites (cnn, etc) that BF didn't go that well, was down 1percent from last year and this year their were bigger discounts. So maybe retailers are going to be doing big sales b4 xmas to boost this.
venerdinero Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I would make the educated guess that the sale will actually be for the week of Dec. 4th - next Sunday - as it is the day after the BBB expire.
scrappynik Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Anyone have the inside scoop on what exactly will be on sale?? I'm looking for good sales on video games, DVD's and CD's.
Bestbuy7 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 " I think" BB will have a big sale after christmas.
Guest general41391 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Mistake...I edited my orginial post. read it now
forcedtoregister Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I don't have any BBB so I can't see the terms, but if somebody bought an item with BBB before they expire and then return that item after they expire (let's say the 4th when the big sale is ) would they get an in-store gift card to use?

You really didnt think you were going to cash back did you?
KhakiBoy Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Actually, I think when you use BBB they deduct the amount of BBB from the item itself. So if you use $15 in BBB on a $20 item, the item price on the receipt shows $5. If you return the item you would get the reduced price, $5, back.
~Hannah~ Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I was told at Best Buy that if I return an item bought with BBB then I would get nothing back, because they treat them as coupons. I would only get credit for any cash I used over and above the amount of BBB. They told me I could not even return defective items that very day for an exchange or credit or anything other than the little bit of money I spent with the BBB's. I used all of mine on BF. Hannah
venerdinero Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Hannah is correct. BBB have zero value on returns. We linked and printed the full BBB Terms and Conditions in one or two other threads before BF. Sorry. Here is one of them. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=20426
aztater Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Let's get back on topic, for this sale info :)
forcedtoregister Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 You really didnt think you were going to cash back did you? LOL, no, but I thought they would apply it to a gift card thereby recycling the BBB into a GC without an expire date. But... according to the terms -- thanks for the link -- that wouldn't work. And, according to their return terms, you have to have a receipt to get a refund (my next thought was to buy Geek Squad branded items with BBB and return them without a receipt for in-store credit). Sorry... back on topic.
