Brad Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 CompUSA Ad Scans have been released :) Items will be added to the database on the BF site shortly for you to add to your shopping list. I'm typing them up and linking them to CompUSA.com right now. >>> Download Link The scans are in a .zip file (around 5.5MB). We suggest you save the file to your hard drive just in case we are forced to remove the ads later for whatever reason. Can't open the zip? Try this PDF version instead. Also, keep in mind that in order to save bandwidth, provide an exclusive benefit to you, our members, and to prevent hotlinking, you need to click on the link from this site in order to access the file. If you post the URL on another site, they will just be redirected to our BF home page where they can register for the forum to access the ad. If you need instructions on how to download and open the file, check out the instructions and demos in the WalMart ad scan thread.
fairydustcrissy Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 OOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH........offers are good the entire 24 hrs!!!!
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Finally a new BF ad, the natives were getting a little restless :)
VonnegutFan Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Actually, is anyone else as dissapointed in the sale as I am? I don't want to sign up for a year of AOL! Argh.
Brad Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 Yep, that's a big let down. And it's kind of shady for them to put the after-rebate prices so big in the ad. I'll be including the "real" prices when I add them to the database

Rebirth Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Wow...it starts early. I hope their employees are getting some good bonuses.
Brad Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 Items are being added to the database one page at a time. Once they've been all added I'll start linking them :)
Mike Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Don't see anything I wan't to wait in line for. I did notice Xbox 360 games for $60. Jebus, there is no cap for video games these days.
darianwiccan Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Hmm... I Just got done actually looking at the ad-scan, and yes, it is a bit dissapointing. I would almost compare them with Wal-Mart from last year. Oh well.. I'll just sit here and impatiently wait for the Best Buy ad-scans!
cronos Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Wow...it starts early. I hope their employees are getting some good bonuses.yup, they start at 11:59pm Thursday :)
sigrist_2000 Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 you do know that if they start at 1159 thursday that is when ppl will start to line up at other stores since theyll be out anyways...omg...gretchen double the order of hockey outfits...lol
MarkRaby Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Wow....ad says that the deals start 11:59 PM Thursday and end 12:00 AM Friday. That could be the shortest window of time for any deal I've ever seen -Mark-
KBsDarling Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Ugh never thought of that sigrist....Cause when people get done at Comp they will just head to the next line....Hope everyone thinks their sale is stinky and doesnt go LOL
bytch_mynickname Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Can these deals be bought online? I don't have a compusa near me. I think maybe I want the Cyberhome dvd recorder. I'm not sure what the difference is between theirs (1600) and Walmart (1200) but dvr1600 sounds better than dvr1200, don't know why but higher number sounds better?
Brad Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 As I type these up, I'm also really unimpressed. For so many I'm thinking "you can get that cheaper online right now". I'm sure there will be a few deals, but those stupid AOL rebates really kill any of the good deals. Might as well advertise things like; 42" Plasma HDTV - $9.99* *$2999.99 - $2990.00 that you borrowed from your dad = $9.99 final price

happyrat Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Remember if you do actually find anything you want, just select pickup and they will reserve for upto 72 hours at the store of your choice. That way its instock when you get there.
89MustangGX Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 I was thinking that Acer notebook on page 5 might be a nice deal, are we not thinking so? $200 worth of rebates and it seems like it's a good all around machine. Model seems to be: Acer Aspire AS5002WLCi
Lovepats Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Wait - what is the deal with the AOL thingy? Are the prices shows AR including having to sign up for AOL for 1 year of service? WTF? Thank you Brad!!
