  1. I would be the one to dress up like a bear and scare the people camping out.
  2. FYI, I have seen some prices update on Walmart.com, but not all. Still waiting for the Skylander Swap Force starter pack to drop to $37. They need to hurry up or I may just hand my business over to Target.com, which already has the Swap Force starter for $37!
  3. Based on the "REG. 529.99" I checked out Target's website. They do have a Gateway laptop for $529.99. If we can assume that these are very similar units, it may be a good deal. 4. Kohl's in Richmond, Indiana was a freakin' madhouse! I got in line at 11pm, and there were maybe 50 ahead of me. By the time midnight rolled around, there were also several hundred behind me, and about 25 people had lined up across the roadway from the front doors, in the hope to rush them when they opened. I was one of the many people yelling "BACK OF THE LINE" and trying to generally look menacing. Their crowd control inside the store was practically non-existent. Once we got our items we tried to find the end of the line... and walked around for about 10 minutes before we finally found it. A while later, they moved the line... then moved it again. Now we were back in a far corner of the store and I made the decision to apply for a Kohl's Charge to get into the "much shorter" customer service line. While it was shorter, it was not worth the hype. Spent over an hour in that line. On the plus side, they were ringing up an additional 15% off everything discount back there, so we ended up getting the following: New Balance Shoes BPA-Free Mugs (regularly 12.99, marked down to 3.99!) The tote bag doorbuster Several of the fleece throws The 5qt slowcooker Mens shirt & tie "in a box" P.S. JC Penney's was a much better experience. Waited in line starting about 2:30. The doors opened at 4am and we were checking out at 4:15! We got: Protocol Luggage set 7qt Electric Skillet Large Pillows Remington Electric Razor Other random Items
  5. #1: Neither rain, nor snow, nor dark of night... will keep me from getting doorbusters! #2: (gentleman holding the right door) So, any of you guys ever been to the Running of the Bulls? #3: Slowly shuffling hordes, dazed expressions... either I'm at a Black Friday sale or in a cheesy zombie flick!
  6. In looking at the Target ad, I see that the 40" Westinghouse LCD HDTV is NOT a doorbuster. This being the case, has anyone checked to see if this tv is normally in-stock at the store? I know they sell it online, but have not had a chance to go to or contact my local Target to check.
  7. Sweet! I called my Target and they still have the TV in stock. Sounds like I'm heading there after work. Of course, I don't plan on opening the box until after BF. That way, if they won't price adjust for some reason, then I'll just bring the TV in and get all my money back.
  8. I would be making rounds to a few of my local stores. Target - Westinghouse 32" TV - $246 Target - Chefmate 12-Cup Coffeemaker - $3.00 Target - Chefmate 2-Slice Sandwich Maker - $3.00 Target - Lexar 4GB USB Flash Drive - $10.00 Staples - Seagate 1TB Hard Drive - $69.99 Staples - Targus Notebook Cooling Fan - $9.99 Radio Shack - Logitech Wireless Keyboard & Mouse - $19.99 Radio Shack - NOAA Weather Cube Radio - $10.00 Best Buy - HP Photosmart Wireless Printer - $64.99 Best Buy - 2 x Dynex 7" Digital Photo Frame - $59.98 Total: $496.94
  9. Hooray for price adjustments! I'll be purchasing the Westinghouse TV this week, and simply show up on BF with my receipt to get half my money back.
  10. I called my local Target this evening and asked. The manager on duty said that price adjustments includes Black Friday. So, if I purchase an item and it ends up being cheaper on BF, I can get the price adjusted... as long as it's within 14 days of the purchase date.
  11. I am eagerly awaiting the Meijer and Walmart ads. Mostly Meijer though. They had some great deals last year.
  12. I'm happy to admit that I am not a Christian. I am, in fact, a devout Wiccan Priest. But I am happy when I see "Merry Christmas" signs at stores. Be proud of your religion, and if nothing else, remember that whether you say Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Quanza, Blessed Yule, Happy Festivus, etc... you are participating in the spirit of good will that nearly everyone enjoys. (even though it's pretty early still) I'd like to wish everyone a Happy ChristmaChunaKwanzaYule!
  13. My first Black Friday was 2005. I was first in line at one of the Walmarts in Dayton, OH to get the $398 HP Pavilion laptop. It was below freezing all night long. I think the temp dipped down to somewhere around 0 before we got inside. People were in tents with heaters, in their cars, but we stayed in line, toasty warm thanks to mylar emergency blankets worn like shawls under our coats. At one point, my friend went to the car to get something, and slipped on some ice on his way back. Some change fell out of his pocket, and by the time he had dusted himself off, the change had actually frozen into the puddle of ice. When it finally came time to open the doors, we experienced the usual rock concert crowd push (I think I heard the doors creaking, bordering on breaking) and then it was a sprint-race to the are where the laptops were. Thankfully I was only beaten by one person to the line. That was my first BF experience, and I have since become hooked on "full contact shopping", at least one day a year.
  14. It's a paid holiday, but we are a world-wide company, so I will have to fight tooth and nail this year to get BF off. (
  15. Full Contact Shopping! Deals Galore at 4am! All on Black Friday!
  16. FYI, the walmart near where I did my shopping had a grand total of 5 people in front of it the last time I looked (near 4:30am)!!! muahahahaha
  17. Does BB do price-matching? I've found some nice things in other ads that I know they sell at BB.
  18. Man... that's terrible! No wonder they didn't want their ad leaked early... their cheapest computer is TWICE the price of the cheap one at BB. There are only a couple small things that I would be interested in going to get, but nothing that would make me stand in line for any amount of time.
  19. I'm heading for the 7" digital photo frame, the 100-dvd spindles, and possibly the 500gb external HDD.
  20. Sleep? What's that? I keep myself awake by standing outside in the freezing cold in front of a store starting at midnight!
  21. I'm sorry, but if I saw somebody do that on BF in my line, he'd be needing that wheelchair before I left the store!
  22. In preparation for line-jumpers, I always carry the "attitude adjuster". http://www.policelink.com/nfs/policelink/product_photos/0000/0183/AG_ML0503_L_1.jpg
  23. Maybe it's just me... but I've been mostly disappointed so far this year, and OfficeMax continues the trend.
  24. Duct tape and alcohol is all you need! With these versatile items, you can: Clean wounds Ease pain Apply a tourniquet Bandage a wound Mold a cast (if you have multiple rolls of tape)
