  1. Walmart was a madhouse in electronics but I was back there to get the Dale Earnhardt collection for a friend who was in the front of the store in line for something else. All heck broke loose about 4:40 and people started grabbing stuff and all the walmart associates were freaking out because poeple were stampeding and grabbing way before time. I was right at the box of Earnhardt collection and a lady just handed me one. The panic spread from electronics to the rest of the store and were had already payed for the items and were headed out the door when the manager announced that is was 5am and all associates could now unwrap the pallets. Most of the stuff was not being purchsed, people were walking around but most of the pallets had barely anything taken off of them. Of course, electronics stuff sold out but I bet we could go back today and the pallets would still have stuff on them. We then went to Target, I got both Wii games I wanted, grabbed the $25 dvd player for my friend, then got 2 of the air mattresses and 2 armor all kits and headed to the front. My friend grabbed a bunch of stuff that wasn't even on her list because she saw it and got through the ruch to get it. Friend's mom went stood in line at Staples and got herself the last ticket for the $350 laptop (30 tickets) and got a TomTom GPS for me and the Navigon for her other daughter. Got to Sears across town about 6:30 and got everything there I needed including pricematching Super Mario Galaxy to Circuit City (we don't have CC around here) and a few other games. The down alternative blanket and bonus pillows that were in the ad had a sign up for $19.99 but were ringing up for 29.99, cashier overrode that. My other half got all the tools he wanted and we left. Went to BBW and got a bunch of wallflowers. Sat in the mall waiting for the other stores to open and then went into Boscov's and got a 1/2 ctw diamond anniversary band for $150, orginally tagged at $500. Went out to eat and went home to sleep. Overall, a productive day. Everyone got what they had on their list.
  2. I used the 20% coupon today in electronics without a problem. Lots of people are using it to buy Xbox 360s successfully.
  3. Sign up for updates on one of the websites that inform you of new stock, you will eventually find one. The local gamestop had a shipment the other day and they sold out in 1 minute, 31 seconds. Don't know exactly how many they had but was told it was more than a few. Manager said once he sliced open that box, people came pouring in.
  4. I really like boscovs. They always have good coupons and I have a credit card with them which makes the savings even better. I have spent way too much at that store. You do have to watch though as they have some cheaply made items but overall it is a good store.
  5. You people are lucky to get your papers so early. I live in the smallest city in the USA (literally) and we only have one store/gas station. Our papers are not delivered until sometime afternoon. The upside to living in such a small area is that everyone knows everyone on a first name basis and I can just stop in at the store and ask the owner to save one for me.
  6. I just wanted to say that I have ordered from this company. I got my order about 2 weeks ago and was very pleased. The prints are of very good quality, the only thing a little iffy is the frame but it is useable. It is real wood that is painted black, a couple of mine had scrapes on them but I hung them on my wall and you can't tell. They look great. The person who said about 3 prints being more shipping, I am not sure of that. I ordered 6 and my shipping was still only $5.95. They came in a huge box and were very well packed. I will definately be ordering from them again. Try it, you'll like it!
  7. I bought the Stanley tool box on BF for $79.83, I actually made DH stand in line to get it even though it was his gift. The employee guarding the tool boxes said they ordered 700 of them! I told DH that was probably a lie since we live in a small area and why would they have 700 anyhow? I went back to the store the next day and the tool boxes were marked down to $56, I guess maybe they did have that many of them...there were pallets of them sitting everywhere. I went to customer service and got a price adjustment, I had to stand in line for 15 minutes but for that much of a difference it was worth it. I am going back sometime this week to see if they are any cheaper. They also had many of the $4.24 appliances sitting around and about 150 dvd recorders left. Krissy
  8. I bought the Daewoo from sears and the cyberhome from walmart and took both back today. I think I am going to get the emerson from walmart that is $138 or something like that, at least it is a brand that I recognize. I wasn't able to see how well the cyberhome worked since I couldn't get it to work at all, I probably wasn't doing something right as I was messing with it during my BF exhaustion.
  9. There was a report about shoplifting on my local news last night and they gave some interesting statistics. The one that stuck to me was that store lose $23-25 million per day to shoplifters. Sounds unbelievable to me, not sure if maybe there was a typo somehwere? I tried to find the report on the news website but couldn't find it in the two minutes I looked for it. www.WPXI.com is the local station if you want to look for it.
  10. I am here in western PA and not sure what the weather is going to be but at this point anything is going to be bad for me since I am waiting for BF to buy new tires for my car. My tires I have now are bald, I shoud have got new ones last week b4 it started snowing. Luckily I talked my DH into going shopping with me so he can drive. I'm not afraid to drive on bad roads but if he wrecks then I won't have to hear the "women can't drive" line over and over again. No matter what the weather is like, everyone needs to keep safe tomorrow...don't risk too much as saving money isn't worth it.
  11. Happy birthday!...I have another b-day buddie:woot2:
  12. Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving:hungry: Happy B-day to me (21st B-day so there is no reason not to be happy:7beer: ) And good luck to everyone tomorrow on getting all the good deals and be safe.
  13. That is so sweet! I know how you feel, my dog is going to be 13 which is old for her breed. Most people think I am dumb, "she is only a dog"...I don't care, she is my dog and I love her...like a child since I don't have any kids. Nice to know there are other people who feel like I do about my dog.
  14. I would imagine, and thank you for posting, I was wondering if I was the only with a boscovs:rolleyes:

    Boscovs

I know I probably shouldn't be asking this but does anyone know anything about Boscovs? I am just getting into the whoe BF shopping thing and I love my local boscovs and was wondering if they usually have a BF sale or what? I know I should just wait until the ads come out but I am excited:bunny:
  16. I live in a small town but there are 3 walmarts in equal distances from me and all 3 have the $488 computer prices but I did notice that one of them (the one I planned on going to:g_thumbri ) is going to have the cheap kitchen appliances for $3.98 instead of $4.24. Not much but every little cent counts
  17. I got the Daewoo from sears on their friends and family night and I do not remeber seeing anything in the manual about DIVX but I may be wrong. I would look again but the box and manual have already been stored away to make room for BF buys. Even though I go the daewoo, I think I am still going to try to get the cyberhome from walmart on BF and take the one I have back to sears. For some reason I do not like it, I think the reason being it is too much like a vcr. I want the capability of skipping comercials and whatever else can be done. The daewoo is pretty basic, I do like the fact that it can record on both dvd-r and dvd+r. Does anyone know if the cyberhome will skip commercials? I think I read somewhere it did:yup:
  18. quick question...can you give me more details on the nostalgic style lighted curio? Specifically the original price on it and the dimensions? TIA Krissy
  19. These are one time use codes in case you didn't know. Once they are used, they won't scan again. Maybe be able to be used at another office supply store as a competitor coupon though.
  20. The Daewoo from Sears supports both as well. I got it last night at the Friends and Family night and overall I am happy with it. I never had another dvd recorder so I can't really compare it to anything else but it is definately better than a vcr. It lacks the commercial skip function but IMO that is what the fast forward button is for.
  21. FYI: I just called my local sears to confirm the Friends and Familt Night and I asked about the daewoo dvd recorder. They said that they are a decent recorder for the price and they never had any come back. I asked what the normal price was on it since when the ad first came out I looked on the Sears website and couldn't find it. He said it was $129.99. I did find it on the website after I talked to him and the nice thing I saw was that it records on both dvd-r and dvd+r format. I think I am going to pick this one up and try it out and if I don't like it I will get one of the other ones on BF and return the daewoo. Just thought I would let you know.
  22. What about the Daewoo from the Sears ad? It isn't on the above list
  23. I am not completely sure how stores get their deals for BF but so they have items special made? What I am talking about it is the Cyberhome dvd recorder, in the ad it says model number dvr1200. I searched online and can not find anywhere where cyberhome has made a 1200? Thoughts please?
