JanaBanana Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Im making my mom up a gift "tote" bag instead of a basket....Im filling it with books I ordered for her online, a bookmark, things of that sort...anyways my question is would it be in bad taste to also put in the tote bag the free samples of things I receive in the mail, like shampoo/cond samples, body sprays ect ect?
firtbird Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 If it is things she needs or would use I think it would be a great idea. Useful things are usually welcomed no matter if they are sample size or full size. Go for it.
ryka Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 If you think she will enjoy it and use it I would put it in.
amystuff Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 How about putting the samples in a purse-size makeup bag?
saraczek Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I think it is a very good idea, especially if she takes any road-trips
starshine Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 If she likes to travel like my mom she would probably love it they are just the right size to travel with

wildtama Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Agreeing that it's not only a good idea, but thoughtful. And the things that involve some thought are the best!
SuperMommy Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I would do it. I mean you're just putting them in there as little bonuses since you already have other stuff to put in there. The more the merrier.:)
JanaBanana Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 Thanks everyone :) Im so glad I asked to make sure!!! I think it will turn out to be a great tote filled with goodies.
musiang Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I did this for my Mom for Mothers Day as she was going to FL to my brothers for a week. She had her favorite products, yet still remembered me everyday she was there!
ebony0421 Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 I think that is a very good idea and she'll know that it is something you put thought into. :g_clap:
all4linkae Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 I already told you I thought this was a good idea Jana :) Im sure your mom will love it!!
couponmamaoftwins Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I would love a gift like that. Plus, it's a bonus for you that the samples were freebies.
Guest all2tired Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 That's a very good idea and she'll love it

fairydustcrissy Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I am making baskets this year and I included samples. Like others said, if its something she will like, go for it!

Mommie2one Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 One of the things I bought my mom last year was a personalized photo tote bag of the grandkids. She plays bingo and she loved it. Puts all her stuff in for Bingo night
