sgigi Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 My BIL throught it would be fun this year for the siblings on my DH's side to exchange As seen on TV gifts to each other. We have a $20 spending limit. Can anyone help with some ideas of products that you own or have given that are worth the money? They just let us know this about two weeks ago and I had already figured out what to buy them. Now, I'm scrabbling for ideas. I told them next year they better tell me in July because I start planning back then. Any help would be appreciated! I have six adults to buy for (3 women & 3 men). Thanks!
laniebean Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 get them all pillow pets... LOL my kids all want them so they are really the only ASOT items I have looked at but the cost 19.99
tjredsox4 Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Pillow pals are 9.99 at TRU on black friday
me2 Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 A Ped Egg.Younger daughter wanted one because her older sister has a phobia about other people's dead skin. The Pedegg thing shaves dead skin off your feet. Or a snuggie. Younger daughter also has a leopard print snuggie. Not sure why. Her sister has no phobias about snuggies. A cast iron pancake puff pan. Son was entranced by that idea one year. Or how about a slap chop. We've escaped that one, but it has an amazingly annoying commercial.
juanadeal Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 I got my DH a Giants Snuggie alittle while back and he actually loves it! It was 16.99 at costco. Walgreens is having a BOGOF sale on ASOTV things in Thanksgiving if that helps. I heard the perfect brownie is nice too.
hack2222 Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 There's the jupitar jack for $10 for cell phones thru radio. THe shaking weights are $20. The can bottle top lids for $6 . Pediegg, mighty putty. Try this site its, walmart but is all ON TV. http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_query=as+seen+on+tv&ic=48_0&Find=Find&search_constraint=0. Hope this helps you and anyone else trying this theme of ideas
tinkrbel Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Ummm..not sure what you should get but Walter Drake had the pedegg's, some strap away things and the neck contour thing in their clearance section so might me worth your while to look there :)
mgmckny Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 The wonder pad thingie, it's an organizer for bills etc and folds up. Don't know why but I want one. My younger son has stolen my shake weight, he likes it, will have to get him the mens version soon so I can have it back. Can't think but there was something else I was interested in...
Elmck Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 One of my DIL's bought something from Sear the other night. She said she watches the commercial for it. It's some kide of cloths that absorb super amounts of liquid or spills. She got a mop with it and 2 packs of the cloths for $20 the did an informercial (I guess you call it) in the store
HansieDZ Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I lucked out last year and found some of the ASOT items at the Dollar Tree. I got a Ped-Egg (disgusting apparatus but it works--ugh) and those Bump-Its. Not bad for a buck :)
Gnish Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Have the sunglasses and the iRenew. Not impressed with either one.
theboyzmom Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 not sure if it's worth the money or not, but my ds really wants that Fusghi (?) Ball....may have to check out the BOGO sale mentioned above
speeddiva Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Gotta go with the classic ChiaPet! I know they usually have them @ Walgreens.

donella Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Dollar General has a few of them for 5 dollars thru wednesday before Thanksgiving. The cell phone wallet looked interesting.Don't get the pop can tops as they are almost impossible to get on the can.
fluffkin79 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I like my wondermop. It's like a twistable rag mop made out of sham-wow cloth. I'm a little ashamed to admit thinke the Big Top cake pan looks cool.

Rockfordmom Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 check the walgreens ad, I think all as seen on tv is 1/2 price either friday or saturday
sgigi Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 Wow, thanks for all the responses! I'd forgotten about the ped egg and the chia pet. I know exactly who I'm buying that for! I hope I get the big donut pan or the perfect brownie pan! I'll have to check out walgreens ad. It's great to hear about those that don't work well. If I have to spend money on these things, I at least want them to be worth it. Keep the ideas coming if you have them!
kailatilear Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 My daughter had to have the touch and brush, she loves it, by the way she's only 8 and a seen it on tv nut. She wants the muddy putty, but not happening. I have the burger slider thing. The kids have snuggies, she is getting a pillow pet. Love the mop thing. I could do her whole Christmas with seen it on tv stuff and she would be so happy.
happysunshine28 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I want one of those pet hair vacuum things, dont know what they are called, but if it works and my cats would stay still and not claw us to death it would be wonderful.
Marcster Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 We got those dryer balls as a stocking stuffer from my MIL a few years ago. If the balls sole purpose is to make a clunking noise in the dryer then they're perfect, otherwise we didn't notice them doing anything positive...
jade2002 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Stay away from the Slap Chop, those things are nothing but junk. I bought one, tried it out and threw it in the garbage. I was going to suggeest a Fushigi also. Got ds one for Christmas but don't know much about it as it is already wrapped up. They do look really cool on t.v. though.
Buckeye Shopper Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 My son got the fushigi ball, back in the summer. It is kinda cool, but he's lost interest in it already.
Kibit13 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I saw the perfect brownie pan at Marshals the other day and I routinely see the Ped Eggs, Bump its and those hair clip things at Ross.
AndreaInNC Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I love the brownie pan I bought one over the summer!
Kibit13 Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 DH gave me the Slider Station last year in my stocking. He found it on clearance at BBB for less than $3. He was so proud of himself!
dullestbear Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 the travel pillow thing is good if you have a traveler., we just ame back froim a trip to orlando and I was sick and slept most if the way, It wsa great not to have a sore neck. defianly will buy another
me2 Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Bed Bath & Beyond has the Fushigi. They're 19.99, but if you have a $5 off coupon from one of their sale flyers it's 14.99.
HansieDZ Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 I was in at the Dollar Tree today and they have several ASOT items again this year: the Strap-It (bra thinggie), The Windshield Wizard, the Aqua Globe, gosh I can't think what all else now. Not the Ped-Egg though (I'd get another one for my sil). Seriously, you can't go wrong for a dollar a piece! ETA-my mom gave me the Windshield Wizard and it's worth a buck imo,but to think she paid $20 for two of them.....
