magst24 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Just got back from WM with no tv-told me to come back at 8. He tried to put the number in for the tv and it would not come up in the system. Now online, I can't even put it in my cart.
bigdogofftheporch Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 i could put in my cart but it is still the same at check out

princessbsl45 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I got my 26" TV online! Nothing like buying a TV at 4 AM!

clm101798 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Not too many people must want 32" tvs. I gave up and went back to bed around 4:30 earlier. Just got up a short time ago and figured what the heck, I will see if it is online now. Lo and Behold...I have a new TV!
speeddiva Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Was anyone able to buy the iTunes cards? I was at my local store and they claimed they were having company-wide issues & wouldn't sell them to me.
beccasbank Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Was anyone able to buy the iTunes cards? I was at my local store and they claimed they were having company-wide issues & wouldn't sell them to me. Same here in Clio, MI. They were having the same problem at 3am, but I assumed it was because the sale didn't officially start until 8am. They took my name and phone number and said they'd call me when the system was fixed. Very frustrating!!
miller205 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Just go back from my Walmart. It was shockingly empty! Lots of TV's and laptops being sold though. The iTunes cards would not go through either. However, the staff was amazing and did their best to hustle and finagled a way to get them to work. In the end I ended up with 4 $25 cards instead of 2 $50!! That is even better! They decided to run them all through one register to make balancing out at the end of the day easier.
jwelch6301 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Just returned from my WM in Clio, MI. ITunes cards are not being sold until 8am. They will ring up at the sale price, but the activation will fail once the transaction is completed. They had to refund the $ to my card. They did say Tvs and other things would be sold for the sale price, but no the ITunes cards due to the activation process through the computers. They had tons of them in the electronics dept. Hope this info helps someone. Here in Raleigh NC after almost an hour of trying to get the cards activated, they finally pulled them from the displays and said "Sorry, home office says we can't sell these." Wallyword.......Geeze
miller205 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Walmart really needs to get their act together. It's not like selling iTunes cards for less than the face value is a new thing. Target did it last year on BF and with no issues what so ever.
KimberlySA Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Just got back from Wally with my Itunes cards. No problems with them at all. There was a line for the deals though.
Haley28 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Got my (2) Vizio 26" TV's for the kids Christmas! Only one other person besides me was in the electronics dept. I was telling the lady who checked me out what a good deal it was and she told me they were going to have some great deals on TV's on Black Friday too, but she couldn't tell me anything about what they were.

Most store employees will not find out which items are going to be on sale until the weekend before. PS, the Wally World store I went to only had 5 of the 26 inchers in...was each store kinda low on those as well? (I did get mines, I was just asking)
iluvwalmart Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 More then likely Walmart will have some kind of deal on TVs for BF. They always do. Specially this year with all the talk of getting a real deal on lcd tvs.
BGndr Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I didn't have any problems buying the iTunes card either. We went at 6 am and were the ONLY ones there for the sale. We were after 2 laptops (for our parents) and the store had 21. People didn't start lining up until 7:30.
peifgirl Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I sent my dad to Walmart because I live 30 mins from one and he lives about 10 mins from one. He went around 8am (central time) and got 2 iTunes cards for me no problem. He said there was no rush for them. I also got the red wii deal online no problem. I clicked on the link thru the main BF site here, I hope ya got some credit for that Brad.
racerfan Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I was at Walmart this morning at 6:50 At 8am tried to check out the Itunes cards and it would not go thru. After waiting an 1/2 hour they took my name and my Daughters name and how many cards we wanted and said they would call us when it was resolved. We went to eat, and on the way home got the phone calls that everything was fine we could come back and get the cards. They said they will be giving us an extra $10 card for our problems!!!! I love my small town Walmart today!!! lol Not everyday can I say that.
slinkster65 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 My WM had only 4 of the 26'' (supposedly). However, it is saying online that there are still some instock there... I am tempted to go back and see if the ones they said were not part of the sale actually are. Same problem with iTunes here, but dept manager took down everyone's name and # who wanted them and said she will call everyone once it is working in the system and will not sell them until she has called people and put cards on hold for them.
speeddiva Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Finally got my iTunes cards but I had to drive across town to another Walmart. What a frustrating mess!
cherry33778 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Same problem here with the iTunes gift cards. Was given the cards then told to come back to the store "later" to buy them. Why does Walmart always have problems with their sales?
Rose0426 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Stepdaughter just picked up laptop for her daughter about half hour ago. They still had 8 in stock.
scjets Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 My Walmart was selling 2 $25.00 cards at regular price, and then giving cash back.
jwelch6301 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Same problem here with the iTunes gift cards. Was given the cards then told to come back to the store "later" to buy them. Why does Walmart always have problems with their sales?WM has resolved the issue with the itunes gift cards:D. You should try again or call 1st.
smtowngrl Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Husband went to Walmart and got the iTune cards and had no problem. Said they had plenty. About 8 people were in the electronic dept. waiting to get TV's.
j9k Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 My 17 yo dd and I went to our local Wal-Mart just before 8AM...empty parking lot, empty store!! No problem getting the $50 i-Tunes cards (we both grabbed 2 cards each, and the guy in Electronics rang them up for us). There were a few people waiting for TV's. All the employees were shocked how few people were there for the deals this morning.
mdyess Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I went to Wal Mart in Waynesboro MS this morning at 7:30 and they only had 2 of the 26 inch TV's and only 2 of the I Tune cards but they over rode the $50 and sold it for $35, and they only had a few of those. The store was almost empty. I was suprised.
