harrispizza4 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 I'll send one in the morning! God bless this little boy.
amyers12345 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 actually, I found another link on Snopes that said it is still pending.. I've gotten this about 100 times, and I checked back and my first email was the first of October. I hope it's true, and I hope that they get there, but there I can't find a record of that address or anyone with the parent's name in the state. Ah, the power of social networking.
georgiapeach717 Posted November 5, 2009 Author Posted November 5, 2009 amyers I hope that the one that says "true" is in fact true on snopes. Either way My kids are going to make him one tonight and its going in the mail in the morning. Thank you all for helping. My kids are 2.5 (when he started the battle) and 5 (his age where he is probably going to pass) and I cried when I read this. It just strikes me close to my heart. I know the feeling of losing a child and I still cant imagine this family's pain.
hopeky94 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 (edited) This is sooo sad... I know the family of an 8 yr old little girl in my hometown fighting this same disease, and it's beyond words what these kids and their families have to deal with. By the way, there's a Care Page for Noah as well, with updates from his mom on how he's doing and how many cards and packages have arrived: Care Page for Noah Biorkman Edited November 6, 2009 by hopeky94 corrected name of Care Pages website
Jen8112 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I saw this posted on someone Facebook status. Never even took the time to verify it. I re-posted it there and will be sending a card. Thank you! :)
Jen8112 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 To add, my 14 year old nephew died about two years ago from cancer and he too had a CarePage.

I'd much rather see some jerk of a scammer than see another child dying of cancer. The way this has circulated so far in such a short time has astounded me. I hope that social networking can be used for only good in this manner.
georgiapeach717 Posted November 6, 2009 Author Posted November 6, 2009 well you have me at a loss for words in my own defence amyers...i certainly did not mean that I hope a kid was dying. I would hope no one read it that way, as I didnt even think of how it could have come across. Like I said, I know that pain and I still dont want to imagine this famiy's pain. thank you to everyone who has taken the time to send a card or letter! ((hugs))
jerica388 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 gp - I did not read it that way at all! I will send out a card and a few prayers with it.
jade6700 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Our card went out yesterday. Many prayers for Noah and his family.

georgiapeach717 Posted November 7, 2009 Author Posted November 7, 2009 thank you girls...i felt awful when that was turned around on me. Thanks again for the cards and prayers for this family!!! I think *this* truly is the meaning of this season! Reaching out even in a small way in a compassionate way to strangers. Lots of christmas love for you all! <3
bugsette Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I read some place that they do want any more cards...... I was going to send one.....anyone heard more on this?
Christina97 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I read about this on a major news network and they verified it. We sent a card this morning. I did hear that the post office there was being overrun with cards for this little guy. I heard about it last week. I will say a prayer for him and his family.
HBKitmitto Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 yes, if you check that snopes page it says they celebrated last week and now just want to concentrate on being together. They've asked for everyone to stop sending cards and gifts.
AndreaInNC Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 wow you think since the family has asked for the cards to stop that Snopes would respect their wishes and take down their address!
