  1. I am looking for a portable dvd player also and was wondering about the ones at Target. Can't find much info on the dual TruTech one. My kids were wondering if they could plug in games to each screen and so on. I think it only has one player so you have to watch the same movie on both screens. Maybe buying 2 of the RCA portable players would be better for my kids and they would just have to hold them on their lap or something in the vehicle. Any advice? I can't find the RCA player in the Target ad. Where can I find the missing page in the BF ad? Or what is the item # so I can look it up for the specs. TIA
  2. I was interested in the TruTech dual screen portable DVD player but I can't even find it on the Target website. All of the TruTech merchandise doesn't have very good reviews either.
  3. Didn't know anything about the Bill Me Later. Wonder if I can do this if I already ordered?
  4. This is a monitor, not a tv.
  5. I bought the Hoover Floormate almost 2 yrs. ago and was so disappointed that I returned it. It didn't do any better than using a regular mop for me on my new tile floor. The steam cleaner definately gets things more clean and you don't have to buy any cleaning fluid. I would say it's worth a try compared to the expense of refinishing. Buy one at a store and if it doesn't work like you want it to you can return it and no shipping costs.
  6. I just bought the Haan steam cleaner. I saw the infomercial and did some research. Then ran across one at Linens N Things for 20% clearance sale. It had the carpet attachment and 2 pads so I got it since I was wanting the carpet attachment. Original $100. and got it for $80. Have only tried it once but was impressed by the steam. After using it I used cleaner and wiped a spot on my kitchen floor and it was completely clean. Regular mopping would have never gotten it this clean.
  7. I think hth means "hope this helps"
  8. I'm wondering about the washer and dryer set. They are only 3.5 and 5.8 cu ft. Isn't that pretty small? I couldn't find the size of my own set, sure don't want anything smaller. I noticed they have another set that is bigger and the price is much higher too. Just warning everyone about the sizes.
  9. I saw that Zelda for the Wii is on sale for $34.99 this week at Circuit City. Was wondering if it might be online cheaper closer to Christmas or if I should just go ahead and buy it now? Too many decisions to make this time of year, lol.
  10. Mcdonalds by my house is doing it tomorrow as well. I got the b'fast sandwich but thought it was very bland. Will try the lunch one this evening.
  11. Just got back from Target. The Lego Star Wars game is for Gamecube $9.xx. My kids want the Wii version so bad. Hardly nothing in the Dollar spot. The had a bunch of boxes blocking the inside isle so they are getting ready to restock it w/something. Never saw any markdowns. The stationary isle was 75% off. Lots of dry erase boards in different sizes and some photo albums. Lots of Hershey's Dark chocolate bags in different flavors by the food.
  12. Was the Lego Star Wars a Wii game or Gamecube?
  13. Not sure where you're located but our Target clearanced out bathroom stuff a few weeks ago. I'm redoing 2 bathrooms right now and I'm kicking myself for not getting the double towel bar that they had on clearance. Now the only one I can find is at a builder store for $37. Btw, how did you paint your countertops?
  14. We tried getting the black and color ink cartridges refilled at Walgreens and it worked well for a very short time. Now it prints kind of green for the black and the color is off as well and no red. I'm not going to waste my money on a refill ever again even though it was only $5 each.
  15. Sorry, I don't have any answers to your question about the gift cards. Maybe you can call Sears and talk to someone in customer service or ask to combine the cards for bigger amounts. I bought my HD tv during a Friends and Family sale last Nov. I got a good deal on a Sony b/c of a mail in rebate and a instant discount plus the sale price. Then on BF I went in and got the price adjustment b/c it was a door buster item. I don't know about a F&F sale at the end of the month. The add may be posted here a few days before it starts, who knows. Hopefully they will have a MIR going at the same time again but doubtful b/c BF and the Superbowl are over with, not a hot time to buy a tv now. Also it is important to go w/a good name brand on the tv, not just a low price. I would also recommend getting the extended warranty. Hope you can find your parents a good deal.
  16. Thank you for the info. I did a search and didn't find a recall on our model. I did read some pretty bad reviews though and now am wondering if Dh should of tried to get to Sears. He has already installed it so I guess it's too late. Can't believe that a lot of people were having problems after only a couple years when it has a lifetime warranty. We bought model # EE3Z50RD055V. Guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed on this one and of course let Dh know he might of screwed up, lol.
  17. lol... Well he knew he had to buy one today and get it installed. He left work early to get it all done. We picked out the one from Sears after looking online at Home Depot and Lowes. The Kenmore model was so much cheaper for basically the same specs. Since we couldn't get to Sears today b/c of the road conditions he just went ahead and got the Whirlpool. It's only money, right? lol This is one of the reasons why I am always looking for the best deals b/c Dh can be careless sometimes w/money. Other times he is the biggest tightwad around.
  18. Well we didn't end up getting the Kenmore at Sears. They were out of stock at the closest location and the other location is about 15 miles away which wouldn't of been that big of a deal if we hadn't gotten over 10" of snow today. Roads were at a standstill from all of the wrecks and jack-knifed semis. So Dh stopped at Lowes and ended up getting a 50 gallon Whirlpool for $440. He kept saying "but it has a lifetime warranty", lol. Guess it has a bunch of other features and such but I still think it was kind of silly mainly b/c I have been wanting to move and I said we don't need a lifetime warranty. So he said we'll take it w/us when we move, lol. Oh well, at least I will have hot water tonight.
  19. Thanks for the idea about possible coupon matching, never know unless I try. :) We did look at the FHR specs so we are aware of that info. The specs and Energy guide on the 55 gallon is the same as our old 40 gallon. The warranty is only 6 yr. but the model that has a 12yr. warranty had a lot of bad reviews about bottom element fires. Definately don't need that.
  20. Our 12 yr. old hot water heater started leaking out of the top. Does anyone know of any deals on an electric hot water heater? We had a 40 gallon but want to get a 50-55 gallon. Couldn't find much in a search. Thinking about the Kenmore Power Miser 6, 55 gallon at Sears for $230. Anyone know of any deals or discounts for Sears or anywhere for that matter on one? I know a lot of people on here don't like Sears. All of our appliances are Kenmore and we haven't really had any problems w/Sears.
  21. Went into the Vogel Target Sat. night and saw one tan ottoman but it was only 30% off. Thought I didn't want to pay that much for it so I passed. Well the more I thought about it the more I wanted it. Went in Sun. afternoon and of course it was gone. I kept telling Dh that it probably got moved and was still in the store somewhere b/c I didn't look hard enough for it, whole family was w/me, lol. So now I'm bummed. The store associate couldn't look it up b/c she didn't know the number and I haven't been able to find it online. Oh well, next time I'm considering buying something I guess I will go ahead and get it.
  22. I bought this but it doesn't say anything about a poker on the box. It says screen and cover included. Maybe this is the newer packaging?
  23. Yes, I had a hard time choosing between that one and the copper bowl one for my mom. The one you bought will hold a bigger fire until that grate burns through. Not sure how long that would last. I went ahead and got her the copper bowl b/c she knew what it looked like.
  24. I think I saw this fire pit and posted about it the other day. The sticker said orig. $79.xx and it was marked down to $19.xx. Did it have 2 legs and 2 wheels so you can move it around? Tried to post the picture but couldn't get it to work. It's called the backyard firebowl. http://www.target.com/Heatwave-Fireplace-28/dp/B000U6AWWU/sr=1-6/qid=1204228849/ref=sr_1_6/601-7800674-3371311?ie=UTF8&pricerange=&index=target&field-browse=1038576&rh=k%3Abackyard%20firebowl&page=2
  25. We limit our kids soda intake mainly b/c it is terrible for them and also b/c it is way over priced. We all usually get water w/meals. Soda is marked up the most at any restaurant and this is where they make the most money. Wish more parents would limit soda b/c it attributes to obesity, tooth decay and hyperactivity problems. It is not in the food pyramid, lol.
