  1. Yes, it is poorly run stores. Too bad w/a corporation that large there will be many poorly run stores and managers. Maybe corporate should crack down more and follow through. This is a major operating day so the employees should be informed weeks before hand and then again a few days before to freshen their memories. I am glad some stores seem to be on top of it but there are others that aren't. Thanks for letting me vent.
  2. I have seen you post this in another thread. I think everyone knows the times at the bottom of the ad. It's whether or not the store abides by that or not which of course they will unless there are laws. The problem or venting is that the employees haven't even been told any info.
  3. None at any of the stores around me. I'm going to try Kmart the Sat. after bf for $89.99 6am-noon. I don't want to spend possibly hrs. in line at Walmart either.
  4. This has been discussed in the *Help - Already limited stock, buy now & adjust on BF???* thread post. I tried to do this and the manager at that location was told they would not price adjust even after I showed them the policy online. Check your location to be sure.
  5. GRRRRR Ok, I called both Walmart locations that I could be shopping at and the managers still didn't know anything and haven't even seen an ad. One is positive that the sale starts at 5 am. The other store knows there is 2 sale times but that is it. Walmart inform your managers at least!!!!
  6. Yep! LG makes Kenmores, lol. I was interested in the $1100. pair at Sears but now found a LG model that is basically the same at HomeDepot for $600 each. That's the set I thought you were referring to. The Sears guy said that LG makes Kenmore.
  7. I am getting tired of Sears and their commission salesmen and especially their over priced extended warranties. They could lower their prices if they didn't have to pay commission. I found a great washer/dryer set at Home Depot... no commission and very low extended warranty prices. Plus 18 month no interest and Free delivery and set up!
  8. I was reading how ppl are thinking about putting things on layaway and then picking up on bf b/c some stores will price adjust. But I noticed there is a $5. fee to layaway. So I looked to see if they have a price adjustment policy and they do! ** "Price adjustments will be given on prior Kmart purchases within 7 days of purchase. You must present in your original sales receipt /email to receive the adjustment. Price adjustments will not be given on holiday merchandise or merchandise that is on clearance." ** Anyone have any problems price adjusting? I know it varies and to check the store. Thinking about this for the Sat. sale on the DS Lite.
  9. Was this in store and a new one?
  10. I tried asking at customer service and electronics and they were all clueless about bf. They didn't know the sale starts at midnight and one said they wouldn't even be open until 5 and it's a 24hr. store. I was beside myself about the lack of knowledge. Anyone else running into this? How can they not even know by now that the sale starts at midnight? I may go to the next town and forget this walmart.
  11. I wish my DH felt this way. We are driving 4 hrs. Wed. afternoon to get to his relatives and then have to turn around Thurs. afternoon to drive 4 hrs. back home. Guess I'll try to sleep on the way home but that isn't going to help him. He said he won't go out for the midnight deals and I can't drag the kids out that long either. The mall and main stores are almost 30 miles from our home so that's a lot of miles for 2 vehicles as well. This is a screwed up yr. b/c of the time changes! I don't like it!!
  12. Can you imagine how crabby everyone is going to be by 5 am for the actual door busters? I see some major knock down drag outs happening and tempers flaring, lol.
  13. 10 yr. old girl and 12 yr. old boy. They both like MySims and the lego Wii games. DS is getting into the shooting games and DD likes animals so maybe this info will help narrow some games down.
  14. My kids have been wanting a DS for yrs. so I might actually get them each one from Walmart on bf. They have a Wii but was wondering what DS games are good for 10 & 12 yr. olds?
  15. I bought a camcorder a few yrs. ago online as well. The price usually changes over at midnight like peppysfireball said. Since it isn't a doorbust and is on the 2 day sale then I would be confident that you could buy online.
  16. I am thinking like rjncmj. I think many ppl will be there before midnight to get games and dvds and such and then line up for a doorbuster item. This will lead to many, many hrs. in Walmart, ugh. The 12:01 am deals is just making everyone start 5 hrs. earlier than normal. So if you usually get in line around 3 am now you'll have to line up around 10 pm and so on. Wonder how many will deal w/that long of a wait?
  17. I know and I was under control. BUT as I said before, she was referring to the price match policy not the price protection policy. If they are not going to abide by corporate rules then they should have that posted all over the doors and in store. If all stores are not going to follow the same rules then why have any rules or policies to begin with?
  18. This is Target's price match policy. http://sites.target.com/site/en/comp...=WCMP04-040400 They will price match w/in 7 days and adjust 14 days. You might want to print the policy or there is an email reply link in other posting and take it w/you. Make sure you have your receipt and adjust during the door buster time period.
  19. Went into Sears tonight for the F&F sale to buy a washer/dryer set that will be on sale on bf during the 2 day event. We were in the process of ringing it up and I asked if this goes on sale lower if they would price adjust and he said yes in a 14 day time period. Then I said well this is in the bf ad and then he said they don't adjust on bf. So I said their policy says they do and we waited for a manager to get the answer. She said no and pulled the policy up online but she was referring to the Price Matching policy and I said no it's the adjustment policy and it even states as long as you bring in the receipt during the time period they will adjust. She didn't know what to say b/c I was correct except that they had meetings on this subject and they were not suppose to adjust. I said that isn't what your corporate policy states. So I didn't buy the set but the sales man said he would call me as soon as the store opens and I could order over the phone w/him. So I am going to print the policy and be very vocal if they don't adjust b/c I talked DH into buying something early in the tool department, lol.
  20. It really stinks that things don't last as long as they use to and everything costs MORE. I think we should get the extended warranty but hate to spend an extra $380+ b/c we can't rely on products. What happened to the day that regular warranties covered things and you didn't have to pay extra for something that should work? Still have to talk DH into buying the warranty b/c I know that if we don't something will be wrong w/it, lol.
  21. My kids are just turning 10 and 12 and they talk about how everyone else has a cell phone. We don't see the point of paying that much more for something they only would need in case of an emergency. So I was actually thinking today of getting a prepaid phone w/minutes and have it at the house in case they need one b/c we don't have a land line and we live out in the country. Also, they could carry it if going to a friends house or something and they need to call. Anyone know of any deals on a prepaid phone?
  22. I posted this under the bf ad post but haven't gotten a reply so thought more ppl would see and give me advice here. I am wanting one of the washer/dryer sets and was wondering if I should get the extra warranty? I have heard that Sears' warranty plans are very high. Can I buy a warranty on a Kenmore product anywhere else? Should I even buy the warranty?
  23. I was surprised to read that they now price match (except on door buster items). I guess they are trying harder to compete w/Walmart.
  24. Sears has a Price Protection Policy... they will give you the difference if the price goes lower w/in 14 days of your purchase. If you are sure that is the coat then buy it now and then take the receipt in on bf during the sale hrs. and get the adjustment. Says it can be done for purchases online also. You might ask at your Sears location but this is what the policy states. I am thinking about doing this on a washer/dryer set so I know for sure I get it but DH is afraid they won't adjust. They adjusted a few yrs. ago on an item I purchased w/no problem but who knows now.
