  1. Every time I see "starshine," I think of the line from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: And apparently that is a quote from Hair.
  2. Sorry, geeks, these are for a twin-size bed. It won't fit your queen- or king-size bed, and your wife wouldn't allow it anyway!
  3. I was going to say the same thing . . . except if you're betting, the money is on "snow"
  4. I'm sure you'll all be glad to know that this item is on K-Mart's Thanksgiving-Day Sale: Assorted Popcorn Tins $4.50 Eat up!
  5. They were probably employees who stole some and sold them
  6. I'm usually in the Syracuse area for BF, so someone else will have to give you the Buffalo strategies. The biggest mall in Buffalo is the Walden Galleria, so I'm sure that's the place to be on BF. I don't like the Galleria for BF, though, because Circuit City moved out and CompUSA isn't there. Radio Shack and Best Buy are in the mall, though. Your best bet might be to head north to the Niagara Falls Blvd area where the various electronics stores are scattered. If Prime Outlets is having a midnight sale, you might want to check on the Niagara Falls Prime Outlets.
  7. Maybe that was the Black Friday Robot prototype I built last year. Sorry!
  8. Since I'm a poor man with no real php skills, here's the solution I thought up for myself . . . maybe this could work: Go to the bother of creating x number of graphics that are identical, except for the number of days remaining. Then just run a cron job at midnight every day that will copy the next graphic over. Taa daa! Sure, it'd be plenty of work to make all those graphics, but so is coding the php :)
  9. I was hoping for a countdown banner, though :)
  10. The FAR items are great to load the cart along with a big-savings item or two.
  11. Naah. When they get up and wait in line, that's when they can pick out what gets bought!
  12. Search froogle.com for: "clone trooper" costume You'll see many results, many from stores you have heard of and can visit in person.
  13. Don't forget the holiday postmarks, too. You can send all your Christmas mail in a large envelope to post offices in participating towns. They'll open your envelope and postmark all your (stamped) mail there. You might want to check around in early December for participating post offices this year as well as specific instructions on how to get your cards postmarked. Previously, you could get postmarks from: North Pole, AK & NYChristmas, MISnowflake, AZBethlehem, PA (and other states)Santa, IDSanta Claus, INEvergreen, AL (and other states)Shepherd, MI (and other states)Snow, OKSnow Shoe, PAChestnut, ILJoy, ILSurprise, NYPartridge, KS & KYI didn't see any recent articles on USPS's site, but here are a couple from 2001 and 2002.
  14. How do you think people might win "immunity"?
  15. It's nice to know that your agent sneaks around looking at your house, isn't it? I'm surprised you bothered to get your policy reinstated. I wouldn't be thrilled with that company.
  16. So they dug a big hole in their yard for the trampoline to go over?
  17. Hmm, budget and core duo processor?
  18. Well, they wouldn't sue, probably, but their health insurance company would sue your home insurance company, and your rates probably wouldn't decrease as a result. So you've still got a reason to keep them away As for broken bones, one of my cousin's sons fell out of a chair (in the sitting position) and broke his collarbone.
  19. IMO, trampolines have their ups and downs (Sorry, couldn't resist)
  20. And that's the year you end up being 51st in line
  21. The XBOX360 or ElmoTMX seemed like the obvious choices here.
  22. How in the world did you get to Wal-Mart less than half-an-hour before opening and get out just half-an-hour after opening?
