The Wendy's I bought this for had the $1 going to a charity or some other sort of "cause". Does everyone have this connection, or are they just selling the coupons? If it's that location's policy, yes. But at FF joints, usually it's a matter of "I'm a teenager getting paid minimum wage to work this lousy job that I don't care about, so if you want to use your silly coupon, go right ahead."

I'm sure this must be a YMMV-type deal. I'll bet you could redeem McD's or BK coupons if you get the right employee Does the Wendy's that accepted your coupon advertise that they accept them, or did you just ask if you could use it?

I've never heard of a Texas Double either, but I found a blog entry with this description (and if it's on the internet, it must be true!):

It should be noted that, at least for mine, the coupons aren't good until 11/1. We don't do Halloween, but I bought a set to give to my son for rewards :)

Not only have I never gotten Christmas bonuses, a bunch of employees are scheduled to be laid off this month And the nicest Christmas gift I have gotten from a boss is two bottles of wine . . . but I don't drink.

The Tops here all rotated with huge sales, but it was because they all remodeled and upgraded and needed to clear off shelving space!

My dreams last night were about Heroes. No BF dreams yet!

It's certainly more relaxing once you hit the later part of the day, however you might be disappointed by several sold-out items.

I never "get up" on Black Friday. I stay up from Thanksgiving, and once I go to bed in the evening of BF, I'm down for the night.

And, for the record, articles probably can't be copied here for copyright issues.

This made me think -- how do we even get out of bed the other 364.25 days of the year outside of BF???

I forgot to mention that I agree with ariosto1 that, despite all the stories of TD rebates, I have gotten multiple rebates with no problems.

Just don't go to BF 9.5 months pregnant. No one is leaving their spot in line to take you to the hospital!

I guess it should be noted that you're buying the security software for $90, and it happens to come with the 1GB flash drive. This is why the large price. So, if you're not interested in the security suite, just get the flash drive elsewhere. (I have seen this software package for FAR at TigerDirect without the flash drive.)

As for laptops w/o internet service: You can still bring your laptop without internet service. You can use it to play games, do work, or whatever else to help pass the time. As for laptop theft: My former vehicle (a Saturn sedan) had the ability to secure the trunk so that items there could only be accessed by using the key in the trunk. If you have this setup, then you could go with that. As for laptops in the cold weather: Keep in mind, however, that it is inadvisable to let the computer sit in the cold for an extended period of time and then boot it up. You should wait 90 minutes after bringing it back into the heat before starting it up again. (The reason is that the cold switching to heat can create condensation on your computer hardware, and water and electronics don't mix. Giving the 90 minutes allows that moisture to dissipate.)

Other than the games that some people look forward to, did anyone expect to be blown away by Ace Hardware and K-Mart deals? That's not where the huge action is at, IMO

Nothing too exciting? What about chocolate covered cherries for $1.66???
