All you horse experts-need help
peppysfireball replied to tjarena's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Not like they used to be. My dad still takes the old ones that are treacherous, but the majority of them are gravelled roads for safety purpose. I prefer ebay or sierra trading post for boots although one of our saddle club members had a garage sale with 3 pairs of Justin ropers for 10 and one pair had never been worn and marked 150 for 10. I bought all of them. I bught my 5 granddaughters Ariat Fatbabies at Christmas for about 22.00 regular 87. Depending on the dealflyer email that I get each day I have extra percentage off and there are new sales everyday. Bought my grandson a pair of HH green and tan ropers new off of ebay for 16.00. they were still double that on sierra. -
Girl's Plus Size Swimsuits - where to find some
peppysfireball replied to vsa3janes's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
A misses 10 is the same as a girls plus 14. I just happened to be in the JC Penney's girls section looking at cheap clearance and they had the cutest jeans that were 4.97 . I thought they looked my size and I'm short so everything is usually too long. I tried on the 14 plus and it fit perfect even a liitle shorter like I needed. So a misses is a little longer and would probably work in swimsuits also. -
Where do you by your printer cartridges?
peppysfireball replied to my2kidsmom's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I tried to refill mine years ago and the ink did run out into my printer. Didn't hurt it just made a huge mess. I refill at Walgreen's but 50% of the time they don't pass the print test and they give them to me free. They usually still work just not as good. I go to ebay and inkjetonline is the best seller i found on there. The last time I bought a 3 pack for the price of one from a regular person getting rid of their extras. -
Buster Brown Shoes - What are they?
peppysfireball replied to arelf27's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
They are a Walmart Kmart Target quality shoe. Years ago they were the in thing, but now it's a major Kmart shoe and the other discount places also carry them cheap. Like everything else they became cheaper in price and quality. -

I once thought that too, but when I got it home, my husband who is a union carptenter laughed at me. He said it's heavy cause its glueboard, sawdust mixed with glue and shaped into a board. He said it was junk and to not to ever buy anything made out of it again because it will chip and disintegrate real easy. -

You cannot EVER put another type of heat into your existing electric or gas duct work. My neighbors husband did this before he died and she had a fire this winter. The fire literally cooked her gas furnace. She was told she was lucky she wasn't dead. It caused creosote buildup in her chimney and it backed up into her furnace. Our propane fireplace ventless has saved us a lot in gas this winter, but it cannot be ran into our existing ductwork for this very reason. -

buying a washer and dryer

I have discovered over the years it's always best to stick with your local appliance store. They will bargain over the price and you can't beat the same day service over saving a few bucks at a big chain store. -

My ds 12 has over 20 of these funkeys. He lives for looking for new ones. I bought a starter kit and a few funkeys for my gs 6 for christmas and my ds 25, has taken it over. He calls me from different stores when he's out shopping to have me look at the chart and see what funkeys are very rare, He will only buy the very rare ones as you get extra benefits on the game if a funkey is rare. My son is now waiting for the new Hidden Realm funkeys to be in the stores. Also beware there is a new update and there are a lot of issues with it. We couldn't get it downloaded so we went to the funkey forum and was told not to load the game from the CD or you will have trouble loading the updates. Go to Mattel, service and download it from there. -

I cannot believe the gall of people who are hiding sale items so no one else can buy them until they make up their minds to do so. It has nothing to do with the store, I think it is awful to do this to other shoppers like myself who are out looking for something and not able to find it because someone has HIDDEN it to keep others from getting it first. What is this country coming to when people are doing sneaky stuff like this to other shoppers. what happened to everyone helping each other. -

I have been married 24 years and have had approximately 4 complete correlle sets. Every piece of it has smashed in millions of pieces. I called them and they sent replacements for a while, but I won't do it anymore. The shards are too small and sharp like needles and you can never find all of them. It was too dangerous for my kids to have in the house anymore, I have went to Melamine type plates. -

Best place is ebay. I bought the waltons there for 7.00 unopened. I also bought the Indiana Jones boxed set for 20 and it retails for 50 at Walmart. It was a pawn shop selling it and it was also unopened. -

Horse people will find the money if they want a horse. We own 4 acres which supports my 2 horses summer grazing and we bale the end corners on the neighbors fields for our winter hay. I don't have heavy wallets, on the contrary, but it is a way of life here.I belong to a local saddle club and we wpent every vacation since I was 9 years old, 34 years ago, at a trail ride in Missouri. We went wether we had money or not. My dad would tell his bosses he was going with or without their permission. That's just the way horse people are. I get my tack from Valley Vet Supply. Some stuff I get from ebay or the local tack store. They have very goood prices. Farm King was my next stop. For boots, Sierra Trading Post has nice boots up to 75% off retail. I bought all 6 grandchildren Ariat's for xmas on there. When my daughter was showing, I got most of her stuff on ebay and made the leather showvests myself as I am experienced at that sort of thing. -

I have had a Kodak camera for 5 years. I hate their software, but you have to have it to load the pictures. I bought a Samsung this year to get rid of the Kodak from my computer. It was the worst camera software I have ever used. -
Sears Sevice Nightmare- suggestions?
peppysfireball replied to rogueleader's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
My only experience with Sears was a swimming pool that collapsed when it thawed the 4th year we had it. It had a 25 year guarantee but you are required to go through manufactureer. They said by pictures it looked a tree limb had fallen on it. It was not true, When it thawed it just went rushing across the yard. After 3 months of angry calls, I called the store and said hey look, you should stand behind your merchandise. The manager said he thought our problem had been resolved. I said no, they offered to sell me another one at a reduced price, he said no problem, they paid for it. When it comes to appliances we would rather pay a little more and buy from a smsall local store that we know will stsand behind anything they sell. We've had our maytag washer and dryer over 20 years and our fridge for 19. If you buy from a big chain just to get a cheaper price, you get what you pay for. -
I had a Guitar Hero nintendo ds I wanted to exchange for the new one and I have receipt, but they said no. It had been more than 45 days. I said how about I do it without receipt and she said they have to have receipt for all returns or exchanges. This is in Illinois
