  1. This is Walmarts deal all the time. My son looks at them occasionally, but has found none he likes as they are older games. Our local Walmart has them for 10.00 apiece. I picked up 2 of them for my granddaughters to put up for next xmas.
  2. I agree. My daughter once dated an appliance store serviceman and he told us it was a bad move to buy plasma if it is used frequently as the plasma has a life span and then has to be redone. He went to a repaircall for one that wasn't working and it was discovered they left it on all the time and in less than a year it had to be redone and was not covered under warranty. My local small TV store also does not recommend them.
  3. Walmart's total after tax and ship is about 9.00. I used the reorder codes from checksunlimited and got mine for 7.50. it's all about the same with these companies. I just did a google search for cheap check reorder codes and checked them all out. The checksunlimited was the best deal at the time. If you haven't ordered from designer before. I got 4 boxes for 14.95 last time.
  4. I have a Creative Labs Zen V. I love it. It also holds pictures and it has had a lot of abuse. I bought mine for 26.00 refurbished on ebay but it came in original box and looked brand new. I saw at xmas you can go on their website Creativelabs.com and buy clearanced or refurbished models direct from them. don't buy from buy.com like I did at xmas. it comes in a cardboard box with no papers or anything.
  5. did it on Jc Penney's Survey site and on the Hills Science Diet site. I just made copies. I gave one to my mom and we checked out at the same time and the machine scanned them both fine. I use my Hills ones at the vet and they just mail it in.
  6. If you will be using a lot of color it's best to get one where you can buy the individual colors. LIke a Canon. If you use brown for instance you use all your yellow and still ahve plenty of the other colors and still have to replace the cartridge anyway. My momm's canon had individual cartridges about 6.00 apiece and she used lots of the yellow and hardly ever had to replace the other two. It's more cost efficient that way.
  7. We just went to the hardware store and bought their brand over 15 years ago. THe only trouble we have is the theral coupler, but if it goes out any generic one will work for about ten bucks and my husband puts it on in 5 min. We get water in out basement , it's old and has a dirt floor, but when the water gets in it which is frequently, we pump it out dry the theral coupler and relight. My son just moved into a house and the heating element went out, which my husband says is one of the few parts on them. He paid about ten bucks for a new generic one and fixed it rught up. Most people don't realize all these systems basically can use the same parts from your local hardware store. They are interchangeable. Now I know one thing about the chains. They don't have their own repair or installation people. My daughter was dating the son of our nearest small appliance store and when they built the new Home Depot about 50 miles from here, they contacted the owner and asked if they could be the HOme Depot Trane carrier. They said no of course because even though it would mean all the Home Depot furnace business they wanted them to take a 25% cut in price. THey said they would just cut their price a little and get all their business anyway.
  8. Don't feel too bad. I went on anyway and read the reviews and the first people didn't even want to give it 1 star. No one seemed to like it except the person who had given it as a gift and not even bveen there when they made it.
  9. It was the Bionicle Axalara 9. I was upset after xms our Walmart clearanced it for 32.oo and SI paid 70. I was going to buy it and return with original receipt but when I went back it was gone. MY ds12 has tons of bionicles. He loves them and my ds 24 also collected all other Legos and gave them all to his brother for his birthdy a few years ago. Needles to say we have 24 years of legos in huge tubs.
  10. Walmart.comn has a bigger selection and with free ship to store woth it. i bought my gdd 2 a Schwinn roadster trike and it was mch cheaper than in the store. They don't pricematch Walmart.com so even my lego set i ordered free ship to store and saved 10.00
  11. I bought my gds 4 a red bike at Walmart for his bday for 35.00. Bought his sister one same time on clearance and it had a baby seat on back for her doll for 17.00. it was clearance the boys bike wasn't .
  12. I've ordered from them all. I used to be a Current customer, but Checks Unlimited bought them out and Designer checks is their sister company. I reordered this week as a returning custmer with a code I found on google for 7.50 a box, 4th box free and free shipping. I ordered for the last few years from Walmart, but they don't have a big selection and I like pretty checks and I write a lot of them. SI didn't like Artistic, they ripped easy. I really liked Brandford Exchange, but only the first time customers get good deals. I was told that the best offers are in the printed advertisements that come in the Sunday papers, unless you can find one of the codes on google. I didn't like Imagge either, so it's a tie between dull Walmart checks at one price all the time and Designer with a good reorder deal and pretty checks.
  13. I had never been in a Target store before, but after reading all these posts, I drove the 60 miles to the nearest one yesterdsay. I needed a bday gift for a 3 year old girl and had decided to get her a Little Mommy high chair at Walmart. I didn't like the store as a whole and found no good sales except in Vday aisle. I stayed there 30 minutes. It was 90% off and I bought all little gd's black shirts with metallic hearts for .60. I bought placemats, dipping shocolate sets, giftbags, shower curtain hooks 1.00, 4 packages of those to use in my little gd's room to hang up her Dora curtains. I spent 20.00 on 90% off stuff. I didn't care for their toys, but bought a SLittle Posy garden bench for my gd3 instead of a high chair. I loved all their little girl gardening stuff. I guess I couldn't find the clearance and I looked everywehre.
  14. Menards has some nice patio furniture in their weekly ad.
  15. I would never go with laminate. It is just a picture glued on the floor and will wear off. Also it gives when you walk. I was in a house with laminate flooring and kept thinking i would fall through when i walked. It also is complicated to lay.
  16. For our new kitchen we used the solid oak 2 inch planks and it cost us about 1000 dollars for a 12 by 12 room. It was a pain to nail down, because it was liike putting a jigsaw puzzle together with lots of leftover little pieces. It came from Home Depot and was pretty reasonable. We did our dining room a few years ago and went with the 12 by 12 solid oak parquet tiles. They were wonderful. They look like lots of little strips put together and you can lay them in a design. They have a wire under them to make them flexible and they can be glued over an existing floor unlike the planks which have to have a new sublflooring. If you need to replace one it can be done easily. It was about .88 cents apiece and cost about 300 for the whole room and is still solid oak.they also came from Home Depot.
  17. 75% off won't get you 2.99 fleece at Joann's. I bought abouot 20 yards at xmas to make my 6 grandchildren hooded bathrobes. It was between 12.99 and 15.99 to starst. They did hve some flimsy solids for 10.99, so it would be about 2.99. Walmart also is clearancing their fleece. I also bought fleece on ebay before. Some powersellers have that quantity.
  18. I agree on spendint 1,000 throughout the years, which is why we made the decision 20 years ago to buy our Filter queen . The advantage over a Central Unit, is we can take it outside and vacuum the car, the horse trailer, the camper. We only empty abaout once a month, but it has been our best purchase decision.
  19. I have a Dell Preferred Account. How do you join and whast is EPP
  20. I'm in Central Illinois and our County Market and the closest Walmarts both have them and they still have lots left. Last year about 3 or 4 months later, Aldi's had the Pillsbury Ones for .17 a box. I bought a case and if you don't want them to be Holiday you just leave out the sprinkle packet.
  21. I ordered my ds12 a Jack Hoodie in small for xmas next year. a Jack shirt for Easter basket and one just to have three total for 20 shipped.. I went back on and used my gmail email address to open another account and ordered him another shirt in youth large and my ds 24 girlfriend a shirt also for 7.00 shipped. No problems at all and used the 10 code both times. The email I got from them said sale is over today, so I am glad I signed up for emails. The first order I placed, they had 28 pages of tops.By the time I placed second order was down to 18 and by the time it was finished was down to 14. But I have all year to stock up for xmas.
  22. Don't know why anyone would pay thousands. Our furnace brand new without ac ws only 550. My parents just built a new house and bought one with ac from the lumberyard and it was only about 950. Of course that 's put in yourself, but it's not a big chore. My husband did it in a day so did my dad.Ours is a Heil, which my husband swears is the best although most people would say a Trane is.
  23. I have owned a Filter Queen for 20 years. I know 1,000.00 is a lot but for never having to buy another one that's great. We bought it because I have allergy caused asthma and you can plug them in and they are a room filter. They have so many neat attachments. I have had to buy parts occasionally, but I picked up one at a garage sales for 5.00 and used it for parts, then when I needed a hose I bought it off ebay and they sent me a big box of all their attachments. I have a air nebulizer, a shampooer, some of them I don't know what they are. The seller said the vaccuum was blown away in hurricane katrina and this was all that was left. It picks up much more dirt than a regular vacuum. I can see it when I dump the canister. Like the salesman said you get what you pay for.
  24. My son is 12 and he still rides a 20 inch. I have a 26 myself and I barely fit. There is no way he could ride it without doing some injury to himself in a bad spot. I have 6 grandchildren and the three older ones all ride 20 inch. A 24 is possible, but you can go right in Walmart and try them out. My son rode his up and down the aisle.
  25. We also have a double pillow top and can flip both ways. We have a Bemco and it was 500 at our local discount furniture store. My mom only buys Bemco. I have also had Serta and they weren't too bad.
