Of course these promotions exclude anything I'm remotely interested in using such a discount on. smh lol
-
I'm watching but man, they don't do many discounts on those Sonys. I've had my eye on the X800E/X900E since last fall and the price hasn't really moved, even though the F series sets are out now. That said, I'm definitely keeping an eye out.

That's definitely a great way to do it, Kanyon.

You're in the direct hit line. Your cousin will most certainly understand if you cannot attend the wedding. (Though I completely understand that you are bummed about the possibility.) Florence is nothing to mess with. Do what you can to secure your property. Be ready to evacuate with your cats, if need be. Your life and that of those you love, furry and otherwise, is far more important, even, than a family wedding. Check out petswelcome.com or bringfido.com for lists of hotels and other lodging that is pet friendly if you do need to evacuate and you're not sure who will accept your furry family. Stay safe and check in with family/friends (including us!) when you're able to let them know you're safe. My prayers are with you and all in the path of Florence's wrath. Hang in there.

Gotta pick the popular choice, Harbor Freight, but I'll say 10/1. Thanks for all the fun contests, Brad -
So sorry about the loss of your furbaby... I know that pain far too well. Only twice? lol

We miss you up here in the Mitten, Kanyon! Bet you won't miss the cold weather, though! lol

Interesting... -
Waiting to see what TV/laptop deals will pop this year. My laptop appears to be on its last legs and I don't want to be computerless! lol Other than that, not much I'm on the hunt for, save for new (smaller) clothes for myself, as I keep shrinking out of mine! (YAY!)

The shirts look great, Brad! [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL

Here’s my most recent side-by-sides. Left is mid-January (at the beginning), right was about a week ago. [bathroom selfies at work are easiest for me to do... lol] Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL

I've been watching the TVs closely this year, as I have been considering a 4k since last year's BF. That said, the price watching has been interesting. I've also, by not rushing into the purchase, allowed myself to really scout out the various models in store for picture quality, overall appearance, and actual physical measurements to make sure the TV I ultimately buy will be one I can be happy with for at least a solid 3-5 years without breaking the bank to get it. i.e. - I love the Sony 900 series but... Yeowch on those prices! Soooo... I've been looking at other brands/models/etc to find one that will be comparable without quite so much pain in the wallet. Haven't really been doing too much shopping outside of my TV hunt, but I'm always curious to see what amazing deals come out of nowhere, either on BF or in the weeks leading up to it.

Happy September! My favorite orchard opened for the season on Saturday and I went straight out there for apples and fresh orchard doughnuts. I hit at just the right time, as the ones I got were STILL WARM! YUMMMMMM!!! Well worth saving my "cheat" for. Update on my weight loss progress - I am down SIX pant sizes since I started in mid-January and I am halfway to what my doctor and I have agreed should be my goal weight. Feeling great and finding the longer I'm doing this, the easier it's getting (it's becoming routine) and the more ways I'm finding to make different things and truly enjoy my food even more than I did when I was eating all the junk I thought I loved. I'll post up a side by side set of pictures when I get a chance a little later. For now, off to a "Monday" morning meeting.

Wasn't me. I know I missed the cut. (DARN IT!!!) lol

After about 10 years, I'll need glasses to correct my up close vision (which currently is very good), so I guess you could say my condition will reverse. It's apparently the nature of my eyes. Lasik is easily a couple grand and my insurance won't cover the doctor I'd want to go to for it, so it would be completely out of pocket. When my contacts + solutions run me roughly $400 over 5 years (and half of that is covered by insurance), not worth it to me for only 10 years' worth of benefit.
-
I just got new gas perm contacts again this year (mine typically last a few years at a time) and told my doc I'd been thinking about LASIK. Doc says I'd be a good candidate but that, given my vision, it would probably only buy me 10 years of "no glasses" time. Gave that some more thought, did some cost-benefit analysis, decided to skip it. Just not financially worth it to me right now, especially when the contacts don't really bother me. I do keep an eye on pricing and such now, though, just in case I change my mind.

No Kmart left near me. Agree with Kanyon. Sad times.

Is that all? Well then... Black Friday I wait Your deals always entice me Where is the first ad?

Still bummed I missed a month and am now out of the club, but rules are rules (and it's all good). Still figure I'll pop in and say hello while I have a quick minute, though. I've been working 15-18 hour days this past couple of weeks and I'm about out of gas, energy-wise, as a result. Can't tell you how excited I am that I can sleep in Saturday morning (I hope)... Side note: It's Miracle Treat Day at DQ today! Perfect excuse to have a Blizzard! (I'm definitely considering using my "cheat" on one tonight!)

I'm glad it isn't just me. This is obnoxious. Got some deals that were supposed to have already started that I was hoping to get out of the way quickly. Best laid plans... lol -
So I totally missed June and I know I'm out of the cool kids' club. So mad at myself! Gah! June was just nuts, though, (nothing bad, just super busy!) and was gone before I realized I hadn't been around here. Anyway, had to check back in and let everybody know I'm still alive over here. I'm now down over 75 pounds and still going strong. My 5k time is consistently staying under 45 minutes (big achievement for me) and I'm feeling so much better these days. Still have a ways to go but the progress is showing. Hope all my fellow GD'ers are doing well and gearing up for Prime Day today. I'm catching up on the latest on this quickly so I can add some wishlist things in case they end up being part of the sale.

Find Michael Waltrip during his infamous "grid walk"? lol
-
Yes! Both race weekends, actually. That's why I'm headed that way!
-
Yep. Pretty much. At least the weather outside is awesome and I was able to get out and enjoy during my lunch break.

Just got told I need to have my cube packed up for a move before I leave for Charlotte next week. Nothing like short notice... Happy Monday everybody! smh lol
