  1. Stores to close in Wisconsin are in Northern Milwaukee, Bever Dam and Fond du Lac. Whew, not the one by me.
  2. Dang! I hope my local store stays open.
  3. Honestly I didn't ask for anything - so their offer of $25 voucher is probably their lowest refund. However, it isn't even enough for one person to bump up to business class. That is a $40 to $80 additional cost. Now had I asked for a specific refund, that might have produced a different amount from them. (Just trying to give the company the benefit of the doubt.)
  4. UPDATE*** I heard back once again from customer service. They are sorry for the inconvenience, they do not annouce to their passengers if there is going to be a pet on board (max of 3 animals per flight) and they are giving us a voucher for $25 to use by April of next year towards another flight. I still have to write back to them and thank them for their time. We might use the voucher, not sure yet. I am also going to suggest to them that they do announce to their passengers before boarding that animals will be on board and if anyone is allergic to please let them know. Bargaingal - I suggest to you that if your daughter has asthma that you inform the crew just before boarding so you can try to change seating arrangements if a pet is on board and seated near you. Who knows, if coach is full you might get a free bump up to business class. I hope you have a good trip in June!
  5. The Target flyer in my Sunday paper has an Aussie Gas Grill for $99. I am in south central Wisconsin. Check your local Target as I didn't see this grill listed on their web page.
  6. From my shopping this weekend - Memorex desk top stereo $29.00 (orig. $60), DVD recorder $20, woman's Jeans $5.
  7. UPDATE.... I finally received an e-mail back from a representative at AirTran. They were requesting more information. I e-mailed them back the info requested and I am in wait mode again. I give them kudos for CS on apologizing for the delay in their response and for their response in general. Hopefully I will hear back from them again soon. Phillygirl - thanks for the info from the agent pov. I don't object to small animals on planes. In fact the cats were very quiet until our landing. I am just wondering if airlines post their policy regarding infoming passengers of animals or if it is up to the passengers to inform the airlines of all their allergies/medical conditions? I can see that it should be an almost 50/50 partnership in this notification.
  8. I have found that they do mark down the patio furniture around memorial day and then it goes up again with another sale after the 4th. If you are interested in getting something specific be sure to keep your eye on it. Maybe even checking if it is on sale on-line and ordering it there. I just purchased the 3 burner Amana gas grill for $50 off! That is the lowest I have ever seen it go on sale (I have been watching it for a year). Apparently the gas grills are sold year round, even in snowy Wisconsin. So they don't do a seasonal discount. Good luck in getting a deal on your furniture.
  9. Krissy, we were warned by our travel agent that if we booked with Air Tran that they often change their flight times. Fortunately we didn't have that problem. Both flights left on time and both flights arrived at the destination airports early. I was very impressed with that. I hope you aren't out any money if you have to switch.
  10. MandaJo - I can see how it would seem confusing because I didn't really say what my H was experiencing throughout the flight. Fortunately his allergic reaction to the cats wasn't life threatening like Tokanm's friend's child's nut allergy, but my H was very uncomfortable throughout the flight - sneezing, watery eyes, plugged nose, itching, etc. At first we figured he had picked up a cold, but the cats yowling under our butts told us what the real culprit was.
  11. Midwest is my favorite too. I always look to see what their pricing is first. This time Air Tran was lowest by almost $100 per person. I would fly Air Tran again if I knew what their pet policy was with regards to notification to other passengers.
  12. how do you get on the mailing list for this?
  13. ms mckenna - sometimes the big companies don't realize that the smallest gestures are what counts. You deserve an apology and it is too bad you didn't get one.
  14. Illnoismom, we didn't realize that there were cats there until the plane actually touched down. It was a bumpy landing and the cats started yowling. At that point we were 5 minutes from getting off the plane and the crew couldn't have done a thing for us. Had we know sooner we would have requested to be moved to different seats (there were some empty ones available).
  15. My main question to their customer service department was if they have a policy to inform passengers if pets are placed below their seats. I was basically hoping for an answer back from them so that we can keep that policy in when we purchase plane tickets in the future. 99% of the crew and employees that we encountered during our trip were upbeat, happy and very accommodating. If it isn't policy for them to inform passengers of pets on board, then the crew did nothing wrong and we will fly another airline in the future. I have no problem with doing that and they have no obligation to me. You are right Mudchevy, it comes down to customer service. So far they aren't doing well in that department by ignoring my e-mail.
  16. Sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience. It is terrible when you get treated poorly during what should be a happy time (vacation). I really didn't expect any compensation, but I would like to get a response from the company - at least that would show me what their customer service is like. Apparently from your experience I shouldn't hold my breath until I get a response.
  17. Has anyone had to deal with Air Tran airlines customer service department? My H and I just returned from a vacation and on the flight home the passengers behind us had their pet cats as carry-on luggage. No problem there, except my H is allergic to cats and they were placed directly under our seats without our knowledge. I sent an e-mail to Air Tran customer service the next day and the auto reply said I should get a response within 72 hours. It has now been 24 hours longer than that - and I anticipate waiting until Sunday before attempting to contact them again. Any one had any dealings with this company? Anything I should expect? Ask for? Do? All help and suggestions are appreciated.
  18. If you look on the site under "catalog" you will see the options. Gift Cards, calendars, books, video games, DVD movies are pretty standard. Sometimes they will add other items until that item is gone.
  19. I finally got a survey for 1,500 points! YEA! This was also posted on their web page
  20. I finally got an invitation to join. I completed the surveys on their main page. How soon will I receive more survey invites?
  21. It took me a minute or two to figure it out! April Fools to the mods and admins at Gottadeal. I love your site!
  22. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=104005 With coupon it is $114. Check out this thread.
  23. The flyer in my Sunday paper has the Nintendo DS lite system at Target for $119. It is only $10 off, but it is about the only time I have seen it at a reduced price.
  24. H and I were out shopping last night and I made him stop at Home Depot so that I could talk with the department manager to get some info about the patio furniture. Guess what!!! They had the Dana Point set in stock and set up! WTF?!!! I just called last week and they didn't have it, nor did they know when it was coming in. Since the patio furniture takes up such a large space in their store I find this hard to believe. The positive is that I did get to sit in the chairs and check out the table. We both loved the set and are getting it on Monday.
  25. Thanks, maybe I will have to call the store again to see what they know.
