  1. Well, I hope it's not a total fake there are a few things at prices I really want. That being said there was no "WOW" factor to the ad. I was really suprised, so I wouldn't be suprised if they came out w/ something more in the end.
  2. I'm sure it will be Walmart followed by either TRU or Target. Then we usually hit up the mall after that.
  3. OKay-- a few questions-- what stores did not do pre-orders?? Meaning where might it pay off to go wait in line. Did Walmart do preorders? And will they release it at midnight?
  4. There was definetly one year- either last year or 2004 it opened at 4am. I remember it because we were able to go there before any other store was open.
  5. Where we live we don't get the shopping ad's in the papers, even on Sunday's. Nor do we get the Walmart ad in the mail. This one get's me because we are 8-10 miles from a Walmart. My mom who is 20 miles from a Walmart gets the ad's as does my sister too who is around the corner from mom. Anyhow, we have to go about 1/2 hr to get the paper that will have the ad's in it. Traditionally, it was that the actual Thanksgiving day paper had the sale ads. Last year though- it didn't have quite a few. My grandmother said there had been a few in the paper each night that week. I love seeing the ad's here, however, there is nothing quite like having the ad in hand. Also, kind of need them to PM at Walmart. Anyhow, anyone know when the ad's might be out that week. Thanks.
  6. I got the toy book in the Sunday paper too. Went to my Target yesterday quite a bit of the items were nowhere to be found- they didn't even have an empty spot on the shelves for them. I was really aggrivated.
  7. Our 24 hr Walmart closes too, then reopens at the specified time. I got all excited thinking maybe they were rolling back to 4am opening....

    Disney Store

Didn't the Disney Store open at 4am last year? Will that happen again this year anyone know?
  9. Yeah- 10% wasn't enough for me to drive the 50 minutes to the closest Kmart. However, does anyone know if the Sear's one will be also doing any of the BF sales this year?
  10. I was looking on the site for Grove City- which is doing the midnight opening. They had some sales for stores already listed. I'm sure many will be the same from outlet to outlet but might be worth looking at. Here's what I found on the website: Bass Outlet 40% entire store 11/24-11/26 Early Bird 50% off entire store until 11am Fri-Sun (of course these are all BF weekend) Geoffrey Beene 40% off entire store Fri-Sun Early Bird Extra 10% off purchase of $10 or more to 11am Fri-Sun Harstrings 20% off entire purchase midnight-6am 11/24 only 15% off entire purchase 6a-10am 11/24 only 10% off entire purchase rest of weekend through Sun. Izod 40% off entire store Fri-Sun Early Bird extra 15% off $50 or more purchase to 11am Fri-Sun Van Heusen 40% off entire store Fri-Sun Early Bird extra 10% off to 11am Fri-Sun Wilson's Leather Outlet 20% off entire store until noon 11/24 only **Seems most sales are running all weekend.
  11. We too don't usually go to Sear's until we hit the mall after doing the free-standing stores.
  12. He wants a brad nailer???? He doesn't do any "big" jobs around the house. I'm thinking maybe some molding. I'll have to double check w/ him. I know he mentioned for the tires too. I don't really know I'm thinking it's just so he can say he has it.
  13. We don't get the ad.....I have to see it on here. We live 10 miles from a Walmart and they don't do the ad's here. My mom lives 25 miles from one and she gets them. I don't get it.....anyhow, she is usually good about saving it for me.
  14. DH has been saying a lot he'd like an air compressor. I think he wants it to get the air nail gun thingy to go w/ it. Is there a certain size air compressor I'd need to get for that?? Is the $79.99 one a good deal? Any insight would be great.
  15. He'll be 14 right after Christmas. He has a GBA he never touches. However, some of his friends have the PSP and all their sporting games are always over an hr away-- and he wants it for the bus.
  16. Grove City and Rochester would be a hike apart. At least 2+ hrs driving time. There are some outlets near Rochester that might be a bit better if you're going to be in that area. The Grove City outlet will be opening at midnight. I do think it will stay busy all day. Heck finding parking their on a Saturday can be difficult, I imagine it will be crowded for the entire day BF.

    PSP Question

Just found out tonight my son would like one of these for Christmas w/ games and all the bells and whistles of course. Anyhow- are they old enough now anyone thinks there'd be a chance of seeing these on sale BF?
  18. You cannot use the coupons w/ these sales. It's in the fine print in there. Coats and priced right items are excluded from the sale- but clearance items are included.
  19. Got the email this morning. Starting today through the weekend Fashion Bug is running their B1 get1 for $1.00 sale.
  20. I usually get $100 the last non-pay week before Christmas. So, it's within 2 weeks of Christmas. However, every year we never know if we're getting them because the company isn't doing so hot, but they always seem to come through. Now dh's isn't called a Christmas bonus either. His company has a "longevity bonus". You get "X" amount of dollars for each year you've worked there. It's like $250 for less than 1 yr, $500 for 1-2 yrs, $1000 for 2-3 yrs, then it goes up $1000 each yr until you cap out at $10,000. They release these checks within the first 2 weeks of December. So, I put off as many bills as I can so I have as much money as I can from our regular paychecks for BF.
  21. I am so thinking of going to Grove City at midnight. Figure we can stay for about 3.5 hrs- then head to Erie for TRU, Target, Walmart, ect... I just don't know though-- it's a 1hr 45 min drive just for us to get to Grove City. So, I really want to know if it's going to be worth it. Since this is a newer concept (only a few did last year) doesn't seem as if anyone really knows if the deals will be that good. We're already headed there Vetran's Day weekend to officially start our holiday shopping.... decisions..decisions!!
  22. I went tonight. Our Old Navy had 1 rack of men's items and 1 rack of women's items. For $0.97 and $1.97. Lots of baby/toddler/kid's clearances but nothing under the $4.97 mark. So, I couldn't strike out there. I got ds a pair of jeans for $1.97. Then also got him a wallett for $4.9x. Then I got my nephew a shirt for Christmas to go w/ a hat I bought him for $4.97. I was happy w/ the prices but would of loved some really big deals!!!
  23. My sister and I go together. My mom works every BF- but she could take off. She is the manager w/ the most senority at her place of work. So, it does irk me a little when her excuse every year is she has to work. However, we usually do make some effort to get the things she wants. It's funny though cause she'll give me a list and money for the things for my sister's family, then she gives her a list and money for the things for me and my family. We both know and see what is being bought......we usually do the if you see grab it method especially when it's opening at Walmart and such. Also, my grandma usually wants 1 or 2 things. She's in her 80's very frail, wheelchair bound, and on oxygen 24/7. I don't think she'd make it through BF- so we also try to get what she wants as well.
  24. I'm in that area. Anyhow, we always do the first morning thing. Then I usually come home for a nap and go back out in the evening.
  25. I also think PS2 will be a good deal that day. Now, I don't think the new items will be doorbusters. They might be in the ad, but I think they'll be everyday low price-- things like FP camera, Elmo TMX, and the PS3. They are just too new.
