Well, in our area if you want one of their hottest items, you better get there by 2-3am. It seems. There is usually at least a few hundred people in line within 90 minutes of opening. Seems they carry enough stock on most items but inevitably there is always a handful of items that are very limited.

I'm not going to sit at home to run to Walmart every 2 hours. I think most are like me- and Walmart will only hurt themselves w/ that plan of attack. My BIL works in the stock room at Walmart. I've been bugging him if he know's anything- he say's he's been on the lookout- but hasn't seen any 1 single thing in particular come in that was such a high volume.

Most stores will run some sale. I know Aeropostale usually has a really good sale on BF. Pac Sun usually run's something too. I don't remember what though. I just know last year I saved nearly $60 off my purchase.

OMG, when I was miserable about getting up so early for work today.....on the ride here I was thinking it's so funny I was tired, crabby, and so miserable about going to work (I like my job, but I was up late and I'm so tired). Anyhow, I was thinking- 2 weeks from today- I'll of gotten less sleep after making Thanksgiving dinner for 12 and being up late-- and yet I'll be up w/ a smile on my face headed out that door.

Target doesn't do Doorbusters.

I am so happy---- also so excited to see all the new ad's when I logged on this morning (I just checked yesterday). Anyhow- the Guitar Hero pack- I was happy w/ that at $109 but I'll definetly be trying to get it for $85.00.

No- GC's they are out. Nobody really know's anything about them. I almost thought of doing stockings filled w/ candy's and maybe a few little gadgets (the girl would be easy for little thing's for a stocking)--- the boy's I'm thinking along the lines of putting into a stocking those metal chain puzzles w/ candy and such- something like that????

We got snow yesterday and today too!!! I'm not a big fan though. I like it only around Thanksgiving and Christmas- then it can stay away.

Okay in my husband's family they all buy for my son (my husband's step son) as he's the only child (14 yrs old) from that generation. My husband or his cousin's (all 30-40's) have kids. So, all the aunts, uncle's, and cousins buy for my son and have since he was 4yrs old. So, his one cousin is now engaged to a man who has 3 kids. I met this kids on Easter for about 2.2 seconds. They will be at the Christmas dinner this year though. I want to get them each something around $10.00. Since everyone there (including this cousin will buy for my son). So this is the info I got on them- 2 boy's one is 16 or 17 the other is 12 or 13, and 1 girl who is 9 or 10. No interests- nothing. So, what is a generic, nice, but inexpensive gift I can give them. I don't wanna do gift cards because then they'll know exactly what I spent. I'd like it to be $10ish- but look $15ish

I only have 1 child (14 yrs old) so no problems there. I do only have 1 neice and 1 nephew though. We try to keep their budget within $30 of each other- and get them same amount of gifts to make sure it's even. (Might sound silly- but we do little Christmas for them- usually around 6-10 gifts each)

I was thinking the same thing- no good ad's yet.

I'll have to be sure to buy the Sunday paper then!!! Thank you!

Right around Nov 20th we have 2 radio stations that will go all Christmas music all the time until 12/26. So, that will probably be when I truly start. Now, I've enjoyed going to our one local grocery store had some on 2 nights ago- and I just stood and listened. My husband and I twice last week got into rounds of christmas carols while doing our chores- so I'm chomping at the bit.

Well, it really will depend on the sale items. If there isn't anything that I have to have that is going to go fast- I'll only arrive at the store about 4:45am. If I need to wait in line it could be much earlier.

My MIL (been w/ her son 10yrs- married 8yrs) gets me about 1/2 of what she gets my husband. He's an only child. My parents always did the same for my husband and my birthday (they are one day apart)-- but for Christmas it was always a joint gift. W/ a "small" individual gift for my husband and a "medium" individual gift for me. My parents did the same for my sister and her husband.

Defintely not going to be snowing here today. It's already sunny and it's supposed to be a relatively warm Halloween evening. My son's 14 and since he's been born we've had quite a few Halloween's w/ snow. So, I'll take a mild one.

Okay- for the Kmart one- how do you find out though where to see what they have??? Is it in the back away from viewing?? I'm very interested now.

Tough call- because my son barely see's my husband's family (my son is from my ex). Though on the holiday's they treat him equal to the other kids there (he's the only step child). It's hard to alienate kids, so I don't think I could do that.

My new job I started this summer is big on Birthday's and Holiday's I'm finding out. It really is out of my comfort zone. But it's a small office and I feel forced to participate. The thing being I'm the only one w/ kids. They are all middle aged- double income no kids-- and have the money. I'm single income (my husband is the stay home dad) and kid's.

2 yrs ago I dumped an entire tray of bread (pumpkin, banana, ect) on top of my 3 yr old neice's head. She's a drama queen to start w/- but it didn't hurt her- and it was an accident. It was just the bread- not the tray- probably about 3 dozen pieces all over her. I've also given my hillybilly MIL's gift to my mom- and my mother's fine jewerly gift to my MIL by accident. You should of seen the looks on the face's. Oh my-- I was stammering.

For us it depends on what we do that day. Sometimes my husband's family has a get together that will last 2 hrs and everyone split's. Other times it goes well into the evening. We've gone to the movies a few times. But usually we play w/ my son's gifts because he goes w/ his dad at noon- until later that night.

Well-I would love pretty much all clothing for Christmas. My dh is good about buying them for me- and he gets about 90% of what I'd buy myself. I pretty much liked getting clothing since I was a pre-teen. My son (15) has asked for a few clothing items. But they are usually things he wouldn't get otherwise.

Best- Too hard to pick- I truly am blessed because my husband gives really good gifts. He had me sobbing the one year because my family never did stockings. At some point I made a comment I always wanted one w/ the little trinkets in it. Well amongst my gifts on Christmas morning was a stocking filled w/ little gifts and a special card from him. Worst- Anything my MIL get's me. She's given me a used (hairspray caked) blow dryer stand. She's bought a 6 pack of plain white socks- takes 4 prs out for herself- and gives me the other 2 pairs as my Christmas gift. My husband and I got our gift already this year-- a portable shower. Yep you blow it up (like a pool raft) and you can shower anywhere in your own private stall. Ummmmm...I do have indoor plumbing. She gave it to us a few weeks ago. You should of seen my husband and my eye's darting back and forth seeing who HAD to open it- because neither of us wants to be the first to see and fake joy.

I usually am about 1/4 of the way done here. BUT...I haven't even started yet this year. We are moving on 11/8 and I've just been too busy. The house we're moving into-- we gutted ceilings, walls, floors, cupboards, counters, sinks, pretty much EVERYTHING. Well we had 8 weeks to remodel and move- and we're in the final countdown now. So, there's been no time for shopping unless it's at Home Depot .
