  1. You got snow???? Wow-- I'm in Buffalo-- so not too far in the big scheme of things- and we've gotten no snow yet. Last year was a green, green, green Christmas- and I am hoping that it snow's for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Other than that the snow can stay away.
  2. I've been lucky. I was at my last job for 10 yrs- and we were alway's closed BF. I started a new job this year-- and one of my first thoughts was about BF (I can't believe I admitted that). Anyhow-- my new job is also closed w/ pay for BF!!!
  3. What stuff do they usually have? We've got a handful around here, but I've never seen their ad for BF.
  4. Actually I thought this looked like a pretty decent ad-- the B1G1 TV Series Set's will be good..
  5. Now, our Sear's was really bad about refusing to price match any doorbusters (even if it were the correct hours) last year.
  6. We have literally no real clearance at either store. There is 1/2 an aisle at each-- and those items are the same one's that have been there for months and months-- there are a few things that are at least going on 1yr sitting on the shelf. Then again our Target never get's the good clearance deal's you hear about on here either. My stores must ship to somewhere else.
  7. Sleep then shop some more!!!! :) Usually it's up at 3am to be to a line by 4am. Shop until around 2-3pmish. Then go home- nap and eat leftovers until around 7pm. Then it's usually back out until 11pm. You'd be suprised how many more item's you can find later on that were gone in the morning.
  8. I emailed- cannot call until I get home from work later. But I sent an email from me and my husband off of each of our email accounts. I also asked my inlaw's to do the same.
  9. Well, for me this could affect my decision to even go there. I mean-- I live within 15 miles of not 1 but 2 Walmarts. Yet, I don't get the Walmart ad's because we're a walking route. They don't come in our local newspaper. SO--- unless I see the BF ad here-- I won't know what is on sale. I think it's ridiculous.
  10. Wow- I got excited- not realizing there was an Underarmor outlet- but seeing that the prices are still as high--not so excited. My son loves their items- and usually only gets a few a year because the cost is just outrageous.
  11. Mine is BF (11/23) this year too :) !!! BF- the best birthday gift!!! My husband's is the day after. His was BF last year.
  12. I doubt it will work out w/ the sister in that amount of time-----ironically-- the whole thing is over something I don't understand. My sister and parents are very judgemental people (very, very) and very critical of anything I do. Alway's have been. Anyhow, they barely talked to me from Feb-early summer. Then haven't spoken w/ me since early summer when I kind of "blew up at them". I lost it because they were giving me and my husband the silent treatment. Oh, they'd invite us to things then go out of their way to not speak to us. They go on their high horse because- and I'll be honest-- we lost our home in foreclosure earlier this year. Honestly- it was for the best-- our finances are so much better-- and there was nothing at the time I could do to stop it. Well, my parents said they were ashamed and they were embarassed-- and my sister too. Ummm... yes we did lose it because my husband quit his job--- well he quit his job because he worked out of town- and he was gone 24-28 days a month. We were headed for divorce because we were both so miserable. Now he had to take a job making 1/3 the money- and we just couldn't afford that house. Maybe we were right, maybe we weren't. BUT....this is truly the reason my family stopped speaking w/ me....they were embarassed and felt we were dead wrong. I don't see where you stop speaking to your family over something like that. But like I said they are very judgemental. Oh, and my marriage couldn't be better w/ my husband being home every night....we are as much in love as we were before he took this job a few years ago-- so it was worth it. As for BF--- I am very excited. It will be an all cash holiday this year- and we'll be able to do it. We've been budgeting and saving and it should be a lot of fun. I cannot wait- though have no clue what I'm getting our son. He's almost 15 and hasn't said 1 thing he'd like yet. On the upside- I guess my gift list is cut in 1/2 this year w/o them speaking to me.
  13. My husband doesn't like to shop- but on regular day's he'll go along w/ me- as he say's "just to be w/ me spending time". He really doesn't like crowds and overflowing parking lot's though. He's being pretty sympathetic about my estrangement (if you will)--- knowing the holiday's are coming- and things won't get better-- and we always spent all holiday's w/ my family. He's really trying to go the extra mile for me.
  14. I've been working on my budget to be sure I can squeeze 1 whole check (which is 1/2 our holiday budget anyhow) for nothing but BF in that week.
  15. Well, after a series of falling out's over the last 8 months-- looks like I will not be doing my BF w/ my partner in crime, my sister. We've gone every year for the last 14 yrs together- through snow storms, forecasted blizzards, subzero temps, her w/ severe morning sickness. All of it. Unfortunately, my family is not speaking to me too much over a series of misunderstanding's. So, my husband said he'd go w/ me on BF this year (which also happens to be my birthday). So, wish me luck. He's driven us twice in the past and did Walmart in the past to help us carry heavy items-so he's alittle aware of what to expect. Plus w/ it being my birthday I know he'll be on his best behavior towards me (even w/ the crowds). So, here goes nothing- maybe it's a new tradition!!
  16. We left Kohls w/o our purchases last year. The lines were wrapped the entire perimeter of the store-- literally the back of the lines wrapped around and surpassed the front of the line. It was crazy- it was our 3rd stop- and many in line said they were in line for close to 90 minutes-- that early on BF morning- that's too much wasted time for other sales.
  17. Actually got it in my email tonight---so I'm happy. We're buying a Troybilt--not John Deere---the JD is in the exclusions but not anything else about mowers, tractors, or Troybilt brand.
  18. Looking around on Ebay---seems most Lowe's will accept Home Depot coupons???? If this is true---then I have one mailed in my name (w/ my name on the coupon) for 10% off up to $2000.00 at Home Depot. So anyone use competitor's coupons at Lowe's?? If my purchase is over $2000.00 will they give me the discount on the first $2000.00? I guess I can call too, but I just wanna know if anyone has any expierence first.
  19. I have to purchase a new lawn mower/tractor this week. Lowes has the best price so far. Anyone have a link to a lowes coupon??? Anything would be good. Percentage even better. I found one I signed up for that can take 7days-4weeks to get---???? It was for 10% off. Gotta make the purchase within a week though. It should run about $3000 so it would be a good time to use a coupon.
  20. I guess the Border's thing makes sense in our area then. They are putting a new Border's in just 1/8 of a mile from the mall.
  21. I didn't get this one either, I'll have to ask my sister, she usually gets them ever since she bought me a gift card there. I did get a 20% off your entire purchase for in store use, it came as a "thank you" for my recent on-line order during that Bra/panty deal. I also still have 1 of the $25 gift cards from the holiday's when if you spent so much you got them. I gotta go shop now!!!
  22. One of our local Walden Books is closing. I don't know if this is true of other locations. I know there are some other posters on this forum from my area- so if anything maybe this will help them. It's the one at the McKinley Mall in Hamburg, NY. They have 40 % of all regularly priced merchandise Then an additional 75% off any clearanced books- I'd say 30% of the store has been clearanced. 75% off all calenders and 75% off all local interest books. My husband likes "paranormal studies"- I got 3 books of local paranormal interests for $8.xx.
  23. I went today- I got myself 2 tank tops and 2 short sleeved shirts for spring. Total was $11.xx. The one was a green tagged- final price item and the cashier manually gave me an extra 40% off that one too.
  24. I hit up Target today- they had next to no toys left at clearance prices. I went up and down every toy aisle too to see if anything was mixed in. They had 1 endcap at 75% off and that was it for toy clearance's. On a side note though, they did have a lot of overall clearance merchandise. I did see they had a a girls 24 inch mountain bike and a women's 26 inch mountain bike on clearance for $36.78. These were right in w/ the regular bikes. Only the price tag in front of them was much lower- but it didn't stand out. I did pick up a Disney Princess and Finding Nemo towel sets for $2.28 marked down from $10.xx. I also picked up Disney Princess flannel sheet sets for $4.24 marked down from $19.xx. They had Disney Cars sets too. The other thing I noticed there were tons and tons of shoes at 75% off. Almost 3 full aisles. Most winter boots were only $5 & $6 each.
  25. Well, I'm headed to Old Navy first tomorrow- so I'll have to swing by here when I'm done.
