Just saw an ad on TV that the Toy Catalog will come out this coming weekend and that Toyland opens up on 10/17.

So I think $32 + tax at Big Lots is a good deal.

Is there a Big Lots ad somewhere? I looked on Amazon and Googled some reviews. Some people complained that the doors do not stay on. Edit to add: I went to Big Lots and picked one up and used the 20% off coupon. It came to $33.xx w/tax. I think my 3 yr old will like this.

That toothbrush thing grosses me out with how everyones toothbrush has to touch it.

A battery free year would be nice.

I saw the V. Smile pocket on clearance today at Walmart for $30. I didn't look to see what came with it though.

Also the Vtech games work in the pocket version and also the console vsmile and are usually B1G1. My son has the console and I've always picked up the games during BF for cheap.

This is how I search older ads for specific things: Example: 2008: http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/2008.txt I click on the link to the ad then hit "Control + F" and the Find box comes up. I then enter what I'm looking for such as Vtech. I can then go through each instance where it has shown up at each store and compare prices and see all Vtech items. I hope this helps.

I believe Vtech pockets were $25 at Walmart last year. I bought my middle DS a camera when it was on sale at Kohl's w/ a 30% off code and free shipping after black Friday.

I saw them on clearance this morning for $10 down from $20.

1. In your opinion, what store had the best Black Friday ad last year (2008) and why? I hate to admit it but Walmart had the best ad in my opinion. I went there first and spent the most money there than any other store. 2. What would be your #1 piece of advice to someone totally new to Black Friday? Watch Gottadeal day and night for the best prices/sales on items before Black Friday so you don't have to try and get everything on your list in a few hours. 3. Besides offering great deals, what else can a store do to get you to shop there on BF? Allowing waiting in the store (Walmart did last year) and some type of breakfast/coffee while waiting would be great. Also passing out maps of where everything is located would be great.

I got my oldest ds 4 pair of jeans and my middle ds 2 pants and 5 shirts all for $95 shipped. Only a few more things that are cheaper at Walmart to get for school clothes.

Every year it seems that more is available online so maybe you wont miss out on as much as you would have a few years ago.

My DH does an elaborate Christmas light display. It's always Christmas in his head. LOL Actually he has headphones he listens to the Xmas music he sets the lights to. At least I don't have to hear it all year and still enjoy it in winter.

Does anyone know when Walmart starts there back to school sales for school supplies? We rarely get an ad for Walmart and when I look online for one at their website is says there isn't one available. Thanks
