Just really didn't see anything that we HAD to have like in past years. Even the deals on the Fire devices were no better than I've seen many times.

I've spent nothing yet.

I still prefer TiVo, still has one of the best DVR experiences in my opinion. Down side is the fee that comes with it. They have some sales going on right now.

We had motion controls for all of it and a switch you could physically control the lighting with.

I did under cabinet LED lighting for my in-laws after I redid their kitchen and finished the backsplash. Was pretty cool to be able to control it with Alexa. Last house I flipped I did all LED lighting in the closets that could be controlled by Alexa. Didn’t get to mess with those since I didn’t put an access point or Internet In to sell it. Also did ring for doorbell and nest for HVAC.

Like I said it's all taste. I like Rum but that's a personal thing. I have considered Tequila but I'm not sure that would go well. I don't go by what the FDA says either and a lot of it depends on the size of the beans. I've found they can vary greatly in size lol I really don't care if it's more expensive the stuff from places like McCormick while not bad, don't hold a candle to homemade stuff. My method includes turning the bottle upside down and back up 3-4 times once every week. It helps really distribute and break things up.

So if you want no liquor left over Go for 250ML-350ML (you need a little space at the top of bottle) also get glass not plastic bottled. I prefer rum BUT that's me, many use vodka because it doesn't add any additional flavor. I buy my beans from Beanilla online. I use Madagascar beans (best in my opinion), depending on how many ounces of liquor you have you will put 2-4 beans in it. This is not the cheap way to get vanilla but nothing you buy in a store comes close in my opinion.

You can buy a bottle of whatever alcohol you want to use that’s in line with the size of vanilla you want to make. Heck you can add the beans right to that bottle if you want to.

Problem is that many of them are in not good favor if they do t work that day. That’s from friends who work retail telling.

Should just give it a try. I've thought about one so I can use it with our Ring, but to be honest I rarely use our Echo's with Alexa lol Right now it can't spy on me (not plugged in)

I do mine a couple different ways. I start with 4 to 7 Madagascar Vanilla beans. Split them length wise most of the length (I leave them attached at one end) Insert it a glass Jar that is resealable (I have those pop top jars that look like they are for soda/beer I fill the bottom with either a high end rum or a high end vodka depending on what profile I'm going for (I like what the rum brings to the party flavor profile wise) Tilt the bottle top to bottom 6-8 times and place in a dark cool storage place Once every week remove and shake again Leave it sealed for a minimum of 8 weeks (shaking weekly) I usually do 12-16 weeks minimum. We are going to start a batch of them in August as part of our Christmas presents for some family and wife's co-workers. SOOOOOO much better than the stuff bought in store. Oh and if you want you can use the beans in some sugar once you're done and you have vanilla sugar. BONUS

Should make your own vanilla. That’s what I do. Thinking we may buy some Amazon devices to use as presents this Christmas.
