  1. What ads are you all really looking forward to this year?

We are looking forward to Kohls (we buy a lot of comforters and sheets as presents for various family members.

I’m also waiting to see what BJ’s Warehouse has to offer (we just got a membership there as it’s pretty close to our new house - way closer than Costco or Sam’s)

I’m kinda of interested to see what Game Stop has. Our daughter gets more into games every year so we end up picking up things for her there.

  2. WELP went to the store for some Charmins and no luck. Went to another store and another store and then to another store and I am still toilet paperless AGAIN. Will have to get a substitute but I love the ultra soft ( maybe to mush info).

The warehouse stores have their brands which are like a couple of the major brands. Will say compares to.

  3. I really miss that Best Buy used to be our first store every year. Now they are to the point where sometimes we don’t even go. We would be in line there super early. Then after BB we would head to other places until about 7am at which point we would head to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Then back to shopping until about noon. Then home to unload, maybe a quick nap and then the later stores and possibly another Walmart to see what’s left.

  4. They don't stay at a constant temperature, repairman said the there is problem in all of them because they can't get what ever part it is from china - so they have been trying to make them in the US and are failing! There is NO estimated time the parts will be in stock. they actually had us scrap a $1500.00 GE freezer because of the problem!

Update, Though... The most recent "Crosley Conservator" seems to now be working (fingers crossed). I have transferred about half the food from the chest freezer into it and we have set an electronic monitor in it to alert us of any temperature fluctuations.

Craziness. Hoping there is something that pops up on Black Friday. The freezer part of our fridge is way too small.
  5. For anyone who needs a nice toaster over air fryer combo. I’m looking for one our old one was broken during the move.

"Kalorik MAXX AFO 46045 SS Digital Air Fryer Oven 26 Quart 10-in-1 Countertop Toaster Oven & Air Fryer Combo - Grill, Rotisserie, Dehydrator, Pizza Oven, & More | 1750W | Stainless Steel " https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0872DQV7Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JE3PK676S1ZKN932B2E6

  6. Yes, I have had to step out and try some different things. As a kid you could tell the difference between name brands and off brands but now most are identical if not better.

Some are made by the name brands on the same lines. Then just branded for the stores. There are many things at Alidi we like and some things not so much.

  7. Amazon.com: CANON MX922 INKJET OFFICE ALL IN ONE PRINTER : Office Products

I realize this is an expensive and graying printer, but I have been using one for six years now and it is a workhorse that does everything -- AirPrint, Auto Duplex, Auto Sheet Feeder, Borderless Printing, CD/DVD Printing, Google Cloud Print, Photo Printing.

Ink is less than $1/cart. If you are a Staples Rewards member receiving $2/cart when you recycle, you are LITERALLY printing money.

    Happy shopping, Giz!

I use the same exact printer (have for years) what kills me is I paid $200 or less for the two I bought. Now I’m going to switch to one of the ink tank models they sell when they come down from their crazy prices.

  8. Yep, went for my favorite cheap ceral and it is a dollar more than I usually pay. I could have under stood .25 but a whole dollar....I will pass, off brand here I come

If you have it try Aldi. A lot of their store brand cereal is made by major brands. I liked the PB&an one lol.

I've been seeing less on shelves and what's there, is going up and up in price.

Unfortunately, my printer decided to call it quits and I'm trying to find another (can't wait for BF [emoji24]), and they are more expensive than I think they should be and in short supply. [emoji16]

We need a good one also but I’m not about to pay $300 for it. I’ll either keep up with the lesser one until the insanity stops or stop printing lol

  9. First 3 were GE, 4th was a Frigidaire and 5th is Crosley (NOT a brand we have heard of - but figured we couldn't have even MORE problems) ... WE ARE!!!

What type of problems are you having?

We got an off brand a few years back and had great luck with it. We need another one, we were looking at a Hisense the other day. Figured their TVs have been great maybe the appliances are just as good.
