  1. Now it's cheating if they are the one that submitted the ad.
  2. I plan on leaving around 10-11pm and I probably will not be seen again until 3-4pm. I go get all the early bird deals then go back to stores and do some general XMas Shopping.
  3. Went to two different WalMarts and they had the Guitar Hero Aerosmith Edition (the bundle) on sale for $69, regularly $89. This price was for the Wii and XBox 360 versions.
  4. That's what I thought. I did read about the dollar bid thing plus if you look at the bottom of the page (for an item) there is a shipping charge too. Seems stupid to bid till close to the item end. Looks like it could wither be a hidden gem or a really big mistake.
  5. Apparently it won't matter now, but our CC would honor the online price in the store. I got the Guitar Hero bundle for my younger brothers last year that was $89.99 in store, but $59.99 online. (not bf, it was only a couple weeks till xmas) I went in asked them about it, they looked it up, and said "yes, we can do it for that price". They just checked to make sure it was the price online and gave it to me no questions asked.
  6. Brad has a sponsored ad for www.Swoopo.com on the Black Friday homepage. I have noticed it several times and WOW at the prices that some items go for! The one today says that a Wii went for $25. That's just unheard of. And the other day I noticed that a laptop went for a little over $100. It says on the registration page that the items are all brand new. But what I'm wandering is if anyone has ever used this site before? Are these genuine new, good products (not damaged)? I'm know Brad would never lead us astray, but these prices just seem to good to be true. I was just wandering before I tried it if anyone else ever had.
  7. Our WalMart had Eggnogg a week ago. DH had to seriously fight the urge. I think it's disgusting but he loves it!
  8. You and me both. But mine came from the IRS! We filed an extension this year due to DD being in the hospital for a month when taxes were due. So, we just got our income tax check and our stimulus check back a few weeks ago! I've got money burning a hole in my pocket!!
  9. Well he better take the laptop and the webcam with him if we're gonna see more BlackFriday TV on youtube.
  10. I think that many retailers are holding off on sending their ads out (even to the store managers), because of all the fuss over the ads being leaked early. Dh is a store manager of Black and Decker (put their ad on here one year and believe me it raised a lot of crap), now they don't send the stores their BF sale agendas till around a week before hand. I also have a friend that this year is a store manager for a certain company (won't name in case she gives me the ad) and she has not received any word at all yet about their sales. I'm with all of you though, I want one NOW!!!! It's starting to drive me nuts! I was doing great and going to get through DD's b-day (Oct 23) and Halloween, then worry about BF. But after watching those videos that BigJimSlade posted of previous BF's it was on! Just watching all that mad rush made it all come crashing back!!
  11. At my grandma's we always used to make ornaments out of the colored "pipe cleaners" (don't know what they're actually called). We would use red and what to make a candy cane. Or use green and to make a wreath and use the colored balls to make decorations. Then you can tie string to them and actually hang them up on the tree.
  12. I'm not sure about music, but DH actually said he wanted to watch Home Alone tonight. That's always my first clue that he's ready for Christmas. XMas isn't really the point of the whole story, but it usually seems to only get watched around Christmas here. Of course he is a store manager with a retail company, so he's already hearing Christmas this and Christmas that. Plus I've started really talking about BF this week.
  13. Ditto. I know there will be bunches of line turds that won't care, but if you could help a few it would be nice!
  14. Oh, i didn't know they had to be approved. That's why it wasn't coming up. (Used DH's account to do it so I don't know much about youtube) Mine's on there now. Edit...looks like everyone is telling username (if different from here) Dh's is Jojofilter1.
  15. I am. I hit Post Comment and it just turns the text a light grey color and does nothing else. It says comment pending approval but it's not actually black (looks in use). I tried logging out and logging back in and it tells me I have posted several messages (tried it more than once), but they aren't showing? It let me rate it and favorite it, but won't let me comment on it. UGH:mad:
  16. I'm trying to post a comment and it won't let me for some reason.
  17. ah hah, thanks...i was looking in the wrong place for the answer sorry for the bother
  18. I don't think In three years I've ever had to change a title for a thread I've started. I posted something in the requests, trading, and give forum...and now it's gone. How do I change the title of the thread so everyone else won't have to waste their time. (Though knowing everyone on here they'll still be curious.)
  19. I was in there the other night and DH said it made him want to watch the Jetsons.
  20. I have lots of other jobs for Xmas....personal shopper, wrapper extrodinare, interrior decorater, gourmet pastry chef....but I don't get paid for them.
  21. Sorry, can't help you there. I love Christmas. We do it big, but keep it within reason. I had a big Christmas till my parents got divorced when I was 10, after that it just wasn't that big of a deal. As a kid I loved the big Xmas so that's what I always want my girls to have. Plus it's just something about the season, not just the presents. Maybe if you want to cut back on the presents you could do other holiday events like going riding looking at lights, carroling, Friday night Christmas movies, visiting at a nursing home, or other things. You can find lots of ways to have Christmas cheer without spending lots of money.
  22. I haven't gone XMas shopping yet, though in the last month or so I have picked up some small items here and there. I've got about $100 worth for the girls, plus a few things for other people. I try not to do any "actual Christmas Shopping" till BF. I pick up lots then. I get doorbusters early, then shop for other gifts after the early bird sales.
  23. I hate it! lol I worked at several stores there. DH is a store manager at Black and Decker. FYI, the whole mall is opening at 12am on BF.
  24. Hey all! I'm Miranda, 25. I've been married for 6 1/2 years and I'm a SAHM to 2 beautiful little girls. (You can check out my albums on my profile page to see my sweeties.) Lexi will soon be turning 6 and Kaylie is 2. I've been on GottaDeal for awhile. I lurked in 2004 and finally joined in 2005. I love BF! My aunt turned me on to BF 6 years ago, god rest her soul. She will be greatly missed this year. I see alot of newbies on here so welcome and remember GottaDeal is here all year long, not just through BF!
