I personally have never had a problem with any. At least not yet. I just always make sure to make a copy of all of them and keep them in a file in case I don't receive one.

It's every man/woman for theirself!!! :gdevillaugh: Wear comfortable clothes!! And make sure to have your running shoes on! Also, I always have a list of exactly what I want from each store. And I carry my Christmas list with me. That way if I see something for someone I know if I still need a present for them or not. And when I get them something I can write in down.

Thanks guys! I am sending some gottapoints out to all of you!

I don't know. We've gotten alot of new electronics here lately. So, I guess this year we aren't getting much on BF. And I've already gotten the girls big present (a swing set). So, I'll be looking more for gifts for others.

Anyone have any in store coupons for Babies R Us? I'll give gottapoints for them!! We are about to buy Kaylie a walker and a high chair, not to mention some toys and clothes for X-mas! I'd love to save some money on them!!

Spa gift cards for the ladies! Maybe for a family you could get a GC to a hotel chain or an amusement park? -
Super Walmarts - Do they close for Thanksgiving and then reopen? < merged >

I think it was 5 am last year, though I'm not sure. We usually start at Circuit City. I think most of them don't close, but just keep the "door buster" items hidden until "time". Though, once the ads start leaking Aaron has promised to create an "Official Store Hours" thread, just as he did last year. -
We usually start at Circuit City. Then we hit the mall right next to it. Eventually make it around to Wal-Mart for the all day sales. No way I'd go there first!! Then we hit stores like Wal-Greens, Radio Shack, Target, etc.
-
Yeah, we usually turn it on. It just a tradition kind of thing.

DH and I are wanting to get the girls some box sets of the old cartoons that they have started putting out. The cartoons on tv today just stink! So, we want them to have some of the "classics". Not sure if all of these have been put on DVD yet, but some of the ones we'd be interested in are: The Jetsons The Flinstones The Smurfs Woody Woodpecker Fraggle Rock Really, any of those from that time period would be great! Just wandering if any of you had found any good deals on any of these!
-
Hoodies at Aeropostale for $5?? That's a great deal!! I, myself, love their polos. They fit me better than any other brand. So when they have them for $9.99, I always pick up a couple.
-
My advice is to get reservations if you still want to go. But, if you decide not to go you could try Zoo Atlanta. DH and I love going there. And you still get to see animals, just different ones!
-
What do you already have stashed in a closet or on layaway for your kiddos? We went a few weeks ago and put a swing set on layaway for the girls. Also, we've got a few books and movies that we've found on sale. And we found this little Cheerios dispenser for Kaylie. But that's pretty much it.

Luke's a year old and you've only been twice! You should be ashamed of yourself. TRU, you're asking for a fight. LOL
-
Which store's ad are you the most anxious to see, spend the most time in, and the most money in? For me Circuit City answers all three!! It's always our first stop and we always spend a couple hours in there, not to mention the most money in!
-
We just got all new furniture when we bought our new house in March. Though I will be on the lookout for pictures, frames, candles, & other accessories.
-
Yep!! We saw them way before Thanksgiving!! Though DH still found out when the papers were coming to the store close to our house and got up at around 4 am and got us two.
-
No deal, but some warnings. We live an hour away and we still haven't been. Reason being is it's still packed!!! My dad and stepmother went a couple months ago and said they could barely walk through the place. Also, you need to make reservations. They only give out a limited number of "walk up" tickets a day b/c it's so packed. Most people call and make reservations. We love aquariums and zoos, but with Lexi in her stroller, we don't want that many people bumping into her. So, we're going to wait.

SuperMommy replied to stationchief's topic in 2006
Welcome new members and welcome back to those that were with us last year. It's exciting to see the BF crowd starting to pop up! But remember GottaDeal isn't just a Black Friday site. It's a deals forum that is open all year long. We hope to see some of you sticking around after BF and becoming "regulars"!! BTW, for those that are new- I'm a stay at home mother of two. Miss Lexi will be 4 in October and Miss Kaylie is 5 months old. I am 23 (though somedays I feel 40 ). This will be my 4th BF! See my userpage for pics of my girls! SuperMommy's Page -
Welcome new members! Make yourselves right at home. You will all find great deals, and more than that, a great community here.

I know if you are going to PM items at Circuit City, they make you go through the customer service lines. You can't go through the regular check out lines, so don't waste your time in them!! Just go straight to the customer service lines. Also, you have to have the other ad. They won't just take your word. -
Nope, haven't seen any Christmas stuff yet. I'm trying to get through DD's birthday first.

Oh gosh!! I remember that all too well!! I think I was going through withdrawls.
