  1. Same here...problem is that I have to work also and they frown upon worrying about Woot Offs during business hours. I don't think they quite understand the issue here!
  2. I ended up going to bed, but this morning the Woot Off continues and it does not appear that any BOC's were sold. There's hope yet!
  3. I'm guessing a BOC as well...site's been down for a bit now.
  4. Just beginning to wonder when the next Woot Off was gonna happen.... www.woot.com
  5. So, do the new rates start the 18th or the 20th? I thought I'd read the 18th previously... I'd like to list some things today, but want to make sure I set them up to end before the new rates become effective.
  6. I already posted this in the offline deals section because it was "temporarily unavailable online" when I tried to buy it Sunday...looks like it's back in stock online now. :) Guitar Hero III Bundle for the Wii $69.99...that's $20 off the regular price! http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2792417
  7. I saw this in the Sunday ads and picked it up yesterday at the local TRU. Guitar Hero III Bundle for the Wii $69.99...that's $20 off the normal price ! This one might be available online as well, but when I tried to get it Sunday, it said "temporarily not available online."
  8. Does that include a guitar controller (or) just the games? My son was just begging me to pick this up, but I'll need the controller too.
  9. Has anyone ever bought from Omaha Steaks? Any good?
  10. My kids are not liking this one because they think it's some sort of training game...you have to "practice" all of the games before you get to play any for real. Are they doing something wrong or is that the way the games go for Wii Play?
  11. They are available on Ebay, Amazon, and some other sites, but you're looking at anywhere from $39 to $99 for them (depending on new or used, one or two controllers). I know because I've been looking as well. I found a Pelican brand wireless GameCube controller last night at the local Walmart...it was $19.99! Tried it out on my Wii and it works perfectly. So, if you don't care whether or not it's actually a Wavebird controller, check out Walmart. Good Luck!
  12. Thanks, I ordered it for my kids as they just got the Wii for Christmas. I tried to use the 19% code, but it didn't take for some reason. Cheap enough though without it.
  13. Thank you for the replies and suggestions. I'll be checking them all out! He's in "his room" now drawing some ancient Egypt pictures to frame for his walls. :)
  14. I don't think I've ever purchased from this website before...can you order more than one year up front at the discounted rate?
  15. My youngest son (7) has his own room finally and asked for his room to be about Ancient Egypt. He is very particular and things must be just so, so it cannot be kid looking, has to look like the drawings/pictures in the books he's seen. I found tons of knick knacks, posters, and some nice wall border on Amazon.com, but I'm at a loss for the bedding/curtains with this theme. Anyone know where to look?
  16. That's good news! I can hook everything up just fine, I've just never dealt with wireless for internet or the like. I'm looking forward to my kids getting off of there booties to play the video games instead of just their thumbs getting a workout on the Xbox or PS2. And...I cannot wait to be able to play a new Zelda game!!! Okay, now another question...my son & I were arguing in the car about this one. I know the Wii will play GameCube games. We were arguing about getting the right controller and whether or not it would have to be a wireless controller (as the Wi remotes are wireless) and if there was a wireless GameCube controller. Anyone know??
  17. So I'll need to get a wireless router to play Wii games, or just Mario Galaxy? I'm clueless on wireless anything...any more info is appreciated so my kids don't think I'm a total loser.
  18. I cannot find the Mario Galaxy or the Sonic/Mario Olympics online, but there were a few listed on the website that state they are "as seen in this week's ad" for $37.xx. Gotta go shopping tomorrow anyways, guess I'm stopping by Target now.
  19. If the song/video/software you are trying to download for free is copyrighted material, it's an illegal download. So, basically, if it was ever released on a CD/DVD/Software package and you get it for free, you're not paying the royalties due the copyright holder and are therefore in violation.
  20. I don't know that for sure, but like I said earlier, when we converted our music library, some songs did & some did not convert. We had a lot of Walmart song downloads at that point, but I'm not sure which ones may not have converted properly. I'll check it out and see...my son's been bugging me to get him a song, so I'll look for an MP3 file and try it out. Okay, I checked it out and read the MP3 vs WMA files info they now have available. Unfortunately, I could not find one of the songs I needed as an MP3 file...only WMA. Maybe the MP3 thing is rather new and they haven't got too many uploaded yet? I'll keep an eye out though...it might only be $0.10 cheaper, but that adds up quickly around here.
  21. I believe Rhapsody (had it a long time ago) lets you d/load songs to a playlist on your computer thru their program. But in order to d/load to an MP3 player or CD, you have to pay for it first. Then (and this is with almost all of the sites), you can only copy or d/load that purchased song so many times before your license for the file expires...but don't worry, it's usually like 10 times. I have not noticed or encountered that problem with Itunes though, so maybe that's one advantage to Itunes. I'm not really a fan of Itunes, but my kids have Ipods and that's what you have to use. If you're using a regular (non-Ipod) player, you might be better off financially using Walmart.com or the like where you don't have to pay any monthly fee to use their program (like Rhapsody).
  22. I'm not completely up on ***** but I believe it is no different than *****...most (if not all) of the material on there is an illegal copy. You're better off to stick to Rhapsody, Itunes, Walmart, etc, so as not to infringe on the copyrights. Here's a list of legal music download sites, straight from the RIAA's site: http://www.riaa.com/toolsforparents.php?content_selector=legal_music_sites This list is much larger than the last time I reviewed it, so there are quite a lot of choices to explore.
