  1. Okay, what's that link for the tracker again...?? (Please)
  2. Okay, I'm still looking for a new front load washer/dryer set...can't seem to make up my mind and I'm looking for more reviews. Besides Epinions, Consumer Reports and ths.gardenweb, can anyone recommend other sites where consumers post reviews of products?
  3. I'm looking to buy something on QVC but wondered if anyone knows of any coupon codes that they might have going on? I've seen HSN coupons, but cannot remember seeing any for QVC...anyone know of any?
  4. I just ordered a bunch for my mom on Ebay...much better deal, but they didn't come in a box (to save on the shipping cost). Bags were authentic and in perfect condition and received them in 2 days.
  5. I would have never even thought of that one!! Good idea!
  6. MandaJo...you are the best !! I've searched & searched, googled, etc. and never find anything close...you have found exactly what I'm looking for!! Much appreciated!! Lowes & Home Depot ... I've looked there and asked the sales people...they look at me like I'm stupid.
  7. I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this one... I'm looking to find a bathtub overflow cover that allows you to fill the bathtub up without the water going out the overflow drain. I used to see them all the time in Lillian Vernon or Harriett Carter catalogs, but am unable to locate them now. Anyone know where I can find this product?? Any help would be appreciated!!
  8. Your friend may want to ask her pediatrician (or the local hospital) if they know of anyone that rents Medela pumps. The Medela pumps are very good and I highly recommend renting one, rather than paying $40-50 for a cheap electric pump from Walmart/Target, etc. There is a BIG difference in those pumps and a Medela ... and that's why they are so inefficient for most moms. I got info on renting one from the Maternity ward bulletin board at the hospital when my youngest son was born. I had to leave the hospital, but he was too sickly to leave yet and they recommended that I pump. (I had purchased an Evenflo pump when my oldest was born...let me tell you, there is no comparison). I actually was able to nurse longer with my youngest because the pump was so efficient and easy to use. I think I only paid about $45 for a 3 month rental and the lady offered a disc. if you rented it for longer periods.
  9. I'm in the market for a front-load washer & new dryer as well. I cannot remember if I read it on GD or some other forum, so if anyone knows the answer, please do post. I read that front-load washers are not recommended for 1st floor installations...basement is best for these washers due to the vibration from high speed rinse/spin cycles. Unfortunately, I don't have a basement, so I'm not sure if first floor installation is a safe bet. Anyone know? I called Sears installation today and they could not answer the question one way or another.
  10. I love my Oreck and recommend it to anyone...lightweight, easy to manuever, great suction..actually almost self-propels itself. I spent quite a few bucks on the XL21, but I was looking to replace my 5th vacuum in 4 years...this Oreck came with a 21 yr warranty and free tune-ups once a year. (They have more affordable vacs than the XL21.) I've had 4 of the bagless vacuums and find them to be so dusty, poor suction and hard to keep clean themselves. The Oreck has a bag, but it's great for keeping the dirt, dust, hair, etc locked inside the bag when I change them.
  11. We've had Direct for at least 4 years now and have only once had to call someone out to fix something...lightning zapped out multiswitch box. But we pay for the protection plan and it didn't cost anything extra. We previously had Dish Network and it went out all the time, if the wind blew the wrong way, if it ranined at all...it was awful. We then switched back to cable for awhile...then the rates skyrocketed and I started looking at DTV. Definitely better customer service w/DTV and the rates are much better than our cable company. We have 2 DVRs (w/Tivo) and they need to be connected to the phone line to update the listings daily. None of our other receivers have ever been connected to the phone lines and they've always worked just fine.
  12. I bought some a few years back to store comforters, extra pillows, etc. They sealed fine, "smooshed" everything down like they were supposed to...then they ripped, one by one. Bought some new ones at a local store figuring I must have done something wrong...same thing, bag material was very thin and ripped easily. Went to Walmart and bought Rubbermaid containers instead...obviously not space saving, but they haven't ripped yet.
  13. We bought our Sleep Number bed off of QVC several years ago and have not had any problems with it. I have had back issues since my first pregnancy, so the ability to adjust the firmness is wonderful. My husband keeps his side very "squishy" ... if you ask me, it's nearly deflated! I have not moved my bed since we originally purchased it, so I'm now going to check on the condition inside...never thought of condensation or mold being a problem. Hopefully all is well.
  14. Infomercials & their customer service can be a complete nightmare. I ordered something off the tv quite a few years ago and had to have the CC company close my account and open a new one. The company figured I needed to be on the auto-ship plan and continously sent me their terribly overpriced, non-effective product and charged my card over & over again. I called their customer service #s for months to try to make it stop (very rude, hung up, couldn't find my account info, etc), sent shipments back unopened and they never refunded the money. My cc company disputed the charges for me and helped with closing the account so they would not be able to continue charging me. Nowadays, if I "need" something I've seen on an infomercial, I look to Boscov's locally first, then HSN/QVC, sometimes Ebay.
  15. I buy from QVC a few times a year, only dealt w/HSN once or twice...much prefer QVC cusomter service. QVC has the best deal on Dell computer packages that I've been able to find and I have purchased my last 2 computers from them. Other than the computers, I've only purchased smaller, less expensive things...I'm not a big spender and most of the stuff is overpriced.
  16. Lots of cruise reviews (by ship, by cruise line, etc) on http://www.cruisecritic.com. My husband and I have been "looking" at cruising for awhile now and spend a lot of time on this site, reading reviews and articles. You can search available cruises from there as well.
  17. I just purchased a refurbished/certified black 1GB Nano on the Apple site for $89!! Guess they just got them back in stock...oh and standard shipping was free too!! The 2GB Nano is only $10 more for $99. Here's the link to the refurbished Nanos that they have in stock now... http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?find=refurbished+nano
  18. I purchased my original DVR w/Tivo directly from DTV a few years ago. I've picked up 3 more since then, all from Ebay. Two were factory refurbished, with warranties, one is just a slightly used DVR. I have had not a problem with any of them in the 3-4 yrs we've had them. I looked on DTV's site and they have lots of info regarding the HD-DVR option, so if you have not already done so, read up on it there first to find out the fees, system requirements, etc. Then you can hunt around to find the best price on the DVR...whether it be from DTV, Ebay or some other site. My understanding the last time I tried to order equip from DTV was that they no longer sell the equipment, but rather lease it to you. After I argued that I already owned the rest of my equipment, they finally told me that I COULD purchase one outright, but it was 3x what I originally paid for the DVR. Basically, they want you to lease the equip. Also, I do not see any DTV w/Tivo equipment listed on the site...but you can find them on Ebay for sure (HD included).
  19. Awesome, thanks so much for the replies...we'll be starting the process tonight. I will be switching my boys' accounts too if all goes well.
  20. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm not up on this money market acct stuff yet. Is your money at risk of going up & down with the stock market? Or does it just sit there and earn interest and stay safe?
  21. Just an FYI...Watch DTV when you call for new equipment upgrades these days...they don't sell equip at decent prices anymore because they want to lease you the equipment. If you want a new one to purchase/own, they will quote you a price 2-3x the price they used to offer the same piece of equipment before they moved to their leased equipment plans. I had previously upgraded to a (regular) Tivo DVR and bought it for $99...when I called back to order another, it was suddenly $399 to purchase, but only $99 if I wanted to lease it, plus the monthly fees. Found a new one on Ebay for $59.99 + shipping, took my chances and it worked out great. So, if you don't have any luck w/DTV directly, try Ebay, there are plenty of reputable dealers of DTV equipment on there.
  22. I just received an email from Buy.com today advertising a deal using the Google Checkout option...clicked on it and went to Buy.com...says "hurry, offer ends soon" for the Google checkout discount, but no mention of any dates. So, as of today....it's still up & running I guess. :)
  23. Unfortunately, I need the more expensive men's size 6.5... I've frequently been checking all of the sites that carry any Etnies...including Journeys, Pac Sun, and CCS. They either don't carry that style in those colors, or they don't have his size available.
  24. Unfortunately, I need the more expensive men's size 6.5...
  25. Awesome, I'll take any help I can find...here are the best deals I've found so far. If you can find of any discount codes/coupons to help bring the prices down...I'd be forever grateful! :) Zappo's $53.95 (sale thru Friday) w/free shipping Danscomp.com $54.99 Eastbay $62.99 (w/10% off code) BlackholeBoards.com $63.95 Etnies.com $69.99 w/free shipping
