Happy first day of spring! It is currently 27 degrees here in Georgia. I woke up this morning again to the sound of a helicopter. I live about a mile from a farm, and the peach trees have already bloomed. They are okay until about 28 degrees. The farm brings in a helicopter to help push the warm air down around the trees, gaining about 2 degrees. Pretty neat, actually. We'll probably have 1 more day of helicopters this week... and by the end of the week, we are expected to hit 80!

Yay March. We've had some warm and pretty weather the last few weeks, trees and flowers are blooming, and SO MUCH pollen! Today was cooler, and looks like it's staying that way at least the next 5 days, with some nighttime temps in the 30s. Bleh.

And meanwhile here in Atlanta, it is 76 at 1pm, and still climbing. I'm taking advantage of the nice weather to do some pressure washing, before the spring/summer when the Temps are almost unbearable for long periods.

Yay February! Happy groundhog day! And today is my grandson's 8th birthday. I'm excited to go see him this weekend. It's a 3 hour trip, so I don't see them as much as I'd like.

My husband and mom both got me way too much stuff. This is the first year I've tried to keep things on my Amazon list, and that made things easier, no more asking what I wanted or sending lists. Today was candy making day! Marshmallows, butter mints, and 19 dozen buckeyes! Cookies are up next.

My Monday shopping trip went okay, but I couldn't find any of the gift cards I needed. So I'm heading back out tomorrow.

I think I'm in good shape. I took off work Monday, and my husband and I are going to start at opposite ends of the shopping center and look for small stocking things, and I have 5 or 6 gift cards to also pick up. I'm waiting on I think 3 packages, which all should arrive by Sunday. I've usually still got things coming Christmas Eve, so I'm happy to be this ahead.

Our district goes through Wednesday the 21st this year. They did that last year, and I decided then I would take off that partial week this year. So I'm singing along, "One more week of work for 2022..."

So we are under 2 weeks away from Christmas. Eek. Both my grown kids who live at or close to home took off work the week after Christmas, and my husband and I are off, so I'm excited to have us all 4 together.

So how is your wrapping going? Do you do big wrapping marathons, or wrap as you go? I got productive this weekend and wrapped all the gifts for Christmas day. That is pretty early for me. I am still waiting on a few things, and still have a few more things to purchase. But I'm hoping to wrap those as they arrive. I still have the gifts for my out-of-town daughter and 2 grandsons to wrap. I don't have enough room under my tree for all those, and I'm trying to find some cool paper for the 7yo. It will likely be after Christmas when I see them, so I still have a little time.

The inside was done last weekend. And as of today we finally have all the outside (front) decorations up. Did most last weekend, but had to order a couple more things. Still waiting on some more lights to arrive to put on the back porch and deck, so that'll be done next weekend.

Yay December! Advent/count down calendars can start today.

Mine's not going bad. Most everyone is done or basically done. Still nothing for my sister or BIL. And I need something else for grown daughter and her boyfriend. However, right now the stockings will be empty!! So I gotta work on that.

So I'm no fun. A few years back I got tired of getting up early and staying up late. And going out. I don't like being out at dark (I can't see well to drive and riding also makes me nervous). I've been doing the majority of my shopping online for quite a while. So for me it's been nice not having all that pressure and stress. It also helps that there isn't really a lot of popular items on my list, and not a lot of must-haves.
