I just renewed for my 3rd year. I had not been a big walmart shopper for many years, and I hardly ever go into the store. I now live "on the other side of the town square" from most stores, and I don't love leaving my house. So I have been using the delivery service. I get a grocery order delivered about once a month. They carry some items that my regular grocery store does not. So that's been nice. And I also enjoy the free shipping. It also offers a gas discount. I don't get gas often (I live 3 miles from work, and my husband and I carpool), but every couple of months I make a 3 hour trip (each way), and Walmart happens to be across the street from the meet-up place with my mom. So I take advantage of that discount. We already had Paramount plus when I joined, but now that it is canceled, I'll probably join again through Walmart when we need it again I have used the early access a few times, but I'm not sure it was on a thing that was a sell-out item. But for me, the delivery and free shipping is worth it. I would definitely recommend it at half price.

I bought MIL a new roomba. To replace the fancy self-empyting one we bought her last month, that she decided she didn't like after the return period was up. Ar least I got $45 kohl's cash though! I may treat myself to a steam mop using that.

I am adding a carpet cleaner and steam mop to my list.

My grandfather got me a globe for Christmas one year, when I was probably about 8. That was a big deal because he was not in charge of the shopping! I loved that globe!

Same. I keep the site bookmarked and visit several times a day!

Happy November! Our trees finally started turning this week, so it's looking like fall. We also have some possibilities of rain later this week, so that's good news since we haven't had any rain in over 5 weeks!

Oh that's right. Maybe it's Thanksgiving day that is 40% off?

We had 22 trick-or-treaters this year. About what I was expecting. And I bought 2 big bags of candy for a total of 320 pieces for some reason. The leftovers will go to Relay for Life to hand out at the city Christmas parade. We have a walkway across the front of the house, so it's a bit of a walk. So the last couple of years we have sat in the driveway. We'll bring the inflatable Hello Kitty skeleton, and a couple of light up pumpkins. My favorite halloween decorations that we have are light up faces for the trees. We have woods on the side of the house, so I'll stick them in there. Not sure anyone else likes them, but it just tickles me to death! I keep them on all night, so I get to see them when I leave in the morning. And of course, my Geese Henry and Liza are dressed up for Halloween!

It seems like black Friday is usually 40% off site wide. So that makes hand soaps about $4.75. I don't remember if they do other sales alongside the 40% off or not. I always wait for the $2.95 sales, or if I really love something, I'll splurge at $3.50.

We usually do outside on black Friday, and the inside the rest of the weekend (and sometimes over the next week). But we have talked about maybe doing outside a little earlier, and then turning things on on Thanksgiving. My husband got a new giant (20 ft) inflatable he's super excited about. Me, not so much. I think I'll stick to the weekend after Thanksgiving for inside though. But I do hate it'll only be 3 weeks with the decorations up, because I have a LOT of decorations, and that's a lot of work for only 3 weeks.

I'd pick the Amazing Giant Sonic Robot!! And the train set.

Well looks like we've just added a desktop computer to the list. Preferably Dell. They usually have a pretty good BF sale, so I should be able to find something.

We are boring. We do the same thing every year. Mama does most of the cooking, and I do the baking. I do make the cranberry sauce, though. Thanksgiving Roasted turkey Dressing (no stuffing) Mashed potatoes Egg noodles Sweet potato casserole Green beans Squash casserole (maybe) Fried Squash Corn Rolls Deviled eggs Homemade cranberry sauce Pickles, green olives, black olives, cheese Dessert will probably include pumpkin pie and dirt cake. Not sure what else. No Christmas parties for us, we have no friends. Christmas Eve I'm usually lazy and fix a Stouffer's lasagna. Christmas Day Honey baked ham Turkey breast Mashed potatoes Egg noodles Sweet potato casserole Green beans Corn Rolls Deviled eggs Homemade cranberry sauce Pickles, green olives, black olives, cheese Dessert will be buckeyes, mints, brownies, cool whip cookies, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, snickerdoodles, candy cane cookies, chocolate covered peanut butter Ritz, homemade marshmallows... and whatever else I come across and want to make! New Years day Smoked pork roast Mashed potatoes Black eyed peas Collard greens Turnip greens Green beans Deviled eggs Pickles, green olives, black olives, cheese

Sigh. I don't have hardly any ideas for people yet. Toys are always good, and sales plentiful. This year I have an infant and toddler grandchildren. I got a bit already on prime days. Both my sons need new converse, so that's one thing I'll be watching for. I usually get them after black Friday, when they'll be on sale but I have kohl's cash from BF shopping. Other than that, I dunno. Hopefully I'll get some ideas from the sales!

I Iooked at that suitcase! That caught my eye because I had gotten back from a flight that same day. But I don't plan to go anywhere again soon! Good to know you liked it.

I am known for making buckeyes every Christmas. When I first made them, i got a recipe out of the church cookbook. I didn't realize it was enough to feed the whole church! But I still use that recipe, and they all get eaten. Buckeyes (chocolate covered peanut butter balls) - Makes approximately 19 DOZEN 1 pound butter 2 pounds peanut butter 3 pounds powdered sugar Semi sweet chocolate chips or other melting chocolate Mix together first 3 ingredients. I start with a mixer, then you may need to finish with your hands. Roll into small balls. Smaller than you think you should. Put in freezer for a few minutes. Use a toothpick to dip balls into melted chocolate. Sometimes I put a tiny bit of oil in the melted chocolate. Place back in freezer to get hard. Picture shows 229 buckeyes, a few chocolate dipped pretzels using leftover chocolate, homemade marshmallows, and homemade buttermints.

With the sales this week I finally got started shopping. I am getting ready!
-
Looked through the new deals, or at least ones that weren't in the sneak peak, and got 3 more items. I am happy with my shopping progress over the last 2 days. But I gotta stop now!!
-
And... just bought 3 more things for the grandbaby!
-
I got home from my trip yesterday and my gift was waiting for me. Thank you Brad! That's awesome.
-
Oh goodness. I've bought so much. I guess I finally got in the mood. I've got my daughter and 3yo grandson pretty much done. I bought 1 thing for my 9yo grandson, and 3 or 4 things for the 6 month old granddaughter. My niece's birthday is next week, so that is done now too. And, I did manage to get a couple things for myself as well.
-
I actually bought a few things from Walmart! I added them to my list a couple days ago. And then actually didn't change my mind!
-
Happy October! I'm 4 states away from home. Can't wait to get home next week and see the prize! I'm pretty sure it was delivered yesterday. Tonight we're headed to a fancy party, and tomorrow is the even fancier wedding. I'm way out of my element!

Happy fall! It was 93 degrees here today! We had our false fall a couple weeks ago. Maybe in a few more weeks it will get cool again.
