Hello June! School ended for us last week, so today is our first day without teachers and students. I'm finishing up a few things from this school year, but I'm already transitioning into the 21/22 school year to start getting things ready for teachers to return in July, and students in August.

I've been doing my part and shopping for Star Wars day! Got the R2-D2 lego set Friday night (fun times waiting til midnight and fighting with a slammed website!), pre-ordered the Droid stamp set Saturday (releases today), and ordered some new Star Wars Pyrex. Eyeing a new Ruggable Star Wars rug, they have 15% off today.

May, lots of things going on! My youngest turns 22, mother's day, anniversary, and the last day of school. Lots to do at work to get ready for that. Oh, and we bought some living room furniture March 2 to replace what we bought in 1994! It should arrive Saturday after 9 weeks waiting, and I'm getting so nervous. I'm afraid I won't like it as well as what I have now. Im.jealous though, mama bought some Thursday, and hers will also be delivered this Saturday! She hardly had to wait at all. (But she has ZERO patience with waiting for things, so that's good. In fact she doesn't know I bought furniture yet, so she wouldn't have to wait on mine!)

Today is my son's 25th birthday (yikes!) And he wasn't asking for anything, so I got everyone to get him $25 GCs. That was fun! And both him and my daughter got new jobs last week, and my youngest was contacted by a major company's corporate office for a possible internship, so that is all exciting news for them! Hooray!

I thought my husband already owned every Chemical Guys product. Apparently not. Also on sale are their hand sanitizer spray and spray hand soap, so I got all 3. Now certainly he has them all!

Happy April! We are officially on spring break, hooray! Time to plan on the things, then lament at the end of the week when I don't get them all done.

So glad you are feeling better! Congratulations! So fun! I recently found out I have another grandbaby on the way. My daughter had a blood test last week and we are waiting to find out the gender. Woohoo!

Happy New Year!!

All my gifts are purchased, delivered, and wrapped, including one that wasn't expected until January! That one arrived today (even though initial tracking said tomorrow), and just in time because I'm heading down to see my daughter and grandson tomorrow! So that was pretty exciting, especially since I had a hard time finding the item in stock. Marshmallows and butter mints are made. Buckeyes are not. Daughter will have to get hers after new years.

And THIS is why I haven't started cookie baking, and why I always wait until a couple days before Christmas before I start. I do plan to start candy today. Buttermints and marshmallows, and buckeyes might get started too if I'm super motivated.

Hehe! That's hilarious! I didn't even notice I did that. And thanks! I've had the same topper for almost 15 years, so this year I changed it up a bit and made a new bow and added some floral picks to jazz it all up.

So, we're about a week out from Christmas. How is everyone doing getting ready? Is your shopping done? Everything all wrapped and under the tree? What about cooking/baking/candy making? I think I purchased my last gifts last night. I felt comfortable waiting because I was getting them from Amazon, and they have been very reliable with their shipping service. But one of the orders with 2 items shipped USPS instead of Amazon, so I'm holding my breath on those. But it won't be disastrous if they don't make it. I'm also waiting for about 5 other packages, but only a couple are gifts, and clothes at that, so it won't be a big deal if they don't arrive. I do have one order that hasn't shipped at all yet, but I knew that was risky when I ordered, so I'm crossing my fingers for that. I have everything wrapped that goes under my tree for opening at home. My daughter's are wrapped and in a pile in the "wrapping room", and I'll wrap my grandson's tonight. I'm afraid if those get under the tree I'll miss one and forget to take it when I visit next week. I haven't started any baking yet. I think I have all the ingredients, so I'll need to start the buckeyes this weekend, then cookies later in the week. Overall I feel like I'm in a good spot and about ready!
